I made $386,491 last year in roofing sales and it was my first year. I also was awarded top national producer in the entire company (40 branches nation wide)
Wow Jourdan that means you made way over 10k in profits a month which instantly qualifies you for a cash advance of up too 500 k or more given in too you in 48 hours no credit check money you can use to expand , buy equipment , advertising or quite frankly what ever you want 🤣 if your interested please reply I can fund you in 48 hours dude
Yes sir!! Felt each home owner out, never backed down and was very good at reading and knowing what not to say and what to say. Not his first year. Probably his 4or5 year. Killing it 💯
Excellent video! Man . Positive I have experienced the same situations with clients, but I am sure that you are like me and many more contractors who knock on doors! we have many more positive responses from people who want our support! and more opportunities that is so! I'm sure you are the same! As you say, no one is obliged, but it weighs a bit on one, knowing what we do is so positive for a homeowner! do not stop believing continue
Thanks Thank you very much friend, inspiration. Today I go out knocking on doors, tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday . This week is my week 🙌🏻
I enjoyed your video. If I can just say that what has helped me a great deal is to get into any attic possible. This will allow you to be able to not only see the decking, but also see if you can tell if the soffit at the eaves is vented properly. If someone asks you to give them an estimate, give them one. give them options for ventilation, for skylights, etc... weather they go with you or not, at least you are going to give them more options than most. that shows experience. I miss storm chasing!
I closed 325,000 in volume last period. This is with same day closing. No insurance deals at all. Make a friend, pump your company, show product and close the deal. A- always B- be C- closing
“I need an estimate” why? It’s insurance that pays for everything now the home owner? In ga the way it works, is the adjuster comes out after I file the claim, they basically double check my inspection, then they email back with scope and price.
Pretty sure PAs and attorneys are the only ones legally allowed to negotiate with any insurance and in many states it’s absolutely illegal for a contractor who is not a PA to say anything about negotiating! Contractors are licensed and knowledgeable in the replacement! They can send codes supplements for items needed and not paid charge overhead and profit etc that has to do with completing the work But you can not speak on policy and you don’t negotiate unless your a PA or attorney you send a bill for your cost and wait for it to be accepted. I was under the assumption it’s like that in every state but Myb not! Illinois & Florida it absolutely is and insurances will come after you if you say anything about NEGOTIATING and your not licensed to do so know your laws and don’t just repeat what’s on RUclips
Thank you for the great video. Quick question, I will be starting sales job this coming March. Can I close jobs by merely using eagle view? I like to stay away from climbing the roofs. Thanks again for an incredible video.
nice video - can anybody name few roofing companies that follow storms and work many usa states .. any body can answer since many of RUclips msg get lost and not delivered
I don’t know about satellite imaging being more accurate than a person measuring. I deal with this everyday. Solar installs being designed by satellite imagery then you show up and put them on the house and they don’t fit
Question, with the last guy if you work on insurance proceeds why would you give him an estimate??? He is obviously trying to pocket money somehow. Thing is he can't due to depreciation check. Once the jobs done insurance wants your tax ID number to release the check along with receipts potentially. All your doing with estimates is loosing money for yourself and saving the insurance company money. Tell the insurance company to come out and do their job and write up the roof.
How much do you have to know about roofing ? I just applied to a roofing sales job never sold anything don’t know anything about roofs but I promise I could learn I’m a few days if needed.
One there are so many types of roofs, metal, flat roofs could be torch or tpo, woodshake, architectural, 3 tab, coating only, just some. I’ve been in this business for 5 years and I run all internal operations. You could learn the basics pretty quickly but to have the in depth knowledge it absolutely takes time and seeking all that knowledge for yourself! If you can sell you should be fine! But I’ve seen so many who choke after their first week in sales because they haven’t personalized a strategy that works specifically for them! They sound as if they have no knowledge and just repeat a pitch and you can tell the diffence! A company can only teach you so much so study human psychology sales psychology knowing how the human mind works is a great assist in any sales
It can years to learn how to do a roofing estimate wether it’s commercial or residential just so many moving parts not as easy as just plugging info into a PC and not spitting out a number
Hello, how are you? It looks like you are an excellent person. How can I connect with you to work with you? I have two roofing groups ready to work. I have several years of experience in shingles. I have my registered company and insurance
I been doing door 2 door roof sales for 6 months I been having rough time getting homeowners to said yes and I knock like 50-100 doors a day not all the time but like once a while and I never been in sales but I just want some tips of how be a better people person
@@NFLbts social media, leave flyers and business cards in mail box, referrals. door knocking just doesn't work. i've done it. in the long run its not worth it.
“Don’t door knock” lol you will never make it in this industry relying on social media leads. Biggest thing with door knocking is being personable, making homeowner smile and having a quick pitch. I’ve been in the industry for a little under 2 months now and am at around 200k in total sales…nothing crazy but it’s all from door knocking, another 150-200k ish lined up for spring time.(it’s snowing here)
The only thing I gotta say is you can’t just call another roofer a “wuss-ass” for declaring his own safety. Even if it’s an owner who’ll crack a beer with ya at the end of the work day. Never put yourself in a position like that, very distasteful to most people. Everything else was very cool though. Don’t mean to harp on that one thing, just caught me off guard when he said it.
My brother runs his own gig , awesome at what he does ( roofing ) He is trying to get me on board for sales . I dont know where to begin . I worked in entertainment selling small events / concerts but that's as far as it goes for my experience in sales . Does anybody know of any good resources that may help me on my foray into this industry ? ANY HELP or ADVICE is appreciated Wondering about legalities/ liabilities How we work together with insurance companies Quoting properly If anybody who reads this has any information I'll gladly let you talk me ear off 😅🤣
Just start knocking and talking to people who know more than you I just made 20k in one week because I went out every day for 5 hours and knocked doors
Good sales pitch but how do you sign someone up with out writing up an estimate and just saying you'll do it for what the insurance company pays for the claim. You're either screwing yourself out of money or you're screwing the customer out of money. Been doing this for 20 years and not once has the insurance company given a customer enough on the claim to cover the roof replacement on the first try. Always have had to send them a written estimate to get them to cover the difference. But the adjusters always bitch and say Washington is to expensive for roofs so I guess that could be why. Just don't understand the concept of not writing up an estimate for the job. Personally there's no way I'd let anyone do work for me even insurance paid work without a written proposal with a number.
Lol. Why didn't you say an appointment and come back with her and her husband home? Wouldn't that atleast be the best thing to do? Set an appointment. But her objection wasn't really her husband.
Well I’m black granted I’m light skinned YT america don’t won’t me walking up on them at random such is life for me I’ll pass my interview especially in the high end neighborhoods he’s going door to door in
First of all…getting a bid is stupid. Homeowners thing if the job cost 20k and they get a bid for 12k, they think they pocket 8k hahah. Sorry folks you screwed yourself out of 8k of material and work
Check stub or it’s all talk, dude is driving a mid trim level Ram and looks like he’s 12, not saying it’s not possible but I’m not buying it. Age builds confidence in clients and he doesn’t look old enough to have a beer let alone work on houses. Also, your Spanish is mid, so until you’re fluent, please stop leading with that, eventually you’ll find someone who is bilingual (like myself) and they’ll dismiss you as absurd and just pitching bullshit.
