even today there is no show more impressive than this one.
R.I.P. magnificent Rick Wright
Don't forget a big shout out to the drummer Nick Mason, and the percussionist Gary Wallis....A M A Z I N G!!!!!
I think that’s the biggest smile I’ve ever seen on David Gilmore’s face! And let’s give a big shout out to Guy Pratt on bass...and his great vocals with Gilmore too.
Yes!!!
Absolutely!
Gilmour
The way guy pratt slaps that bass in Another brick in the wall at pulse concert was epic.
The way Pratt “pounces & marches across the stage” during sorrow is just pure….. I don’t have the word to finish the thought & I’m not sure anyone can describe it but Guy Pratt himself 🤷♂️🙏
Think about this, they performed "Comfortably Numb" right before this. I left this concert on the purest natual highest high from this concert that lasted for at least a week. This was the most awesome concert I have ever been to.
you lucky lucky bastard :)
Wish You Were Here, Comfortably Numb, and Run Like Hell, back to back to back. Pink Floyd not only had the best concerts, they were masters at how to finish a concert. The greatest band ever
Jeezus! I'm so jealous! Like, how did you even LIVE through that? LOL My adrenaline would have run so high you'd have to peel me off the ceiling!
I'm 49 saw em at the PONTIAC SILVERDOME 94 ...had the blimp outside....bag o f goodies ...what a show 💯🔥👍
Yeah, that was awesome. I was totally wiped out after they played Comfortably Numb and then they came up with that. That light show is burned right into my brain.
"If they catch you in the back seat trying to pick her locks they're gonna send you back to mother in a cardboard box!"
Always loved that line 😁
You better run
@@terryhall7697 Like hell!
I was there. The musical performance and lighting show will never be matched. Don’t even bother to try
Every video from the Pulse album is amazing. Best live album that I’ve seen.
Roger Waters The Wall is better.
@@nicoladc89 taste is subjective. For me Pulse is the best live performance although I do like Roger Waters. One of may fav videos is Roger Waters live from Mexico City when he does ‘Charade’, love it.
@@nicoladc89 lmao…..no it’s not especially if you’re talking about the “Berlin” show, it lost money & performers did NOT get paid, “Roger waters The Wall” was a huge failure my friend & a loss to anyone who was involved & that’s a fact my friend not speculation, you can check it yourself, most fans left the show early including David Gilmour…. He was there 😑
@@jakehunt3392 Roger Waters The Wall is the 2010-2013 tour, one of the top 10 highest grossing tours ever.
@@nicoladc89 yes I was there, not better than pulse though…. Also you talk revenue 30 years later, the pulse concert with inflation “grossed” more & housed ALOT more fans & yes “Roger Waters:The Wall” it was a pretty good “show” but Rogers band lacked big time in the delivery of “Pink Floyd” music , it was so mixed up & just wrong in most spots that he didn’t release a “Live Concert” show😑 if it was “so great”, where’s the media 🤷♂️….. Rogers “In the Flesh Tour” was way better than his wall tour, Eric Clapton played with him 😏
If you were at this concert, how could you ever go to another one? Nothing could beat this!
I was there… we took flasks of a mushroom brew. nothing since has come within a million miles of this experience .
I was at this concert at Earls Court in London and nothing, NOTHING has ever come close to matching it. Just magical. This was the third and last song in the encore and I was standing there, tears of happiness running down my face but also of sadness because I knew I’d never see them perform a full live concert again - end of an era, end of one of the most important books of my life. I wish you two guys had been there too.
I got to two of the shows, I also saw them in 1988 in Manchester at Man City's ground Maine Road, probably the best live shows I have seen over about 45 years
I saw them at Earls court the same week, and nothing I've seen since can even compare.
Hugh, I was there too, same reaction, tears of joy, never been so emotional👍👍
I saw this show at Werchter belgium! Mind blowing never anything beter 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Would pulse sway your pinky mind or Pompeii or royal Albert hall
Every song at this Pulse Concert is worth reacting to...every song...I have to say, watching the Pompei performance of this song is very worth watching !!
"I think we're gonna get sweaty" Probably one of my favorite PF listening anticipatory comments I've ever heard.
The stage is an eyeball,,,,,😲👍😎
You guys really need to watch the entire Pulse concert start to finish now. And then David Gilmour Live At Gdansk
They tore down “The Wall” at that one. ....brilliant stagecraft and lightning ♥️superb performance!♥️😎
Awesome performance! !. That's how you end a show! Everyday that you're David Gilmour, is a good day!😊😊
Your ears ring for hours after a concert.....cannot hear the person next to you after you leave an arena of 14-20 thousand people or more........Great song and reaction!👍❤️😎☮️
I was 15 years old when I saw Pink Floyd on this tour in New York. Nothing has come close to what they put on. I'll never forget that show.
This tour played to 5.5 million people in 68 cities; each concert gathered an average 45,000 audience. Three stages leapfrogged around North America and Europe, each 180 feet (55 m) long and featuring a 130-foot (40 m) arch resembling the Hollywood Bowl venue. All in all, the tour required 700 tons of steel carried by 53 articulated trucks, a crew of 161 people and an initial investment of US $ 4 million plus US $ 25 million of running costs just to stage.
WORTH EVERY PENNY ❤
IT COSTS MORE THAN THAT TO RIG A US ELECTION THESE DAYS ❤
I've seen this live show...and...yes, still the best concert I'v ever seen in my life! Incredible sound, incredible light show...only Floyd!
I was at the show on the night after this recording, this was an incredible closing to an incredible show. We were about one third the distance down the hall from the stage and even there the heat from those big fireworks going off was amazing, goodness knows what it was like in the front rows!
One of my biggest regrets is not seeing PF. I can’t image being at a show on this tour, must have been amazing. That percussion guy jumping up and down on different songs from this tour is having so much fun, he’s so pumped. Lucky you.
I was up in Cleveland on their tour of this- and I was only 15 years old, won't ever forget it. It was the most awesome concert I EVER went to.
And remember, this song came after THAT Comfortably Numb performance!
The ticket to this concert was one of the best investments of my life. The memory will still be there when every other reserve of money has long been spent
Intense to watch on video, it was insane to be there, to witness Gilmour jam....I will never forget
I saw them on this tour in 1994 in Raleigh, North Carolina. I was there with my husband and my son, who had just turned 8 (and was and still is a huge Pink Floyd fan). I was also 5 months pregnant with my third (and youngest) child. It was a magical concert for a lot of reasons!
'What just happened' was probably the BEST band you've ever heard and seen...that is all. "You better run..."
I have been dying to see your reaction to this one, and you didnt dissapoint!!!!
I'm SO lucky to have seen Pink Floyd twice,,,,both were stadium concerts. Words can NOT describe how AWESOME they were. Just,,,,,FANTASTIC !!!!! 🔥🔥🔥👍😎
One of my all-time faves, this live version of Run Like Hell. It's A M A Z I N G !!!!!!!!!
This is one band I regret not being able to see live! I've been blessed to able to see soo many concerts in the 70's and 80's but not Pink Floyd. Still I have alot of empathy for the young generation now not being able to experience music live!GREAT REACTION, love u guys!♥️👍
I saw them in 94, Vanderbilt Stadium TN, it has to be the most expensive light show ever done, and/or the best. They opened with "Astronomy Domine" and ended with "On the Turning Away".
At the end of this show at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, on my way to the parking lot, I passed behind the stadium and there were four trailers equipped with huge industrial generators. I spoke with a member of the staff, who told me that these generators were needed to provide enough electricity for the show, that the stadium could not meet this huge demand.
@@thepragmatic6383 Damn, never considered that.
I went to the Division Bell concert in Detroit (Pontiac) in 1994. The greatest show ever.
Big respect to the lighting designer, as they don’t often get much credit.
I saw them in Miami and got the tickets hours before the show. Hands down the best show I have ever seen!
I saw them on this tour. Unforgettable! An all time fave!
I love this song and downloaded it ages ago. Watch the Pulse video often on RUclips because it's just so good. Massive congratulations to the guys responsible for the lighting/special effects - mindblowing! Pink Floyd, one of the best bands in the world ever, ending one of the best concerts ever with a fantastic rock song culminating in finishing the concert with a huge explosion - can't get better than that! Thanks so much for reacting to this guys, we've been asking for this song and it's so good you've done it. Also love your reaction, too, most enjoyable, all the best.
Buckle your seat belts guys, your in for quite a ride!!!!
I was looking forward to your reaction to this banger. You did not disappoint. THANKS DUDES!!!
I saw them twice, first time for the original Dark Side of the Moon tour and then on the Momentary Lapse of Reason tour. They were two of the most overwhelmingly visual productions I've ever seen.
Carry On!!
Imagine a emoção de presenciar isso ao vivo.... é surreal!!! Adoro Pink Floyd 👏❤️
The whole Puls concert is epic.
David Gilmour also did a concert in the Royal Albert hall. Also very recommended.
Gentelmen,
Thank you for sharing this. I was 22 in 1994 when this tour came to my town, Montreal Canada, and I slept outdoors for a night in line to get my ticket. So worth it!
Even if you do not do a reaction to it, take a look at Echoes live in Gdansk. Last performance with Richard Right who passed away shortly after. Gilmour said he could never play the song again without him. Amazing and wonderful.
the album "The Wall" tells the story of Pink. Pink is completely freaked out and out of his mind. Therefore, sounds try to demonstrate this sensation. pink is a kind of ego altar from Waters. your anxieties, fears.
I bought this vinyl record in the early 1980s and I think I "wasted" it with the needle from listening to it so much
an excellent song, sometimes forgotten. Next one:Coming back to life-Pulse😉 Thank yoy guys
I saw them on this tour it was amazing we still talk about how amazing this concert was , never will I see Another concert like this ever .
PINK FLOYD has been super famous for their live shows since the 60’s. It’s why I went. Blown away!
All I can say is WOW!!! Fantastic reactions guys ☺️
Imagine, standing through two hours of absolute magic, then this. Imagine what your emotions would be doing
Well done guys I've waited so long for you to do this
Best reaction you really enjoyed it
PF - The best live concerts! One Slip Live DSOT - Great bass and drums!
Next please: Another Brick in the Wall Pulse Version
I love Tim Renwick's solo
Was at this one at the LA Coliseum. Top 5 for sure
I have heard since it first came out, believe me, every time I hear it, is the same....it makes me feel like You guys do hearing for first time, it will Never leave you...You part of the club now...and you have so much more to explore...
Best concert in the history of concerts. Hard to argue against that.
Oh my, Pink Floyd let’s go! ❤️🎼🤘😎
I was watching this reaction yet another time, I think you should do whole concert as a patreon reaction! This would be a helluva ride!
It was great to see & hear live!💥🎶💥
Glad you both enjoyed it so much 🤗🤘🏼
“Keep Talking” from this concert next?
Didn’t see that one in your list.
Agreed again.
This Gilmour fellow is simply a freaking GENIUS
Feeling so blessed that I got to see that show in 1994 at the Montreal Olympic stadium... You just had to be there... Still remembering every minutes of it and smiling...
My employer (Labatt Breweries of Canada) was the sponsor for the three shows in Montreal, they were offering employees discounted tickets, in addition to a draw of a few dozen tickets I bought mine for May 23 and I won those (a pair) for May 24.
Such an amazing concert. Great fucking song. Awesome reaction as always❤❤❤❤❤❤
Astronomy Domine 👍 same concert, saw this show twice……it was an indescribable experience 😎
The whole pulse concert is that Bros next up coming back to life.... were u bro’s born yet🤔
React to "Keep Talking", too PULSE. Greeting from Argentina!
Agreed.
Seen them at the Rosemont Horizon in Chicago on my golden Birthday in the 22nd row 22nd seat!!!! Got ticket framed! BEST FKN CONCERT EVER!! They had a giant Pig with giant balls flying over the crowd like a blimp! They had a bed fly over on Compfortly Number + Crash in the back + exploded 2! What an experience.....what an HONOR!!!!!
I saw that concert in Montreal, I was 50 feet from the stage and on dugs, amazing !!!
I don’t want to say that was nothing but they have a whole bunch of other stuff they bring on for the show. It’s truly mind blowing live. You walk out of one of those concerts and you can feel, see and hear the buzz of energy coming out of everyone there. Super hyped, happy vibe. It’s like the happiest mob you’ve ever seen! Ha ha!✌️
Best concert I’ve ever seen.
me too
"They exploded the stage" lol. Loved the reaction guys.
Don't know if have thought about doing any genesis reactions. Worth a deep dive into there early work.
Hey guys, Supper's Ready.
If I could pick any live concert of the past to go to, it would be this one. PULSE!! ❤️🎶❤️🇺🇸🥰❤️🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶xo!!
Only Pink Floyd can turn fireworks into a musical instrument.
What a way to end a concert. 👏
I was at the May 1994 concert in Foxborough Massachusetts USA which was this same concert but outdoors. The single best event of my entire life!
Guys ,you two are fast becoming legends.fabulous and respectful reactions 🤗👍👍👍💎💎💎🇬🇧
Sadly PULSE was filmed indoors. I saw PULSE 2 times open air. Believe me. The fireworks and exploding Mr Screen was even more impressive live. Best concert I ever seen.
Yeah this is the best version ever of this song! Awesome 👏
1994 Tampa. 3rd row, front and center. Great concert! Best ever!!
I loved it so much, I ended up going four times! ❤😊
Big finale of one of the best concerts ever.
I watch the entire “Pulse” concert at least once each month ♥️🎸💕🎶♥️🎤♥️
David Gilmour is a god& he’s standing there in jeans& T-shirt , pure gold, pure genius ❤❤
I'm Italian and I was lucky enough to see the concert live in Venice in 1989, an unforgettable experience. Run like hell" has always closed PF concerts. Ciao from Italy.
That was the Delicate Sound of Thunder Tour, and the Pulse was even more insane experience. I saw them both 89 in Vienna and 94 in Tampa PF 4 EVER
This concert will never never be beaten
Your enthusiasm is so contagious, dudes : i've known this song for ages and, watching your reaction today, I feel I'm rediscovering it 👏👍🤘
Took my wife to the 93 El Paso, TX concert. It was her 1st concert.
You know you are good when you go out there in jeans and a t-shirt, no crazy hair or makeup or neon jumpsuit
I love to watch my Georgian brothers react on music videos, but my favorites are Pink Floyd reactions. I was lucky enough to see the Pulse tour in the different states on the west coast. Best concerts I ever saw in my 64 years.
I love watching your reaction
The best live group......EVER !!!!!!!
Everyone: You can't blow the stage up.
Pink Floyd: HMG
G = Gear?
@@helenespaulding7562 Guitar 😃
@@SirDrunkalot1 oh....thought you were talking about the whole band....so...But yeah...Gilmore...hold my guitar for sure! What a genius he is...
Now I wish I'd seen them live, too.
I absolutely adore how much you guys enjoy and get into songs from this concert! ❤️
love your channel...keep it goin' always great to check back to see what you guys have done.
Told ya so. Best finale ever, Comfortably Numb, followed up by Run Like Hell. It can't be beaten.
30 yers ago i was there, every time i hear the musik i am back on the arena
They were pioneers in the visual part of concerts and of course They are one of the best bands ever, musically they were almost perfect and in my opinion with Dire Straits and a few others They created the most brilliant songs ever.
Thanks guys
Hello from New Zealand. I remember the first time I heard 'Dark Side of the Moon' at age 15. Now I'm 65. It is so cool seeing the next generation discovering the musical genius that was around in my day. Enjoy
ELP live is crazy to Emerson use golden daggers playing Organ throwing it around and jumping over it. It's cool. The drummer drums turn in circle
I was there, it was the most amazing thing I ever witnessed
dudes that was so fun! I have put this off for a while, till I was in the mood and the right situation :)
thank you
Pretty sure the genesis of this song (from a guitar point of view) was "Short and Sweet" off Dave`s first solo record (1978) a year before the Wall. Same flanged inverted chords in D.
