WITH PLENTY OF RUST A COMPLETE RESTORATION WAS OUT OF THE QUESTION AND BUDGET FOR THIS TRUCK .
SO WE ARE DOING SOME LOW DOLLAR BODY REPAIRS AND CHEAP PAINT
PATINA STYLE , THATS RIGHT FAKE / FAUX PATINA THE DIY WAY.

As an American i see this truck as familiar but since the steering/brake booster-master cylinder is on the right side it just messes with me in the head but i love it its keeping me on my toes for sure great video aswell

Well done Mick, it’s turned out brilliantly. I have an old XT Ute kicking around here that I’m now seriously considering giving a similar treatment. It was painted by my wife’s grandfather with house paint about 30 years ago and looks terrible but is still reasonably solid.

I'm a 73' vintage and my mum had a mint one owner HQ with no accident history one day a plate of bog very similar to that size and thickness fell out the LHR 1/4 apparently 1970s factory body correction.
