What's really amazing about this state of art show is that its almost 30 years old! It's still blowing people's minds!
I got to see them on this tour and I've seen a ton of great shows since then and nothing has topped it other than Roger Waters' The Wall tour. The technology of that tour is 2nd to none!
I'm blessed to have witnessed both and Pink Floyd will always be my number 1 band!

@@youraccount7003 yeah I got to see Waters on The Wall tour 3 times. Saw it once on the first time he toured it and twice when he came back.
The 3d projection imaging he used was just fucking incredible!
I've seen Waters on every tour since '99 and they all have been great shows. The Wall though was just on another level. I don't think I'll ever witness a show that will top it!
Can't wait to see Waters again in August!!!

From the very early Syd Barrett days of the '60s, Pink Floyd was renowned for their (albeit primitive) psychedelic light shows. Seems they're determined to maintain the tradition.

I saw this show at Earls Court London. I went the night after the stand collapsed when the show was abandoned. I had got the dates wrong in my diary and turned up with tickets for the previous night. The security guys said there would be an extra date for those with tickets for the abandoned show but said if I wanted to I could take his seat at the front as he would be standing anyway. I literally got the best seats at the front to witness the best show I have every been to. Phenomanal is the only way to describe Pink Floyd at their best.

Pink Floyd is timeless. I love watching reaction videos by black folks to music like this. I dated a black woman (I am white) for a couple years and she loved Roger Waters (originally with Pink Floyd) Amused to Death. In fact she wore out a cassette and I had to buy her another one. Her friends thought she had totally lost it. You know all the same old things. "Girl he is turning you white" and everything like that. Never once thinking maybe she liked it. She had her own mind. You are breaking down stereotypes. I can't imagine refusing to listen to some type of music because of color. Music is music. Either you like it or you don't.
I would highly recommend trying out Amused to Death by Roger Waters. The Bravery of Being Out of Range, Three Wishes the whole album is great. The thing about Pink Floyd is if you listen to an entire album from start to finish and let your mind flow it is just like watching them paint a portrait but with your ears.

This is by far one of the most epic concerts of all time, i know, i went to the Pulse tour concert in 94, the only band I ever wanted to see and it was everything i could of imagined and more. Having said that, i like to recommend, when possible, try to do the Radio and Studio versions as they were the versions most of us heard growing up and falling in love with the music, it keeps us all on a level, I find Live performances are for when you have decided that you love the band and want to go further down the hole only because the Live shows can be influenced by drugs, alcohol, worn out from Tour, and having played the song so many times they are starting to play with it, kinda makes it not the same song we fell in Love with on the radio or out of the stereo at that sweet summer BBQ party. Its just a thought. Love the reactions.

I've been a Pink Floyd fan since the early 80s. Its weird, I suppose, but when I hear this song, I think of somebody trying to light a campfire with flint and steel. And he fails several times, but he finally gets it to light. That's when the drums kick in, as he's adding sticks to the flame.

I have been a fan since their first recording, Arnold Lane, in early 1967. The last time I saw them live was 1970, just before the Atom Heart Mother album. They had a cult following of spaced-out hippies like myself. They were sometimes spectacular in those days and way ahead of the competition. This concert is a joy for me to watch and a joy to share with you. It is a wonderful blessing to see others find the same pure genius they have displayed since the 1960s. Thank you.

Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all time. Yes, I am biased. David Gilmour is my favorite guitarist ever. Nobody plays with more soul or emotion than him. He is an amazing talent. I was at the Pulse tour in '94, and the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour in '88. Both shows were spectacular. Words can't really give them justice. I appreciate you watching many of these live performances, but the way to REALLY listen to Floyd is by listening to their studio albums from beginning to end. Unlike most groups out there, Floyd's albums are mostly considered "concept" albums. Meaning all the songs are part of story or journey or whatever. A similar theme. A lot of people think Floyd is "weird" because their songs don't make sense. That's because most of their music isn't "stand alone". Songs flow into one another. Each song is telling a part of the story. Anyway, keep up the good work. It's always great seeing younger folks listening to this great band. They are unique in the sense that they cannot be copied. NOBODY else sounds like Pink Floyd!

FYI; Saw this 5 times. Mark Brinkman lighting director since the "WALL' concerts 1979. 200 ton stage, 53 semis to move it, 200,000 watts of power, 128 speakers, outdoor shows needed FAA clearance for lasers. One of five songs that the Floyd could play from " the wall" cause of the law suit from Roger Waters. Pulse was played 14 days in a row ( sold out) and it was their last concert. Reunion one time for "live aid" with Roger Waters. Watch any video from this concert is amazing. Brinkman also did all David Gilmours solo concerts. Not the big budget but if you want to hear Daves guitar work " live at Gdansk" " Live at Pompeii" Daves last concert, "Comfortably Numb" last time played you tube 125 views.

Back in O.C. Calif when I was 27 my wife heard a commercial on the radio about a P.F. show coming up. Knowing I am a Floyd fan she called the radio station (KMET - LA, “The Mighty Met”) to get information on the concert, The DJ on live radio Cynthia Fox…. said...."Congratulations, YOU are caller number 10, YOU just won tickets to the show and the Sound Check Party before the show"...
I met David Gilmour back stage. He gave us both a signed album that I have in my music room. We talked for 22 minutes. I called him…“The Master Of The Stratocaster” He smiled. I told him his music will stand the test of time with anything from Beethoven or Mozart. He smiled even bigger. I asked if I could shake both his hands that make such great guitar solos, he smiled bigger and said “Sure” and shook both hands at the same time, making a cross between us, I smiled HUGE. I asked him to describe his technique of playing guitar, he replied… “I strike a note, bend it, shake it and then release it”…. Yes, he does that quite well, better than any other guitarist I know. . I told him in my eyes he’s a “Legend“. He thanked me and said “Enjoy the show”…. during the concert after the song “Money” he looked right at me and said…. “On saxophone, another Legend, Mr. Scott Page” … acknowledging my comment to him. It is my favorite moment in over 300 shows I’ve seen.
All of us fortunate enough to have seen this show live were in a TRANCE.... MESMERIZED the entire show... as you can imagine. We walked out saying.... What did we just witness? That was out of this world incredible.

If you went to this concert, how could you ever go to another one? Nothing could live up to this.

I guarantee you pretty much every Pink Floyd concert had at least 3 out of every 4 attendees being on some type of 3-letter drug enjoying the concert.

Watch "one of these days " from this same concert pulse... see David Gilmour play a totally wild steel/seated guitar.

You asked, I would really enjoy some Steely Dan, Yes, some deep dive Kansas, Eric Clapton. Just some suggestions. Your reactions are wonderful to watch because you really truly dig it! It makes me happy to see you react the same way I did when I started going to concerts back in the day! Your joy is infectious ✌🤘

Man, I gotta tell ya. Pausing a video during an amazing solo is like stopping lovemaking to answer a phone call or a knock at the door.

I saw them at Earls Court, the night after they recorded this. I was 19 then and to this day it's the best concert i've ever been to.
