My condolences to you and your family. Traxxas announced at trade shows earlier that there was a VXL version planned, and it's available for pre-order on their website now. But it's more than a 6S Typhon. It's more than a Losi 8ight nitro! What are they thinking?
Dually looks SICK! Glad you got them installed! Ill be making you a wide bed kit at some point in the future, so get ready! Always sad to lose friends, thinking about you and everyone who is feeling her loss.
My condolences to you Mark. May she rest in peace. As for the the TRX-6, I think the dually wheels make it look tougher and more capable as a hauler. I seem to remember seeing a kit for flared fenders to cover those tops of those wheel. Somewhere on the internet, sorry but I don't remember who made them.
Me and my friends want the Jato VXL to run on his track. We run the Slash 2wd, 4x4 and Rustler 2WD and Bandits on his track and have a blast with em. The Jato will be an awesome addition.
what i dont like about the jato is that its just a bl2 slash with a lcg and a couple different parts. i would of made it like the sledge with the metal chassis and like what every other 8th scale buggy has
In my opinion 8th scale should not be for beginners. Also this vehicle should have come (at the very least) 3s out the box. Also the conversion that you did is awesome. Now, the reason people think it’s so expensive has to do with the fact that it comes with that (good for practically nothing) 2s system in it ON AN 8TH SCALE BUGGY? That alone makes no sense at all. Now, do I think it looks good? Yes I do. It is a good looking buggy. Great video, love your channel even though the Traxxas CO must be like your brother or like some sort of family member or maybe you own Traxxas on the “downlow”. Just kidding, love your videos brother and seriously, my condolences to your loss. R.I.P Charina Tolentin. My heart goes out to her. 🌹🙏🏼😪
I love your videos Mark but they also often make me a bit sad as I get jealous of where you live 😀 Having model shops like that are just a fantasy in the UK, even if you were willing to drive for a few hours. We are mainly stuck with a few online retailers, and if you need spares, you could be waiting months (if you can get them at all). And your nice weather and big smooth carparks, with flood lighting? Again, near impossible to find in the UK, and most of our store car parks now have CCTV that monitors you, and will send you a fine in the post if you do anything other than go into and out of the shop attached to the car park.
I love my xmaxx e revo and slash but the problem with comparing the price to a bl2s slash is that the entire bl2s line is overpriced. That system sucks. It’s basically brushed power. If a typhon 3s is too much for a beginner run 2s at 50%…. It’s the night and day better option, which sucks, I wish traxxas would be more competitive instead of relying on pure brand loyalty.

You should drive the Arrma Typhon on 6S and you'll see why an 1/8th scale buggy needs atleast 4s to have power. 3s is blah when it comes to needing power for jumps and getting the hole shot out of turns. The Jato on 4s with its lighter weight should be good on 4s and maybe comparable to regular 8th scale Buggies on 6s maybe.

@MarkSantaMaria awesome! Would cool to see a track comparison with lap tips between the Jato VXL and your TLR TYPHON!
This isn't an 1/8 buggy, it's an old, outdated SCT that isn't even on par with contemporaries in that very limited space, with some bits tacked on to they and make it look like a 1/8 buggy. It's a hilarious joke.
@@RobertNES816Just look at Slash 4x4 lap times compared to the Typhon. My friend raced a TLR tuned his first season in 1/8 buggy, he did really well and the car stayed solid for a long season with not enough maintenance. They're actually a pretty race-able platform. The SlashBuggy "Jato"... I'd bet not so much.
I will now be buying one, seeing how mad it has made everyone.
Enjoy being slow to spite smarter people!
I assume you can run a 3s battery on the 4S version coming next year? So … sweet spot out of the box.
There will never be another HPI baja moment
It’s a huge disappointment for me. When I first heard about a new jato 4x4 I pictured a jato 3.3 😢
Looks good but a wider front tire is needed imo.
Love the dually hauler!
I like the hauler! Looks like one of them off-road car haulers. Like nobody else is even gonna attempt this so we gotta go do it.👍🏼🔥💪🏻. Haters means views.👍🏼😂
It looks awesome 😎 now I want one even more
Should have plugged rc box club and used the temp gauge to check the motor
I think the dually car hauler is awsome
TRX-6 😊. Just wished it wasn't called a JATO. I had the original one. I like the buggy, not the name.
they are all kind of silly names, what makes jato worse?
and trust me, I have done nothing but crap on this release.
@fishininjun Not meaning that JATO name is bad or worse. The buggy could have been called something else.
@@fishininjun Slash Buggy or Bandit 4x4 are significantly more appropriate names. Calling this a Jato, a 2wd nitro, is flat out absurd.
@@truerc I get it, thats legit
Sorry for you loss
Thanks for the tip. I believe I will save some cash from buying the 4s vxl this way!
Well I like it. Should have been called Bandit 4x4 but whatever. The reason I will go for this car over the Arrma or Corally is parts availability. Traxxas is everywhere and in stock. I can always find Arrma cars but shops never the parts I need. Always needs to be ordered in. Corally doesn’t exist I’m my local shops. Which is why I don’t have and Corally and likely won’t give them a shot. Also $350 for a Traxxas is not a bad price.
