Way I see it is that this is a good stock class for intro buggy racing with a LOT of headroom for starters who want to learn how to drive and get into the hobby. Not everyone is as knowledgeable as the old heads folks, and you scare away the newbies when you start being elitist.

Would be cool to see this come to a bunch of the models. At least the slash would be pretty easy for them to make…

Have you ever activated the sport mode to have reverse in the 4-tec drift? Does it behave better for drifting?

I'm SOLD... Traxxas it is! I hate how tiny the MST wheels are. Will the HPI BMW E30 body work on the Traxxas drift? I'm wondering if the Traxxas can accommodate an after-market magnet setup for other bodies.

I like this! As a non-pro / expert drift fan, I'd choose this Traxxas over the MST.

I wonder what it would take to put that body and clipess system on my Stampede 4x4 V2 VXL? 😂. I wish they had an option to go with no battery and charger for us that already have those two components from another model like me. I only break my Stampede (the latest one), when I land really badly or I hit a tree going full speed 😂

Great job on the review but why wouldn't they take a trx-4, fiddle with the geometry, brushless, metal axles etc and break into the solid axle Mtruck market? The losi has done exceptionally well. Then you'd kinda have a losi/Traxxas rivalry along with big foot/gravedigger. Missed opportunity.

Micro B for the win! The ferrets liked watching it! They disappeared when the mini z came out! That’s a shame that the mini z has to use triple a batteries, this ain’t the 90s anymore. If it had a lipo battery, I think it would have been a better contender.

Cheapo garbage.

My Micro-B receiver has stopped functioning after a couple months and can’t get a replacement. Nice price for the little car but now it is worth even less.

You need to put the supplied oil in the Mini-Z shocks, the car handles very well but the Micro B is a better car all around especially if you are good driver.

Embarrassing. You fanboys are insane. I own thousand dollar RCs, I'm not a "Walmart RC fan" like those dumb replies i seen above. $270 should buy much better RC, with slipper clutch, metal gears, actual 3s electronics. Yall pretend that because it's expensive its good. I own good expensive RCs and none of em cane from TraxxASS

Is it cool ? It seems lame and overpriced to me. Traxxas cut every possible corner. Paper gaskets in the diff. The diffs blow out on 3s. No slipper clutch. Hard compound tires. Weak slow (0.23s) servo with plastic gears. 29 MPH. I saw it break on 2 channels, 2 different drive train components. @Do RC and @Tomley (tomley video releases this weekend for non Patreons) It's embarrassing how basically Traxxas expects you to upgrade every single component except the chassis. If they sold a roller i might have been interested. I don't buy new expensive RCs just to throw most of the parts into the trash. Because you can't put that bl2s system into another RC and call it an upgrade. Bl2s was designed to replace their brushed motor, and it sure performs like a brushed motor. Embarrassing. Maxx is supposed to be a flagship. Now they made it a slow cripple.
