- Exploring an abandoned boarding house located way out on a deserted island is today's video. This old boarding house was in operation up to the early 1900's and was later abandoned with most everything left behind. It was creepy exploring the house and reading the messages that were scrawled on the walls by guests 100 years ago. Unfortunately, the house is falling into disrepair and will soon melt away onto the forest floor with all physical evidence of its presence gone forever.

Thanks for watching…. The Chigg
InstaBlaster...
Oh man, such a shame to see these houses neglected and left to ruin, there seem to be so many? I'd love to hear the stories of people who lived in that house. Thanks for recording and sharing this
Chigg I wished you could have walked around the island and seen the granite quarry and all the old machinery kicking around. They used to take granite off that island. My wife’s family used to caretake that house till the mid nineties
Could you fill us in on some of the history of the house?
Yeah man would love to hear more of the story about the house!
So did they house granite workers there?
I’ll tell ya what, growing up in the North East, I believe we have the the best tellers of scary stories and legends in America. This series of yours from up north gives me a ton of nostalgia and happy memories, Chigg. Thank you for doing what you do.
That house still has great potential clean scower paint and it would be beautiful again
What a place to fix up. Would bankrupt ya I reckon.
Gonna take A LOT more than some paint to fix that old place up.
I love the "Landshark" reference!! That one literally made me laugh out Loud!!
The house would be a great candidate for restoration. The foundation looked good, floor joists seemed solid, large rooms. What a great project!
Before Yelp reviews, people had to scratch their reviews into the paneling.
lol...
Just 1 old abandoned derelict house among thousands across this great land of ours. Think of all the wonderful memories made there....the vacations, the family times, the shared joy of so many.
"Another day, another adventure!"
This is how we should approach every day. Thanks for taking us along on another exciting exploration.
For most of us our biggest adventure is getting to work in time
I agree with you!!!. First thing I thought was that I love that stove !!!
I've never understood why people leave so much behind.
Cj W It could be that the owner died, and the family didn’t want the stuff.
You would think that anyone owning a beautiful home on an otherwise uninhabited island would keep it in full working order, what a shame👍
Wish I had money I'd buy and refurbish that house. Can be brought back..
What a great house. It still has so much to offer. If that was close to me and I could afford fixing it, I would jump on that one. Especially being on it’s own Island. Love the adventures. Thank you for sharing.
What a amazing adventure. I cant believe how someone would leave all that beautiful furniture behind. But then again we dont know the situation. I would love to know the history on that place.
My Aunt was born in 1925 and is doing really great. She lives in Masontown Pennsylvania. I love it there. Very small Cole mining town.
Thanks for taking us along with you today. I really enjoyed it. I would love to own a place like that.
Be safe and keep on searching awesome places. Captain Billy is something else 😁
Loved the history lesson, wow! The house is neat. I love the old wood paneling. Thanks for sharing
Catawampus means “askew,” “awry,” or “crooked.” We do know the word has been around for more than a century and is spelled many different ways, such as cattywampus and caddywampus. It may derive from the Scots word wampish, meaning to “wriggle,” “twist,” or “swerve.” (waywordradio.org)
I bet that house was a beauty in its day! I know watching your video, my blood pressure was elevated! Waiting for something to jump out at us! Thank you for the grand tour!! Would have loved more history on it. Can't wait for your next video!!💙
Love when you find these old places. Honestly even enjoyed Billy's story, even if it might have been exagerated
Dude this is a great idea for a series just exploring old hunted houses
Really enjoyed this one brother!!! That is one beautiful house in a magical place, Im sure many a wonderful childhood adventure was had there. Its a shame its in such disrepair. And I would love to have that stove as well, really cool. Thank you very much for sharing this with us my friend.
I bet that was a nice place in it's day. Thanks for taking us along
I didn't think that place would be as big as it was, pretty amazing. I guess fishermen stayed there or what is the history behind this boarding house? Anyone know? I always love the old wood cook stoves and those parlour stoves were great items to refinish. Thanks for the walk through primary lane ( the coloured walls & furniture). lol
Hiker X it was where the workers stayed when they harvested granite off the island.
So Bizarre! But great Adventure, thanks for taking us along, Spring seems to be a long time coming up there! Keep safe! 👍🐾🦘😉
Opening fridges in abandoned houses is like digging pull-tab signals, Chigg just gotta do it.
I'm an Aussie and a fairly new follower of your channel and I have to tell you that I love how your mind ticks and you bring us along for the ride.
I chuckled most of the way through this video, but I must say. When you were in the basement and mentioned the little bare feet...I was out of there. No way could I let myself imagine THAT, while in a place like you were in.😂
Well done and keep em coming. 😊
What a fascinating house. Would love to know the history.
Dude you got some big ones to go in that one !!!! After Billy said dead body's found.... oh heck no.... Thanx Chigg for another great AQUACHIGGER ADVENTURE see ya on the next
Dude, how long has this place ACTUALLY been abandoned for?? It’s so odd seeing such new items alongside such old of inscriptions. I wonder if locals treated it as kind of a communal house? Judging by the coke and the maritime equipment out front, and the mix of new and old generators and all, makes me think people kinda just went there and respected the property for the most part. Nothing there they is destroyed seems to be the work of humans. This is insanely humbling to see. Thank you for showing this. I pray this place is preserved and continues to serve the community for decades to come. THIS is a historic landmark, no if’s and’s or but’s.
I was looking for bottles in the basement. Didn't see any. It was nice to find an old place like this with no modern graffiti. Take care, stay safe and well.
Wow! I can only imagine what that place was like in its good days, it's even pretty decent when you filmed it. Thank you for the video, I love that stuff. Unfortunately they just get wasted and all that history gone forever, makes me think of Mineola hotel in fox lake Illinois.
Billy takes you to the best places. Another great one.
WoW Beau, That old house is quite clean and looks almost dust free... sure there is dust but compairing to other older houses being abadoned..this looks like someone dusted before you're arrival...You have not one scare'd hair do you? I would never go about in an house like that the way you are... So thank you for having the guts to go in an share all the goodness with us..Love from South Africa
Enjoyed this one Chigg! Thanks for sharing!
Enjoyed watching as always !!
Love the old Glenwood. Thanks again for the great work you do.
You do always manage to find the creepiest places Chigg, but half the fun of watching is seeing how much you are going to freak yourself out with your imagination. ...ha ha ha... Billy did a fine job sending you out on this little adventure. This had a creep factor of 9. Glad you made it back to the boat, or did ja?!
I can't believe you didn't take the old wood burning stove home with you.
Probably too big for the small boat they came in
Loved the adventure. You never fail to make me chuckle. Thank you
Only saw one bathroom, with all those bedrooms it's no wonder if they did all poop on the beds. Lol. Saw some full rolls of toilet paper, tho, which is funny in these times... cheers
Yo what up beau? Dude love all your videos and so look forward to them all the time. I honestly can’t wait till I’m in a point in my life where I can have a channel and share things with people as well. I live In the catskill mountains in upstate ny born n raised. I’ve been all up n down the east coast and as far west as New Orleans which is always considered south but as far west as I’ve been. But have gotten to detect in some nice areas and always places to find where no one has ever detected before, the finest virgin ground that all detectorist dream of and it is just waiting for someone like you or I to come along and see it since it was lost to time. To me the thought of being the first people to see or touch something that a past generation dropped or lost is a feeling like no other and if you happen to. E part of the rare experience of reuniting a prized possession to someone who thought it was gone forever. The gift of being part of that is priceless. Thanks Chig your a great person on RUclips and someone I have always valued your knowledge of seeing land and things as they once were, truly a gift that you were blessed with and thankful you share it with anyone interested. Thanks again for your hard work and time and sharing whatever knowledge you always have. Would truly be an honor to meet someday. Just purchased property way up in the Catskills up above hunter in s as town called Lexington. Hopefully some good things to be found up there, maybe the long lost treasure of legs diamond or some other gangster that called these mountains home . So many untold riches yet to be unearthed and each year less and less people who care to find it. . Thanks chig for your awesome channel and the inspiration I get from you. Take care my friend!!
Also forgot to say , I truly love the song for your channel!!!! Thanks!!!
love the colors , yellow wall , red trim with a blue door. my kind of people !
Those big durable canvas bags remind me of coal bags. when I was a kid my grandparents house was still heated by coal and when the coal was delivered to guys would run back and forth from a truck with bags like that full of coal and dump it into a chute that would go into the basement
Captain Billy is as cool a man as is the Chigg. What a great friend.
Wow! Awesome house to explore! Man I enjoyed seeing that. It be beautiful place for someomen to restore. Thanks for showing us that.
That house!! What a gem it was! I want to know more about what happened on that island! Oh and lastly, Billy is a hoot and we need moar Billy!!
LAND SHARK!!! 🤣🤣🤣 I wonder if anyone now still gets that... 🤔
Love the adventures keep them up and the stories that go with them
Land Shark. 👍😉😂
(SNL)
I hope you cover that well up so nothing can fall in. Interesting video.
Cynthia Weathers historically, he's really responsible with Wells.
If people like to be isolated . This definitely is a place to live . Has a lot of history. Shame somebody don't restore the house . I enjoyed this video very much . Have a great evening.
Another awesome adventure. Thank you for sharing with us ✊️✊️✊️
Beautiful old stove. Thanks for sharing. Wendy from Canada😀
Man I thought you were gonna end up taking the express elevator from the attic straight to the basement walking up there. :)
Pretty cool 😎 thanks for sharing.
Oh my I love the wood paneling in the upstairs!
Very cool old house it looks livable still a little fixing up
This place is amazing...and you have a very vivid imagination..lol. Love it!
This explore was awesome!
The bed in the pink room - someone took the brass balls from the head & foot frame. There should have been one on each corner (you can see where they should connect). But they couldn't have gone to the attic as those ones are still there. Great explore! Thanks Chigg
Thanks Chigg!!👍
Chigg, as my grandma would say "your a hoot". Grand old house, too bad that it's not kept up, great fixer-uppa. I can only imagine the stories dem walls can tell. Keep the adventures commen
! 👍
Hey man thank you for the video I enjoyed it and you had a bumpy ride there and back but I got to tell you I love that wood burning stove if I had my property I take that wood burning stove and those old 1950 frigerators because they don't make them the way they used to make things they used to make things good back then and they had character to
Wow, now that was really a weird place, creepy in daylight, at night....... The colours on the walls and furniture will bring on nightmares. Just waiting for the rocking chair to move and the ‘Henry’ vacuum to chase you around the room.......eeeek. Run away, run away!
The upstairs was actually beautiful! I bet when it was built it was really beautiful house!
Surprised your buddy didn't have someone hiding to pop out and scare you. Lol
Great video Chigg be safe and GOD BLESS
So interesting!. I bet there were lots of good times for some folks here over the years.
Love the commentary!
It would take a little work to fix that house up, but what a great vacation spot/ B&B. Insulation in the attic, stripping the floors, etc., etc. Cool video!
Love the wood ceiling
Beau the window panes22:22 at the weird elve looking thing top third by tree bottom arms folded could one of the crew!? Spookey again glad there's no smellavision!!!; )
Cool , thanks for sharing,
Enjoyed watching this video..and had a few laughs😂
Another day another adventure couldn't say it better myself
I like the old water safety vest on the wall
Alright!!! another adventure!!!!
Loved this one. You crack me up.🤣🤣. It’s a great house tho. Thank you for taking us with you.
Holy crap. Those colors. Jeezzzzzz
Very interesting old house!
Love the Chigg vids. 👍😎
Held my breath when you opened that fridge!
Wish you had opened the drawers in the bedrooms . Interesting explore though. Love that old glass in the windows. Ooh. That attic was spooky. Half expected someone to be up there waiting for you.. It always amazes me how those old houses have no insulation. But I guess with all those fires going it would prob warm the house sufficiently.
Love that old stove ...... Wow, what a beauty. Would love to have that.
Michael Hargis you can find them all over the northeast.
The creepiest thing was the number of refrigerators/freezers that were in random places throughout the house. That must be where they stored the bodies.🙈
Land Shark, LOVE IT!!!
That's an awesome house! That stove is beautiful!
Like that old house so big , to bad is to far north for me ,love the old stove
wow I was 3rd AD in Germany in the early 90's. love the field jacket.
I truly enjoy this type of exploration 😱😱😱
Yes, I enjoyed it! Love the old abandoned CrEEpY homes!! But this one made me sad!! Sad that it has been let go!! I'm sure the storms and rodents played a part but sad to see the old places in ruins!Cool explore!!👍👍😱🎬🎥📷👻
I recognized the boat trip, ( taken the same trip). Thanks for the tour I know it's the Isle of Schoals, just not which island
What a big, beautifully creepy house!
Land shark.....lol, when Saturday night live kicked ass..
The bags in the attic are still used by utility companies like the power company or telephone company. Outside guys have been using them for years while climbing poles to carry there tools and supplies.
I want your life! Thank you for taking us along ❣
awesome home not to scary.i shear do love old homes
Looks like a part of that Glenwood stove is hanging on the basement wall at 11:06
The water filters in the basement looked super new. How strange. Maybe you were right about people living there still! Lol
