This is a huge part of why David is done doing Floyd music in my opinion. Rick was so brilliant in such a great song he is not replaceable. Of course there are other issues but I think Gilmour misses him so much he can't take the stage as Pink Floyd without him.

Lighting guys: okay, so in comfortably numb we've got all the usual stuff with the lasers and the vari-lights, plus we move the entire central rig from upright at the back to horizontal over David's head, and then we hit the huge mirror ball with the searchlights, then open up the ball to more mirrors.
Floyd: Great. But then we need a big finish.

🙋🏿‍♀️ Meadowlands in Jersey for me. Same night Prince tickets went on sale at MSG. So after I arrived at Port Authority, I walked over to the Garden and crashed until they went on sale in the morning. Didn't get floor seats 😏 but wasn't in nosebleed either. 🤔 If I didn't go see PF, I would have had Prince floor seats in the front. 😚🐰

In the first years Floyd created lighting effects because Gilmour commented that "who wants to come to a show only to see some guys playing instruments on a stage?" His words: they hid behind ever-growing effects and giving a show. Fast forward to this incredible experience. I'm 73 and lived through the musical evolution of the times. I would do anything in the day --- and I mean ANYTHING! -- to get money for tickets to a concert. Music was sustenance. This concert, in the early days of computers, was an engineering marvel to pull off. To experience Floyd was to experience a life change. I love all those bands of "the day", but Floyd simply wore the crown. I feel optimistic when watching you react to this, and other 'old school' videos, and feel a tinge of what my first time hearing/seeing was like. Good for you, POPE. Enjoy the expanding ride! And thanks! 😀❤🤘

It is awesome to see your enjoyment of great music and great musicians! I just watched your reaction to Comfortably Numb. Yes, great guitar solo, one of the greatest songs, however, one of the most amazing and best guitarist (RIP) Stevie Ray Vaughn, has an amazing video and the most amazing guitar playing I have ever seen. "Texas Flood" at the El Macombo Very different from Pink Floyd, but mind blowing guitar playing. Keep delving deeper in to the 60's and 70's rock. Some of the best music, especially Led Zeppelin, The Rolling Stones, David Bowie, Yes, all of the British invasion artists. I look forward to seeing your reactions.

This was the last encore after Comfortably Numb. Here is curious thought. This concert was in 1994 and it is one of the most viewed concerts on youtube. The performances are as powerful today as they were in the actual concert. There isnt a band today or in the past that is as powerful in concert as Floyd. Floyd concerts altered lives and is altering them in 2021. You should react to Learning to Fly next.

I'm lucky, and old enough, to have seen this show in Montreal. I've seen many concerts in my life but have never experienced a live song as powerful as Run Like Hell. I think the 62K people who were there were in a state of shock. And this was after they played Dark Side of The Moon from beginning to end in one shot. They are unmatched as live musicians.

You should and have to watch the movie by pink floyd .... '' The Wall " some of these songs will take on a whole new meaning. The movie is more of a musical with their album The Wall as the musical score. Ill let you decide what the movie is about. It has a very deep and powerful meaning behind it wich is close to the harts of the band. Its a must

I was just sharing with my wife earlier tonight how much I enjoy watching reaction videos and seeing how music impacts them in many of the same ways It does me. I have watched a couple of your other videos last night and saw this one in my feed tonight as we were chatting.
I was introduced in 1990 to Pink Floyd by an uncle when I was 12. My appreciation for how music speaks to me as I've put a couple miles on in my life is more than I can put to words. The understanding of lyrics as a pre-teen compared to now have also evolved with time. The solos are now the highlight that put additional lyrics to the song with how it relates to your life. The guitar really speaks to my emotions with pretty much any Gilmour solo.
Hopefully you will listen to the original albums as well. There's some real magic in the originals with what Roger Waters brought to it all with the history of the band Pink Floyd and post Waters exit.
Thanks for what you do, It's surely meaningful to many in different ways.
    Recommendations, and some of my favorites;
    David Gilmour:
    Echoes - Live in Gdańsk
Comfortably Numb - Live in South America 2016 / Live in Gdańsk & Pompeii... (Gilmour always plays a different version of the 2nd solo. Any Live performance of Comfortably Numb is worth a watch).. IMO
High Hopes - Live in Pompeii
Faces of Stone - Live in Pompeii
    Pink Floyd:
    Time - Studio Album
Shine On Tou Crazy - Studio Album
    Welcome to the Machine
    Pigs
    Dogs
Mother - Studio and live versions
    The Gunners Dream
Marooned - Studio & live versions

I think you were more than sweating brother!!! Don't worry we've all had those deep emotional moments when listening to Pink Floyd. It can't be helped. Gilmore doesn't try to jam as many notes into a second as some lead guitarists do, he tells a story with the instrument and takes his time with it. Especially in Comfortably Numb. The greatest guitar solo of all time.

The crazy lights represent an event in Nazi Germany known as Kristallnacht - or 'The night of the broken glass' When thugs from the Nazi party attacked and destroyed the homes, properties and businesses of anyone they saw as enemies. mostly Jews but also, teachers, trade unionists, homosexuals, gypsies. whilst the police and other authorities looked on and in a lot of instances, aided the thugs.
In the film 'The Wall' Pink has become completely disenchanted and has emerged as a leader in a fascist movement. Hence the title 'Run like Hell'
