Hey John, Laying in those kitchen cabinets like that is a back breaker. I went to Home depot and bought a 5 piece package of 24x15x1" Styrofoam. I then got a vinyl sign at a thrift store. I draped the vinyl over the Styrofoam and taped it with Gorilla tape. The 5" thickness is approx. the height of the opening of most cabinets. I lay this "pad" down right in front of the cabinet and lay on this while working under the sink. It supports the back great. something to consider!
Great solution! Can't wait to see how it turns out. But honestly the whole situation sucks. Hope the homeowner understands and it doesn't become a nightmare. 🤞
In my opinion every new faucet idea just gets worse and worse. They try to make things “simpler” while producing them cheaper but typically it just makes things more of a pain in the ass. Also, hats off to you brotha you handled that countertop situation very well. Kept your cool and stayed very professional while coming up with a quick solution. Very impressive Johnny. That’s why we watch you. You’re a real plumber, there to get it done
So what about in the UK / EU -- they use CPVC at all ? Or AU ? Wonder if any of you guys over there can say ? I thought this whole Press - Push Connect - PEX was based upon being successfully used in Europe for 40 years ? Then finally brought over here. I see vids -- John Guest fittings in new installs at times. They're UK.
Looks like cheap synthetic. Have a good evening Johnny 🌞just got to the part of the video where he says - I can’t have a 500.00 day - I’d say @#$% not my fault - that counter was broke way before you got there !!
@stevelammers2536 absolutely, the remodel contractor was a total failure, he sold them a sink that was to deep for the waste arm in a block wall, the kitchen sink was falling off the counter when I put the disposal in,had to prop it up with a leg,and the best of all,was the frond of the counter top cracked and fell off,A TOTAL SHIT SHOW,BE CAREFUL WHO YOU HIRE!
Unfortunately, with that counter, they were pretty good. The homeowner even said he expected it to happen someday. I'm glad I have video of the condition of the counter before I started,I also have another video with comments on the condition of the counters when I installed the disposal. People are always trying to sue!
Mr. sunshine that granite is garbage plus the granite guy did him a dis service by selling him a deep bowl sink like that to where there’s probably water sitting in this disposal because the sink so deep and it’s under mount to boot.✌️
Uncle John, they usually cut granite outside cause it's messy. Interesting to see how that goes.

This is where that Old Work sign off comes in -- cause it was fu'd up already -- but I get it. Fantastic solution.
Any chance we can see the finished product, John? I’d love to see the modification to that countertop.

Looking forward to see granite repair with sheet metal fabrication - Experience counts. Thank you for the video
It is better to use a custom glue to glue alabaster... Better than silicone
That sucks man! Looks like it was glued on
