The show was recorded on one of the nights of a two week run at Earls Court, London (a venue that has been demolished for redevelopment) in 1994. I went to the first night which unfortunately was cancelled just as the performance was starting due to the collapse of temporary seating at the back of the auditorium. Thankfully no one was killed but several people were taken to hospital. Luckily, the band had scheduled a rest day in the two weeks so we were able to use it as a replacement. I can honestly say that it has been the best concert I have ever attended in over 45 years of going to gigs and that incudes The Wall tour in 1980. The bass player is Guy Pratt who has toured with Pink Floyd and David Gilmour for decades. He is actually the son-in-law of the late Richard Wright, the keyboard player and founding member of the band. I have a very limited special boxed edition of David Gilmour's solo album 'Rattle that Lock' and included is a DVD of the three of them jamming in a barn on David's estate.
The Bassist/singer is Guy Pratt. He basically filled Roger Waters position after he left and later played with Gilmour on his solo ventures like "On an Island" and "Rattle that Lock." I'd second the motion for "On the Turning Away" and, given the state of the world right now, I'd also recommend "A Great Day for Freedom".
I was there the night this was recorded. I have never ever seen a concert of the like since, it blew my mind, not only the music but also the lights. I can't put into words how this concert made me feel. Pink Floyd are a visual and aural orgasm of the soul and mind. It is so good to see you appreciate the music of Floyd, music that will and has been around for decades.
Me too.🤯 I was only 19 at the time and I think I kinda khew subconsciously straight away afterwards that i'd likely never see another gig quite that good ever again.
Totally agree. Nothing has or will ever come close to that incredible concert. Visually as well as musically. Every song seemed to get better and better until the end just blew me away. I am so so happy I was there to see it.
The other singer is bassist Guy Pratt, who has played with many, many A-list bands in addition to Pink Floyd, and was once married to Richard Wright’s daughter.
Saw this tour in Raleigh, 4th row. Tickets were 64 bucks. The outdoor shows had a lot more fireworks at the end. Best show I have ever seen and Ive seen a lot.
The young guy is bassist Guy Pratt, a major studio player (if you’ve heard Michael Jackson’s “Earth Song”, you’ve definitely heard his thunderous and harmonically inventive sound).
I am glad you and Alivia have discovered "my" music (I am 67). Floyd was, is and will be way ahead of all other musicians and groups. Keep rocking you younger ones!
A little bit of trivia here... here's part of the original lyrics: 'Cause if they catch you in the back seat Trying to pick her locks They're gonna send you back to *_mother_* In a cardboard box During this tour when Guy Pratt sang "They're gonna send you back to *_mother_* in a cardboard box", instead of "mother" he used the name of the city or location where they were performing. In this show it was "They're gonna send you back to *_London_* in a cardboard box".
It’s official now Silas, you’ve passed the audition. You a true “Floyd” fan. Welcome to the club. 🍾🎉🎊✊🤘😎 Will show you the secret hand gestures at the next meeting!😉 Regards
During the Soldier Field show in Chicago they're all wearing dark glasses during this song. Should have been a hint to the audience as the lights were BLINDING. And the fireworks shot high into the night sky over the stadium like the 4th of July, lighting up the whole lakefront in the process. Now THAT'S an encore!! 😎 🎇
Actually we showed up late and hopped the fence you know the North end of the field and we're sitting up there like three little mouses you know and the road manager screamed at us and since security up to get us in we were begging them not throw us out it was so crowded we told the guy that there's no place to sit and it dude took pity on us and he brought us down open up the door under the stage and put his front row center amazing concert I met people from Australia I met some dude from Tennessee who had four-way window pane not the crap you know not the stuff that was all speedy but this was had inducing window pain probably the best concert I've ever seen
Folks sitting in the front row for a Pink Floyd concert were missing out. The show is just too big for that. Missing out on a lot of effects. Centerfield or mezzanine section best.
Ya the fireworks were the same in Toronto the show was at Ex Stadium on Lake Ontario. They have since torn it down. Never another show like that, no where here to hold one.
Yeah there's so many of us who would of done anything to have been at that concert !! Truly, every song is just incredible...I feel this is Pink Floyd at it's absolute apex. Please, feel free to listen to anything from Pulse, you will not be disappointed
It's funny. I seen this very show when it came to my city July 1st 1994 in Canada. I asked every close friend I had to go and everyone declined. I knew it would be one of the biggest concerts I'd attend in my life with 50,000 fans. I wound up going with a work acquaintance and his girlfriend. 30 years later and it's still one of the most memorable shows I've seen. 1 month later the Rolling Stones came and played in my stadium. Good music but the show was almost a let down after seeing P.U.L.S.E lol
First saw Floyd in the early 70s, and at various times through the following decades culminating at Earls Court London in 1994. I agree this was the best of the lot, though all of them were quite magical.
I was at the Three Rivers Stadium show of this tour. Because it was an open air show and there were concerns that their light show could "possibly" disrupt air traffic, a lot of their laser show was dropped from the concert. But there still was one helluva light show left over! On top of that, Pink Floyd had one of the greatest, if not THE greatest, sound systems in existence. They had HUGE speakers all around the stadium: they were hanging from the balcony levels, they were on top of upper deck roof, they were sitting in strategic spots around the field. They even had a massive set of colossal speakers suspended over the Stadium. AND they were all perfectly tuned to deliver a solid WALL of soul-moving, crystalline surround sound! The music would literally massage you and soak into your bones. You not only heard and saw a Pink Floyd concert; you FELT it!
The bass player is Guy Pratt, son-in-law of the keyboard player Rick Wright. Pratt took over from original Pink Floyd bassist and creative leader Roger Waters in 1985. He's about 15-20 years younger than the other three main band members.

The other singer is Guy Pratt, British musician, singer and actor, son in law of keyboardist Rick Wright . He has played bass with Floyd since the departure of Roger Waters
Yep me too Kevin, very cool. Had friends surprise me in 94, with front row center tickets. New Orleans Superdome. Had to turn around during Comfortably Numb to see the disco ball drop. The concert video is so well done, we get to relive the experience whenever we want, which is also very cool. 🤘😎
Yes, $32.50 to see them in the Silverdome in Detroit. Still have the ticket. We were just to the right of the big disco ball. The played Dark Side straight through after the intermission. Afterwards, David said it was the first time they played it straight through since 1975. Best $32.50 I ever spent!
Closest thing to Pink Floyd you would get is Brit Floyd or Australian Pink Floyd Show. They used to be the same band but they splitted. They've been covering Pink FLoyd for nearly 30 years. They Tour frequently all around the world. Worth the ticket for sure.
The other vocalist in this performance was the bass player, Guy Pratt. He toured with PF for a number of years and later with David Gilmour as a solo performer with his band.
Saw This Tour in summer 1994 at the then Foxborough stadium. Seats were 20yds from the stage. was the most incredible concert out of the 3 times I was lucky enough to have seen Pink Floyd!
This is one of my favorite performances from Pulse; it's just completely overwhelming musically and visually. Others have mentioned that the bassist is Guy Pratt, who took Roger Waters' place as bassist/background vocals in the mid-80s. He has worked with a ton of artists, including Madonna and Michael Jackson. He is also quite funny; he wrote a book about his experiences in the music business called 'My Bass and Other Animals' and followed it up with a comedy tour. The comedy sketches are available to watch here on RUclips; I enjoyed them. He also has his own RUclips channel where he plays his most famous bass riffs. He has continued to perform with David Gilmour on David's solo tours, and currently performs with Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason's band 'Nick Mason's Saucerful of Secrets.'
This was the encore/finale of the tour, wow - the music / GIlmore's intro / mix / lighting / pyrotechnics was off the chart, even by today's standards!
I was there. I was blown away. I know will never see anything like that again. Even more than some previous Floyd i got to see however brilliant. I feel honoured to have experienced it. I would pay ten times the amount i paid to see that again. If only.....
Hey Silas, in case you didn’t hear from anyone else, the concerts that made up the PULSE shows (which were part of their Division Bell tour) were also the last time the band ever played live together, with the exception of their short reunion in 2005 at Live 8. That was the last time they officially performed live and also the only time they performed with Roger Waters after 1983, so you should definitely check out the Live 8 video as well!
I was two thirds of the back in the Earls Court that night , and when those charges went off vertically on the stage , i could feel the heat on my face .
To answer your question, i reckon you were born around 03 or 04? You likely can still see them LIVE. Roger the (original) Bassist and other Singer split from the band, before momentary lapse. Roger continued to do Pink Floyd Shows under his own name 'ROGER WATERS'. As of about 5yrs ago (pre covid) he was still doing World tours. Ive seen ROGER do the live shows 'Dark Side of the Moon'. And 'Wish you were here'. And 'The Wall'. And 'Animals'. They are spectacular! And if you ever get a chance to see Roger Waters shows i highly recommend it. "The Wall" Live Concert by Roger Waters, was hands down the most incredible show ive ever seen in my life!! ..and ive seen ALOT of great gigs. Go while they are still young enough to perform. As for Pink Floyd, that is no more, but DAVID GILMOUR, The guitarist and singer you see here at Pulse, continues to pop his head up here and there on the rarest occassions. He still continues to make great albums, with his great guitar work. I highly recommend you listen to his album 'On an Island', Silas. Its fantastic. Enjoying your great reactions as ever. Keep going, theres more in their catalogue... under the names of David Gilmour. Or Roger Waters. As well as Pink Floyd. There is also some PF Tribute bands floating around. Some of these are really good. A band from Australia called 'Beyond The Darkside' was doing overseas tours a while back. They are fantastic live and even have their own lazer lights. Its on a much smaller scale, but definately worth seeing.
"They're gonna send you back to London in a cardboard box!" Apparently he changed the word 'Mother' to the name of whatever city they were playing on that Pulse tour, hence London for the Earls Court gigs. I was there and it was absolutely bloody brilliant.
I bought the CD in 1995 when it was released. It has a lil red dot on the side of the case run by batteries that goes on and off like a "Pulse". It still sits on my living room shelf and flashes away - almost 30 years later (batteries get changed when the light stops)
I saw them in Tampa, FL 1994, pulse. 3rd row, front and center. Way back then they did an outside the shop lottery. I lived in Jax, FL. Abt 40 people in line to see who goes 1st, 2nd, etc. This cute abt 5-6 yr old girl picked my brother’s number first. We were in the confines of Turtles (record store) at 9:55am. The ticket man was on the scene at 9:55am. By, 10am, 4 tickets, 3rd row, front and center. I love the music. I like all music. But, Floyd with the lights and so different. Just a great lifetime experience. Love the show. Try different too. Load out and stay is a 9:25min beauty. And the show, was stellar, fantastic!!!
The Vanderbilt show is one of my favorite bootlegs from that tour! The sound quality isn't the greatest but the music itself was one of the tour highlights imo.
Saw them in 1990 at Cleveland stadium. Paid 100$ each for two tickets. Took my girlfriend and it was AWESOME!!! Would pay ANYTHING to do it again. ( miss you Micki)...
BTW, the last time Pink Floyd played together was in 2005 in London at that big benefit concert. Even Roger Waters played with them, although they were only allowed 20 minutes and only played four songs, and short versions of two of them (Money and Comfortably Numb). Keep making videos, my man...I love to see that Pink Floyd is still grabbing the attention of kids today, just like when I was a kid. I first heard PF right after Dark Side of the Moon was released in 1973, when I was 12 years old. Loved them instantly, although not as much as I would after hearing their albums a few times each. Link to 2005 Live 8 Pink Floyd show: ruclips.net/video/2K7TU1Hh_3U/видео.html
It's good to see a young man such as yourselfe enjoy some of the music of my day...pink floyd where phenomenal....to think this was done in 1994 I doupt if you will see a concert or a band quite like thise one ever again..I still miss pink floyd after all these years...
The band was named after their 2 favorite blues artists, PINK Anderson and FLOYD Council. I've been a fan for 45 years ever since I discovered Floyd, along with Led Zeppelin and smokin' weed all at the same time.
I just saw Roger Waters' This Is Not A Drill concert here in SF, 23 September 2022. What a show! This song and more, and another unique stage set and light show. Just amazing. Peace.
Second that. We saw Roger Waters in Albany NY 7/20/22. Started the 2nd set with In The Flesh?, then Run Like Hell. Superb! It's a shame really they weren't able to reunite. My favorite band.
The bass player is Guy Pratt. In addition to being a great bass player and having a great singing voice, he is also keyboardist Richard Wright's son in law.
It is really good that you have this level of interest. There are some very good tribute bands out there which at least you can experience live, I know people say well its not the original, however you never will hear the original for many artists. Also its important not to give up hope on new music, there is still a lot of talent and interesting stuff being made but you have to search for it. For example one of my other interests is Japanese rock and metal music (though i sometimes have to consult my translation sheet which its not in english, its the music which is just as important).
Guys father was a famous actor, he was in UK TVs show called Randall and hopkirk ( deceased) about two cop's that are detectives, but one is a ghost. Guy is also a comedian too.
I think you should now listen to the next album, "The Division Bell". I love your reactions, I'm 63 years old and I love seeing you take so much pleasure in discovering this mythical group that has marked me since the age of 13.
Same here, I remember rocking out to Money being played over the car radio. No idea who they were. At 15, my brother bought Animals and a set of head phones. I’ve been hooked since then.
Bassist Guy Pratt is the younger singer. His is such a great and spirited performance along with David Gilmour! See him running hard at the very end! 🙂
The Australian pink floyd show has the original lighting rig ,gifted to them by pink Floyd they are still touring live .of course it’s the last song it’s a message to the Kabbalah.
Another awesome reaction bro 👌... Next up should be "On The Turning Away" from A Delicate Sound of Thunder concert...from memory it was about 6yrs before this Pulse concert. Must watch song bro 💯💯%🔥🔥🔥another Awesome solo on this one too. 🤘💖✌💝
Blessed to have went to 6 nights in a row with this concerts. They played different sets too. Good to see you have found them in the way we all did at the start.
The Bass player and singer is Guy Pratt who stood in for Waters after he left. He ended up marrying Richard Wright's daughter. A perfect fit for the later Floyd.
I have the original The Wall double cassettes, the original The Wall double CD and the original Pulse double CD pack and therefore, I've seen and listened to this song a trillion times but THIS is the first time I actually see someone reacting to every beat of the song. Love some of the faces. Haha Greatings from a Floyd fan from Uruguay.
There are some spectacular performances at this 1994 Pulse Concert, (at Earls Court in London). Besides "Comfortably Numb" and "Sorrow", songs like "Money", "High Hopes", "Learning to Fly", "Time", and the final 3 songs of "Dark Side of the Moon" album, are phenomenal! I'm pretty sure that "Comfortably Numb" is technically the final song at this concert, this song, "Run Like Hell" is actually the encore of the nights' performance, if I'm not mistaken. The band Pink Floyd, here in 1994, is only 3 members,... David Gilmour, (guitar, lead vocals), Rick Wright, (keyboards, synth), and Nick Mason, (drums, percussion). The other 6 musicians onstage here are Pink Floyds touring band, for that year, or that period of time. They are NOT members of Pink Floyd, technically. The 3 old guys you see here are Pink Floyd. LOL. Keep in mind that in 1994 Pink Floyd had been together already as a band for 30 years! (1964 - 1994). You will see the first 3 people listed in the credits at the end, are the Pink Floyd members in 94. The 3 of them had been together as Pink Floyd virtually from their founding to this video in 1994. Roger Waters, a founding member of PF, quit the band in 1988, and from then on to this day, Guy Pratt has been playing bass for the band. The young guy on bass singing with Gilmour is Guy Pratt, and he's the closest thing to being a member of Pink Floyd, because he has been playing bass for them since 1989 to today! Syd Barrett must be mentioned, he was one of the original 4 Pink Floyd members in 1964. But because of severe drug and mental health issues forced him to leave the band by the end of 1967. His good friend David Gilmour took over for him full time in 1968, to today.
The band was formed in 1965, Roger quit the band in '85 and Guy has been with them since 1987 but i'm splitting hairs here just so Silas doesn't get confused by conflicting dates. Beyond that, great comment!
I saw them 5 times on this tour. And yes, it was even more amazing in person. Very few concerts can top Comfortably Numb followed by Run Like Hell to end the show. The only concert that came close was Nightwish ending with Ghost Love Score followed by The Greatest Show on Earth.
You unfortunately wont get to see them live. There are two great concert films. This one "PULSE" from 1994 and 'The Delicate Sound Of Thunder"from 1988. As great as they are they will never fully capture the sight, sound, feel and excitement of their live show. I got to see both of those tours. I do love the fact that a young guy like you is listening to this great music from my era.
There was no warm up band prior to Pink Floyd taking the stage, they came on right away and played for over 3 hours of solid music: each song mind blowing, a total experience at this concert.
A neighbor called the police because people next door were playing Pink Floyd loud, and the police arrested the neighbor, Great Job 👍 learning to fly please
on the CD album on this song you can hear Gilmour counting 1,2,3,4 on the start

The Bassist/singer is Guy Pratt. He basically filled Roger Waters position after he left and later played with Gilmour on his solo ventures like "On an Island" and "Rattle that Lock."

They still are married but they weren’t at the time of this concert, they married in 1996 and as you know this concert was 1994.

That was the last time they officially performed live and also the only time they performed with Roger Waters after 1983, so you should definitely check out the Live 8 video as well!
I was two thirds of the back in the Earls Court that night , and when those charges went off vertically on the stage , i could feel the heat on my face .
That’s Tim Renwick. He has been touring with Pink Floyd supporting their concerts since 1987
He is the supporting musician
This light show is one of a kind. I wish i could be there. Must be epic to see this live.
"They're gonna send you back to London in a cardboard box!" Apparently he changed the word 'Mother' to the name of whatever city they were playing on that Pulse tour, hence London for the Earls Court gigs. I was there and it was absolutely bloody brilliant.
Powerful is a great word to describe this show Silas, I was so lucky to see this live... 😎
I did see this show with my future wife in the spring of 1994 at Vanderbilt Stadium in Nashville; we had 10th row ground seats and it was AWESOME!
The Vanderbilt show is one of my favorite bootlegs from that tour! The sound quality isn't the greatest but the music itself was one of the tour highlights imo.
Just from your facial expressions we can see you not only heard this you felt it in the depth of your soul !!!! Brilliant reaction 😀
Love watching peeps first reactions to this show...imaginae being there ...I was lucky enough to see them at the PONTIAC Silverdome 💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

It's good to see a young man such as yourselfe enjoy some of the music of my day...pink floyd where phenomenal....to think this was done in 1994 I doupt if you will see a concert or a band quite like thise one ever again..I still miss pink floyd after all these years...
That was the last song of the gig .... I remember walking to the tube station afterwards with this ringing in my ears.
This was the third encore and closing number of the concert and a tremendous ending to a brilliant evening.
Hands down the greatest stage show I've ever seen
from this concert: ONE OF THESE DAYS, and KEEP TALKING
Yes Keep Talking.
'Keep Talking' is outstanding. I'd love to see Silas' reactions when it comes to Gilmour operating the voicebox near the end of that number.
React to One of These Days live pulse. Please.
In addition to being a great bass player and having
a great singing voice, he is also keyboardist Richard Wright's son in law.
The light show during this show is off the charts!!
i was at that concert sat just to the left of the mixing deck area , every thoom shook the very soul of you , a great night !
I was there with my late wife 20th October 1994 great memories 😊
Boston is my favorite band but Pink Floyd is my favorite concert.
From the same 1994 Pulse Concert, check out “Learning To Fly.”
Such a Perfect Bad--Ass performance from the masters of rock! I so wish I could have attended one of their concerts.
GOOD TO SEE KIDS ENJOYING REAL MUSIC. I GREW UP WITH THIS ART.
Great reaction, as always. You need to react to ‘Another Brick in the wall’ from Pulse next. It’s epic, especially the guitar solo.
да согласен бро
I think you should now listen to the next album, "The Division Bell". I love your reactions, I'm 63 years old and I love seeing you take so much pleasure in discovering this mythical group that has marked me since the age of 13.
The Endless River is just outtakes and odds and sods.
@@79BlackRose however it's worth listening to.
Especially " Anisina" and "Louder than words" .
Agreed! The Endless River is definitely worth listening to and deserves far better than to be categorized as a collection of outtakes.
@@ianfortier6796 Admittedly, they are better outtakes than those on The Final Cut.
This is their last song on the concert, you have to start with Shine on you crazy diamond
He has already done that.
I saw PF in Toronto in 2006. Was epic.
This is post Roger Waters.
This live track is in the Guinness book of records ...
Can ya guess why ?
The audience knows what is coming. Buckle up young man!
Blessed to have went to 6 nights in a row with this concerts. They played different sets too. Good to see you have found them in the way we all did at the start.
Silas I would have a look at learning to fly and Another Brick in the wall at Pulse both great tunes and the light show is amazing on both tunes
I saw them on the '94 tour...great show
If you get the chance to see a Pink Floyd tribute band do it. Brit Floyd is a good one. Check out some of their videos when you get a chance.
The Bass player and singer is Guy Pratt who stood in for Waters after he left. He ended up marrying Richard Wright's daughter. A perfect fit for the later Floyd.
my spine tickles / ty 4 post Silas 🕶
I have the original The Wall double cassettes, the original The Wall double CD and the original Pulse double CD pack and therefore, I've seen and listened to this song a trillion times but THIS is the first time I actually see someone reacting to every beat of the song.
Love some of the faces. Haha
Greatings from a Floyd fan from Uruguay.
Guy Pratt is his name.
This is LIVE AT EARLS COURT, LONDON.
PULSE is the name of the dvd/cd.
You've been PINKED BY FLOYD 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
“High Hopes “ live. The steel guitar will melt your insides.
Guy Pratt on bass and vocals. Dave Gilmour guitar and vocals.
Guy Pratt, the bass player was seeing Rick Wright's (keyboards) daughter, Gala Wright. The got married in 1996.
Last song of the concert! Go out with a bang!
Echoes live at pompeii is amazing as well , you will love it
i paid 48 dollars in Philly in 94 to see this tour. best concert ever.
Th young guy is Guy Pratt, he actually married Richard Wright's daughter. He still plays with Nick Mason in A Saucer Full of Secrets.
Wembley Stadium 1989. Unforgettable (shame about the mullets that have since disappeared, by this time). Guy Pratt as second vocalist and bassist.
I was there, and it was the closest I've ever come to having a religious experience.🌞🌞Outstanding show, outstanding memories.
David Gilmore's the older guy
Guy Pratt is also married to Richard Wright's (Keyboards) daughter. Truly part of the 'Floyd Family!
Guy Pratt on bass/vocals, he's married to keybordist/vocalist/songwriter Richard Wright's daughter Gala. R I P Richard Wright
A neighbor called the police because people next door were playing Pink Floyd loud, and the police arrested the neighbor, Great Job 👍 learning to fly please
Effects Guy: "So what's the budget?"
Floyd: "Yes."
