Love subarus, more of a GD body style lover. Never understood why anyone either running a jdm gc8 or usdm gc8 with an sti or wrx swap, would choose to put on that very un appealing, crooked tmic. Doesn't make sense to me, it's small, and crooked. Is it supposed to be that way from factory? I'd opt for gd and up tmic or fmic.

The wrx ra’s were even more stripped down then the sti’s so maybe they were more destined to be off the lot and into racing. Dean at type-ra.com would definitely know the origins of the caged early ra’s
I Did an underbody overhaul to my bugeye, not as in depth as the gc but powder coated everything and new bushings. Made it feel like a new car again. Good for another 20 years now. They dont make them like the used, refreshing an old car is way cooler then buying a new one. Hope you get to do it one day
There are not many sports cars in Korea. They are almost all sedans and SUVs. Nowadays, clubs and other clubs are gradually forming after restoring cars from the 1990s and 1980s. But even in Japan or the U.S., these restoration cultures are developed a lot. I'm just jealous.
It is always interesting to see how different cultures react to keeping the classic tuner cars going. Some places they are just daily traffic and some places they extinct almost

@@닥스훈트루키-v1h I find with the popular classic japanese cars that they are somewhat easy to get parts for compared to more off beat classic jdm cars. Only issue is the prices for getting parts for them and its really spread out in terms of places to obtain the parts. But i would say the popular classics do have pretty good support still!
Hey so we changed your tires and since we had it up in the air already we went ahead and ripped off your side panels, and replaced every single component. Oh and we also deflanged the hyperdrive fuse box manifold
Type ra’s never came with any under coating. Thats what makes them special. Compared to original it has 2 coats of epoxy then red paint. Under normal circumstances it will never rust unless dragged over rocks or something to get down to metal
The are a great set “tein flex z” all teins are unfortunately green 🥲 and your right they are a bit of a clash underneath. I do have some never used custom made fortune autos (all black) but I plan on saving them for my coupe build

This is a wrx Ra, not and sti Ra. The wrx was the same drivetrain as the sti but the wrx was more stripped done. (Lighter) I got the parts from all over the world really. Europe, Australia, Japan and some stuff around north America. Found this site to be good for Japanese specific new parts as well Japanparts.com
@@mr.smoosh1998 tricky to navigate the site sometimes but found a few needed things on it. Another interesting tip I found is: if you find the part number for some jdm specific part. Honestly call your local dealer with the part number. I cant count how many parts they were able to get jdm parts for me. Even if the part comes up no applicable model or not in warehouse. Subaru will send it from japan to north american warehouse. Ordered more stuff this week, takes like 3 weeks to come in but subaru pays the shipping 😉
Are you in North America? I plan to sell this one soon. Otherwise, they often can be found through private sellers or importers. It is becoming more difficult to find legitimately nice ones though
