"In Sunday's video we'll encounter a wild stormy night in the farmhouse as storm Darragh pays us an unwelcome visit. As a result of his destructive visit, we will navigate a day without power, do some Christmas crafts, shopping, baking, and we'll decorate the tree together.

    Christmas Crinkle Cookies -
    Ingredients:
60g good quality sieved cocoa powder
    200g caster sugar
    50g icing sugar
    60ml extra virgin olive oil
    180g plain flour
    1 tsp baking powder
2 large eggs - room temperature
1 large orange - using the zest
    2 tsp mixed spice
    1 tsp cinnamon
    Step 1
Mix the cocoa, caster sugar and oil together. Add the eggs one at a time, whisking until fully combined.
    Step 2
Combine the flour, baking powder, orange zest, mixed spice, cinnamon and a pinch of salt in a separate bowl, then add to the cocoa mixture and mix until a soft dough forms.Cover, and place in the fridge to chill for 30 mins.
    Step 3
Heat the oven to 190C/170C fan/gas 5 and tip the icing sugar into a shallow dish. Roll heaped teaspoons of the dough into balls (about 20g each), then roll in the icing sugar to coat. Put the balls on one large or two medium baking trays lined with baking parchment, ensuring they’re evenly spaced apart. Bake for 10 minutes, then leave to cool on a rack and enjoy!
