How to make Apple Cider Vinegar at home | सेब का सिरका | ChefHarpalSingh & Dhanashree

  • Apple cider vinegar
    Serving - 4 pax
    Preparation time - 10 mins
    Cooking Time - 15 mins
    Ingredients quantity
    Apple 4 nos
    Sugar 6 tspn
    Water as required
    Apple cider vinegar 5 tspn
    Kambucha vinegar 1 tbsp
    Method :
    1. Wash and rinse apples and cut in to cube shape.
    2. Transfer the cube apples in to the 1 litre glass jar .
    3. Now add sugar , water in to the jar and press the mixture using wooden churner .
    4. Now add apple cider vinegar ,kambucha vinegar and press it again in same process .
    5. Press the mixture daily atleast for 7 days .
    6. Store it in a dark place at warm place for around 7-10 days .
    7. After 7-10 days of storage , strain the excess solid by pressing on them gently to extract extra
    liquid .
    8. Transfer the liquid into air tight container , it will be apperead in golden colour ,It will taste sour
    in taste .
    9. Its ready to serve .

    I made it, there was a thick malai like layer on top. After 15 days I sieved it. Don't know if that layer was a good indication of fermentation.

    I have started making first time apple vineger. It is 2 months and now maturing. 1st month I have let it fermented with apple in jar, 2nd month is now, I have transferred in next jar without pulp, and let it mature, I see mother is forming. 3rd month is going to start. I would like to know 3rd step? Should I transfer from jar to bottle(food quality platic bottle) to further mature. My question is should I completely tighten the bottle or leave gap. I live in Netherlands. Home temp. is roughly 20 deg. Kindly guide. Thank you.

      So that is a good enough time clean the top and then transfer to an airtight bottle and consume..

      one can use maple syrup or honey , it will take a bit longer while to react on acetic content .

      To my understanding during fermentation the bacteria will eat up all the sugars, so when the vinegar is ready for consumption then it will have zero sugar content.

      IT is like making yoghurt, when you make fresh yoghurt with milk you add some bit of old yoghurt as culture, so here we have added the same as culture... and you cannot add anything else.

    Hello sir, it's been 4 days since i made apple cider vinegar my question to you is what is the identification of good fermentation because my apple are floating on the top and they turned brownish, so are they rotting or fermenting how to know?

      yes it's turn brown and float on liquid so you have to regularly muddle and use as required 🙂

    Sir first of all thank you for your informative video . I gained such a curious knowledge from you by the medium of this video . Sir it would have been a great help for me if I could get your experienced suggestion on the content .Sir I tried this recipe with bit of sugar approx 1.5litre of water and approx 1 kg of apples ,fermenting for a month and yesterday when I filtered it by cotton cloth ,I could see the viniger was in white translucent color instead of yellowish ,whereas it was as same color as shown in the video before opening it ..sir can you please give me your valuable guidance. I have now stored it in same glass jar of another month to develop mother. What does your experience say about turning vinegar into white ? Sir please guide me if i could be corrected.Thank you.

    Why not mesh/crush the apples by churning in mixi....?
    Secondly, to hasten the fermentation can we add 1 tsf of yeast in apples...?

      No it will form a froth and secondly it i s slow proces sif you. rush then more surface area exposed will spoil the vinegar
