When the 4s version comes out I'll definitely be doing a comparison. I'm sure the 4s will weigh more, particularly when you put a 4s vs 2s battery in it but I don't think it'll ever be as heavy as a "real" 1/8 buggy
I Think they should have built this on the Sledge platform with an aluminium chassis. 4s/6s too. For an entry level plastic basher buggy with a top speed of 30 mph the price might scare some away.
@@Shellzwick With the amount of Traxxas batteries I already have, I am going to buy this for my daughter's first "real" RC. She had a Walmart car that lasted for 20 minutes. At least with this I can order parts for her. I may grab the Team Corally Syncro4 for myself to try out.
The shocks better be adjustable for the prices Traxxas charges 1 \8 scale why would anyone bother with 2s it would have to have 3 to 4s min to compare with what's out there nowadays
First time watching your channel. I really, really appreciate Not sugar coating things thanks . I think this thing Is supposed to be 399 in the u.s? In Typical traxxas form This car is ridiculously priced. Isn't this pretty much what people have been making for lk the last 10 yrs .... This is a back slash rt ?? Just lk the dirt car and drag car traxxas borrowed an idea that was created by the community.... Wow how exciting... and what a value....I can't wait
appreciate the comment. It's $350 and it's sort of a Backslash, it should have been called that in my opinion. For what it is, I think it's pretty interesting and while you're always going to pay a little bit more for Traxxas, they have the best warranty support in the industry
I don't know why they went with the jato that was two-wheel drive and doesn't really make me think of this. This is closer to a four-wheel drive. Bandit
I love it too, but I agree with you on the price. I have never owned an Arma Typhon but you get 3s for less money. Maybe the Traxxas plastic GTR shocks and HD components are better than the Typhon? My Rustler BL-2S hasn't broken any of it's HD components and I love it! Someone on another channel commented that the VXL is coming in Jan with a price tag of $529, that's Ultimate territory. But! I absolutely love this thing!
@@mikeh4924 This is basically a roller with a 2s system with a max speed of 30mph. It's TLR Typhon price if you think of the electronics this buggy needs
I personally think Traxxas typically has a higher quality product as far as design and plastic strength, and I hate working on the aarma products in that category but I do completely agree with you that this should have been a 3S in this price range. the BL-2S in here is kinda odd
This would be great for $199. That's allowing it roughly double the price of the 2s WL toys buggy it looks like. Sadly this is noticeably slower than the WL toys. There is nothing else to compare this to. Everyone else who makes a buggy this size puts appropriate sized electronics in them.
I don't know if I'd personally compare anything main stream to WL but I feel you're always paying a little more for traxxas for their extremely good warranty program
Only 2s, no battery, all plastic, LCG chassis looks mighty familiar. Arms from another product already released? Overall a big disappointment. This is gonna be a huge failure for them.
Traxxas is absolutely trash these days I only say that because it seems they have nothing to offer other than stuff that's way overpriced and need upgrade right outta the box for it to compete with any other companies in there class and it's sad they trash the jato name with this garbage
would be cool to see the weight diference but with the jato 4x4 using a 4s brushless system to compare

I agree with you, I've been saying since the Sledge came out they need to make a 1/8 buggy off that platform
Aw look it's a 4x4 Bandit this is just what I was looking for 25 years ago 😂 and this i literally a mid $200 rc car value at most
Hopefully those shocks can take a front impact
I think they'd do about as good as any other car, the overhang on the shock tower will definitely help from flip overs
@rcfixit9050 I might buy one I'm still on the fence LOL
Honestly the syncro is the best bang for your buck right now .
Do you think it is better than the ARRMA Typhon? I see people say the Arrma is faster, but some said the Syncro4 is more durable.
@thunderbomb515 If your talking about the typhon 3s idk cause I haven't driven one .

@thunderbomb515 yeah this will be fine for a child . For somebody with experience , this would be a hard pass

There was lil sugar coating. 🤦🏻
Nice !!

yeah, I'd agree with you on that
Love how it looks, just wish it was 4s and had a center diff. Price is also pretty steep.

Great video! Thanks for the break down it helps a lot.
Glad it was helpful!
This was great! Thank you for the information about the bandit 4x4.
yes that would have been a much more appropriate name
@ honestly anything except what they named it
New subscriber here! Nice video
appreciate it! Trying to get to that 500 subscriber mark! :)
Typhon 3s is kind of old now but it beats this new traxxas buggy in every department. 3s and is cheaper.

There's no point if it's not a 2-speed jato is two-speed
Don’t support Overpriced converted Slash 4x4 b💩. 👎🏼👎🏼
Just more retread and overpriced garbage from Traxxas.
You are at least half right
Yeah more junk from traxxas
Ah look y'all Traxxas over here taking a sh!t.Again 😡

The arms are very similar to the 3655 control arms but have a new location for a future sway bar kit
