Mk5 Jetta gets a Mk6 header! (2.5 Volkswagen mk6 header upgrade/sound)

Hey everyone, it’s been a minute. These last few months I’ve been dealing with a lot of stuff with this car. Had to fully replace the front end because I hit a semi truck tire on the highway and then some guy backed into me. New core support, rad, fans, lights, bumper, fender, grilles etc etc. long story short, my car is getting back to its former glory.
Anyways, in this video I install a mk6 header on my mk5 2.5 jetta. The sound alone is worth the upgrade. It sounds very nice.

You need the stage 2 integrated engineering intake manifold. I just installed mine and it is a game changer for the 2.5

did the header come out the bottom or top

Did you have an exhaust leak at the header or at the makeshift downpipe you had clamped? I'm doing this upgrade soon and just want to be prepared for whatever can come up haha
also curious if you replaced anything else for this swap

From what I can tell it doesn’t leak where the downpipe meets the header flange. It’s pretty straight forward good luck!

Man I ordered the OBX headers to use with their test pipe. It hopefully will make their box catback sound better because as is it’s too quiet

Nice bro, I didn’t go with obx headers solely due to the fact they have been dyno proven to actually lose power and torque for the sacrifice of the better sound
