- This video explores the abilities, powers, and origin of the Marvel Comics character "Scarlet Witch." From Wanda Maximoff growing up as an orphan in the Eastern European country of Transia with her twin brother Pietro Maximoff aka Quicksilver, developing her mutant ability to manipulate probability and predisposition towards magic to maximize her usage of Chaos Magic given to her by the god of chaos Chthon, Agatha Harkness helping Wanda hone her skills to become one of the most powerful magic users in the Marvel Universe, long-term romance with The Vision android, wavering between villainy and heroics due to supervillains like Magneto and Doctor Doom manipulating her often fractured mind, to being an integral part of The Avengers team as well as various major Marvel storylines; Let's take a look at this pivotal Marvel superhero, and one of the most powerful mortal magic users on Earth. This includes a short, canon character biography and my own opinionated "Sage Rating," which I use to give ratings of comic book and science fiction characters.

Scarlett Witch is dangerous too most characters. Vulcan, Nate Grey, Franklin Richards, Storm(full fledge), Mr M, Meggan Braddock and 1610 Cable would decimate her.

Her usage of chaos magic was brought up in DC vs Marvel. When the Avengers came to the DC universe, Wanda got a huge boost to her magic ability thanks to abundance of chaos magic there and was the main threat to the Justice League when fighting them. Quicksilver was pissed, crying like a child trying to fight nap time because the Flash kept smoking him every time they raced against each other.

Scarlet Witch is a beast and not to be played with or underestimated. I mean even in the movie adaptation of Avengers: Endgame she was beating down Thaos by herself and had he not called for back up it may have been a very different ending to the movie; lol. I ask am I the only one who liked Magneto being Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver's dad? As greatly expected and appreciated, fantastic narration, video and content my brother New Sage. Wow I like this alot, gave me an even more respect for this character and her power. I also found it interesting how now close Wandavision is to her back story and POWERS. I also found it interesting of the forgiveness of her genocide ways even though it was some what by her mental state. My only big problem with her is that costume, for God sake can they make her look a bit more cooler in fashion lol!

I "Wanda" when they'll make her Magneto's mutant daughter again? As a kid, I used to love how the X-Men & Avengers were connected thru Magneto's family. It'll "probably" happen in the MCU, if Wanda has anything to do w/ it (because we need a "House of M" adaptation). Hopefully the MCU introduces Magda as a "Witch Queen" (combining aspects of her & Natalia into a single character) whose magic helped her survive her apparent "death". She should be after Wanda's power & Magneto, Quicksilver, & Polaris should try to save her (along w/ the X-Men & Avengers of course).

The filmmakers of the MCU delibrately held her back against Thanos. Both films probably would've lasted 10 minutes combined had she been unleashed onto him much earlier, she is *that* powerful. I've always rated the Scarlet Witch in Marvel Comics for years, especially as an Avenger (my favrourite Marvel title from 19-longtime.) I have so many issues of that title since the 70s and I knew she's one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe. But very unstable.

She took on and beat the Phoenix 5, defeated Magneto, even one-time, beat the Avengers. Knock Thor off the battlefield with a blast of chaos magic. Scarlett Witch is definitely mad powerful (beyond omega level due to Chyton amp). *It's too bad Storm can't tap into magical potential, because if she did?* Scarlett Witch would be definitely outclass.....

What would happen if we saw the High Evolutionary create another Scarlet Witch who's origins is similar to the comic book Scarlet Witch in the MCU?
Then it will just appear as a ripoff or they might alter their character in the future like how they did with robin in batman all had different alliases later on. Nightwing, Redhood, Red Robin and Robin. All were robin and batman's sidekick but differ significantly later on
Retconned: Wanda and her brother are not mutants, and were experimented on by the High Evolutionary. They are more akinned to Inhumans.
Pietro was a human mutate, Wanda was actually a human mutant evolved by Chyton and The High Evolutionary himself.
I don't know, NS...8? She's "Sorceress Supreme", has chronokenesis* in her power set (*which I didn't even know what a thing!), has warped reality, and can team up with the Phoenix Force! This is one bad broad!!
