Yea i think this is from 1986, it really marked Aerosmith's comeback if you will....they broke up for a time for various reasons and got back together in '85 and were trying to clean up their act and get back on the charts as a group....this song and Run DMC's collabs definitely got them back on the map
Hey stranger! Good one to come back on. This colab was done in 86, Aerosmith had a top ten hit with the original in 75. They were a massive success in the 70s but then pretty much disappeared. This helped them get back on the map and also gave Run DMC its biggest top 40 pop hit. Wish rock and rap groups did more colabs cause this was pure 🔥. And hey you better bring back random music Monday. That was awesome.
The original with Aerosmith was released in '75, but the cover with Run DMC was from 1986.
I knew it. No way RUN DMC were big at the same time as Led Zeppelin.
This collaboration was absolutely ground breaking at the time. So good!!

Welcome Silas good to see you. This collab brought Aerosmith back to life.
Aerosmith was never dead.
Welcome back 🤘
I was a bartender when this came out and it absolutely broke the barriers. I had more arguments saying you cannot deny how cool this collaboration is
Check out Public Enemy and Anthrax version of Bring the Noise, rap/ metal collaboration.
Good to see you again! Yes, check out the Aerosmith original from 1975 if you haven't already!

Had there been many collaborations between black and white artists in US rock before this?
