love the 98/99 gc8 wrx its the best looking module in my opinion its just missing the 2.5ltr the ej20 or 205 just does not like to make reliable power.... some good advice given for the next build cheers..

Also do you have a Oil Catch Can ( which one? ) or AOS ( which one? ) and why isn't your RPM gauge working on the dash? I had the 4.44 fd, alongside a Version 4 STi RA gearbox on my fozzy XT. 4000 rpm at 120km/h, but man, that thing could respond. It had the torque of the 2.5l to help it alongside a vf48
You don't need to be paying 1/4 of a grand for an AFM 😂😂, search up GU Patrol 00-04 MAF on Ebay they are exactly the same for only $30, i've had a good run with those ebay sensors the worst i had failed after 8 months but at nearly 10x cheaper it's not bad 🤔 on another note I really want a low ratio final drive after seeing this video , man those gear changes are perfect !

If that's with the stock td04l, mine must not be tuned correctly... My GC8 is also at 182kw's @ all 4 with vf34, 264 cams, 3 inch exhaust and an elite 1500 running the whole show. There is other supporting mods done btw.
Should upgrade the wheels.. A common upgrade in Portugal is blobeye sti wheels redrilled for 5x100. They are 8" wide and et53, this gives a slightly larger footprint and a wider track. Easier upgrade is the bugeye sti wheels, same effect but are not as wide, width and track.

Why was this only 130kw? isn't that only like 170hp? i thought these were 276? That engine sound (Exhaust sound actually) is SO incredible, you'd wonder why every cvar enthusiast doesn't just swap their exhaust header system for an unequal one to get that identical sound as you get from these
They supplied my JZA70 1JZ with OEM harness and ECU for my Cressy a few years before Scott went silly and became a WRX shop. 😁 Ichiban could get you imported motors back in the day when you thought there were none left in existence. 👍
GT-R in a few weeks. We are working on it now. JET200 we are slowly collecting parts but its realistacally a couple of months away with our busy event and build schedule.
synchro box and open diffs dont need heal and toe. would make no difference. Cant stay on throttle as we need to turn in and throttle gives WRX understeer.
@@AdmissionGaming OK. So if we dont compression lock in any way and the synchros work and it goes into gear, how is it helping anyhting? Our Silvia time attack car gets compression lock as rear end is light and tight diff and has a dog box, so, it needs rev matching. If we do it in the wrx its just to look and sound cool. it wont help in this car.
I always thought rev matching would put less load on the gearbox & things like oil pump & timing gears but I've driven some standard cars that will grind if you dont rev match when gearing down abruptly but I am not sure about WRX's?
@@MotiveVideo because when you double clutch the shift your allowing the synchros to speed up without any load on them, one it's better you won't get compression lock up, it's also better on the gearbox if done correctly. If your going from 5th into 3rd while braking you need to rev match it.
thinking intercooler mister . but i see it at the nose of the hood as well . so im confused also , hope it wasn't a way to taint the comparison , and assure more power with the filter by using water for its wicking ability to draw heat out , making cooler IAT's . sketched me out also when i saw it . but cant think of anything else that makes sense ..
@@MotiveVideo good deal , and yeah we couldn't see it on the prior pulls . you should look into the DEI ( design engineering inc ) CRYO2 intercooler CO2 sprayer system . the combination works amazingly .
It'll be interesting to see how the DBA rotors go for you. The ones I've seen are in an underbraked targa car but need to be replaced almost daily, depending on the weather.

19th out of 90 something...I'd say it makes a good track car too.
I had 4.44 on my old rs liberty. In fifth gear on the highway it sat on 3500rpm at 100km/h. Not great for a daily... but damn it was fun!

How about a Wrx RA gearbox and a Vf37 setup? Mated to that 4.44 diff, I'm sure it would be responsive out of corners!

Does this thing burn oil at all with that many kms? My old bug eye would use half a litre of oil a month !

hmm.. most make 150-160 tuned on dyno dynamics dyno maxed out on 98 fuel.
Try heel and toe d.shifting or try keep the throttle open while cornering (bad idea but idk)

Guessing it switches to using a map sensor instead. Probably comes with ecu

what is the loss of power/hesitation on the straights when in 4th gear? at the 21:47 and 22:29 minute marks
it spiked and hit boost cut. Didnt do it on dyno but did loaded up on the road in cool weather.
