once you get the conversion harness it is quite literally a bolt in swap. subarus are insane with how you can combine engines and transmissions with random chassis from across the years. in fact, you can bolt in this ej series engine into subaru brats and leons.

Great cars I had a jdm version 1 WRX. Super fast and handled well from stock. Awd, turbo, 5seats and weighing less than 1200kg. Sure do miss it

drumboarder1 actually boosted Subaru’s are far more reliable than N/A ones, that’s why people say their so unreliable is because they have a n/a grocery getter that blew
@@fungus2116 I've always heard the 2.5s were the worst and like I said boosted going to shit but that could well just be that people upgraded the turbo or something and that's what causes it

In the uk the classic is worth 2-3k and Sti’s go for 4-5k. The blob however is rocketing in price. Pretty sure he had a widetrack there too.

Technically, it was never a GC8 to begin with. It was a GM6; G is the vehicle line (Impreza), C is the bodystyle (C for sedan and M for coupe. And that's correct; Subaru really made C sedan and not coupe), and 8 is a forced induction EJ20.
But I'm being pedantic. GC8 is just shorthand to refer to that chassis. SO in that regard; yeah, still a GC8.
