Such a calming, peaceful start to my day here in upstate New York. We have a big snowstorm coming today and oh how I love the tranquility of the sparkling snow especially at this time of year. It’s a time to relax, tune out the chaos and busyness of the world, light a candle, read a book, relax, bake a treat and spend extra time cuddling with my five sweet cats and two little dogs. I also relax in front of the fireplace with relaxing music and cozy scenes playing on the tv. My own wonderful fresh roasted coffee, fireplace, candles and soft music is how I start everyday, my tranquil moment before work. Even though I am not lucky enough to have a real fireplace, my Real Flame fireplaces create the same ambiance with real crackling flames...I need to make a habit of taking more moments throughout the day to find that peace again and renew and let go of the stress that comes everyday. Thanks again for the reminders. :)

Aw thanks so much Yani! The soup is super simple - my favourite kind of recipe 😅 Just peel and chop an onion, two cloves of garlic, two carrots, one potato, a parsnip, and add to pot with water. I also added a bay leaf, pepper, pinch of salt, thyme and a vegetable stock cube. Boil for 10 mins then let simmer for another 15 mins until all veg is soft. Remove the bay leaf and then using a hand blender (or add the slightly cooled mix to a blending machine) and blitz until thick and creamy. I also add a splash of milk at this stage, you can also add a spoonful of cream for extra richness. Serve and enjoy!🎄🥰✨💕

But I would like the comment that in my country, in addition to the Christmas tree, there is a custom if making a Nativity scene. It's a portal to Bethlehem, but with a recreation of the town, with its sheeps, goats, sepherds the three Wise Men, a river, etc. The children really enjoy placing the figures and placing moss and sawdust. A magical time to spend with family! A hug!!

I hope Charlie enjoyed his catuccino! Nothing compares to your videos! After I watched your video the first time I decided to make some vegetables soup too, but yours looked so delicious! Can I have the recipe please! What did you put on top of the soup? You’re an excellent cook! I hope you’re feeling better!

Aw thanks so much Yani! The soup is super simple - my favourite kind of recipe 😅 Just peel and chop an onion, two cloves of garlic, two carrots, one potato, a parsnip, and add to pot with water. I also added a bay leaf, pepper, pinch of salt, thyme and a vegetable stock cube. Boil for 10 mins then let simmer for another 15 mins until all veg is soft. Remove the bay leaf and then using a hand blender (or add the slightly cooled mix to a blending machine) and blitz until thick and creamy. I also add a splash of milk at this stage, you can also add a spoonful of cream for extra richness. Serve and enjoy!🎄🥰✨💕
