The Pulse Tour (saw them 5 times) was easily the best overall concert experience I have ever been to. I have been to over 150 concerts (almost all of them for major artists or bands) and Floyd's sound quality and light show are completely unmatched. One of my friends once commented at the end of the first half of a concert (they break for intermission) that he felt we seriously underpaid for our tickets and thought we should give them more money. And it was only halfway through the show! And as cool as that stage looks on video, it is nothing compared to being in the 15th row center where you are dwarfed by the stage, the lights and lasers all all going above your head and behind you, and you can feel the heat from the explosions, and when they hit a bass note so low and loud that you can't actually exhale until the note has subsided.

This is an incredibly difficult track to perform live.......the sound, the lights, the production, the stage direction, the film crew, the performance......everything is just mind blowing.......when a band performs and sounds better live than in the studio, you know that you have hit on genius

@@kevinroot8938 For me it is the best Guitarplayer in the World, no one can play a cable guitar so emotionelly like David Gilmour! Pink Floyd have create many Songs that by Masterpieces, but for me "echoes" was the Song that is on Top off all. The lyrics and the composion are absolutely unmachted. It is the highest Piece of Art in Musikbuisness and History. When People listen to it in 100 Years, the will blown away, it is timeless. This Musik is from another World and tear out your Soul and penetrate it and but it back to your Body. I´m a Pink Floyd fan for decates and "echoes" is the Crown Jewel of the entire Music History. Absolutely exceptional.... No other Band can compare with Pink Floyd, they are the Gods of Musik, no one can withdraw you from reality , and get you in the mood to receive the feelings/emotions that their Songs express!

I was at one those Earls Court shows and the last half of that song was completely over the top, it almost felt like too much at times. You could feel the heat and force from those explosions half way down the arena, I think at the end a lot of people where genuinely a bit stunned to be honest. Comfortably Numb always gets reviewed on RUclips but actually it was this song, played just before the interval, that made you realise that you were seeing something really special.

They had over 300 speaker cabinets and surround sound. The circle of lights in the middle is moveable and can tilt forward almost to horizontal. I saw them in 1994, Yankee Stadium. The acoustics of the stadium made the show The Best Ever!

This brought back memories of my first time hearing Pink Floyd. It was at a "party house" that I had NO BUSINESS being at, especially after midnight on a weekday! "Being there" was a life changing decision in sooo many ways! I was never the same in any way. Thank you my dear friend,
    John Martin! RIP. ❤🕊🙏

Yeah guys, your comment on the size of the stage...
I was fortunate enough to see them on this tour, at a baseball stadium in San Diego (Jack Murphy Stadium).
So when I get into the stadium and see the stage setup, I'm thinking "Oh, this place isn't as big as I thought, the stage takes up most of the width"...
Then when the people walked out on stage, they were like ants!
I said "Holy Crap, that stage is HUGE!"
As amazing as the stage, was the Sound! I could not believe how good it was.
They actually engineered the sound system for each venue on the tour. There were speakers around the entire stadium, so it was Surround Sound!
They installed baffles in certain places, based on the venue, so that the sound from the various speakers wouldn't interfere with each other.
I have never heard sound at a live concert that comes anywhere close to it... you could hear every nuance of Gilmour's guitar, and everything else.
One thing to pay attention to as you watch the various songs on video, just because it's interesting, is the number of Props that they use.
Every song has a different set of props (spinning lights that rise from the stage floor, pyrotechnics, etc.... and the crazy Pigs in this song!)... along with the amazing lights and video that are used on all of the songs.
Notice how each one of the colored "stage" lights on the framework not only change to many colors, but they actually spin all the way around the framework, which creates patters on the large backdrop (bowl), as well as the circular video screen. That sort of thing was unheard of at that time (1994). They did so much cutting-edge stuff for this tour!
    OK, ENJOY!!

We weren't chilled - we were stunned! The Floyd just pinned you to your seats from the first notes of SOYCD to the last note of Run Like Hell. And, no, I've never been the same - I think Gilmour changed me on a cellular level!

I just can't say enough how much I love your reactions to some of the greatest music written and produced of all time. And this one - from the Floyd's Pulse concert (their best live, IMO) - is such a good version of the song. Keep up the fun work!

There used to be a Pink Floyd laser light show in San Francisco. Kids would get so stoned and lie down in the Planetarium and watch the entire concert. It is one of the single best times of my youth!

Thank you for coming back to Pulse and watching this song so soon after doing "Sorrow". I knew, the two of you would LOVE LOVE LOVE this Masterpiece. I have noticed people talking about hardcore drugs and other intoxicants as the reason for the crowd being so chill. This concert series was performed when ¾ of Floyd fans were in their 30's or older. I will repeat a comment I read on a different reviewers page in his review if Sorrow; We went to these concerts EXPECTING a spectacle and the great bands dully obliged the fans wishes. I know that the concerts I go to I find that chilling to the music and letting every note, every beat to flow into and around, enveloping, every cell and molecule in my body to be THE WAY to truly live the show. Even Metallica, the most I think I did was nodding my head, no thrashing it all around.
I just love your responses to great music, you make this old man smile... Great job guys...

These guys are simply the Mozart/ Beethoven of our time! I've seen them four times and I've said this before in other comments. I saw them in 74 for their Dark Side of the Moon tour where they played "set the controls for the heart of the sun" "raving and drooling" which became "Sheep" and of course all of Dark Side of the Moon and it was beyond Sublime! I saw them in 77 for their "in the flesh" tour where they played all of "Animals" all of "wish you were here" and half of dark side of the moon for their encore. In 87 for the momentary lapse of Reason tour and this 94 pulse tour. I'm somewhat broken-hearted they didn't film their 1977 tour because in its own way it was comprable to the pulse tour.
Also you know somebody is a great band when they have 2 tribute bands 1- "Australian Pink Floyd" and two -"Brit Floyd". And those two bands sell out coliseums and stadiums! Also they put on a somewhat comprable show. The only letdown is it's not David Gilmour up there but they still give you the Pink Floyd experience.

I didn't see this concert but I saw this tour.
Pink Floyd is in the Guineas Book of records
There Dark Side Of The Moon Album was in the top 200 for over 700 weeks.
    That's over 22 year's
This reacord will never be broken not even close.
There in a whole different ballpark than anyone then now, or the future.
Love your reaction both of have just witnessed the greatest band of all times

I'd seen Pink Floyd a few times before this 1994 concert. When this concert tour came to the San Francisco Bay Area at the Oakland Coliseum I waited in line for 3 days to get tickets. I got tickets for all 3 nights. On the 3rd night a low cloud cover was blowing in over the stadium and the laser lights would light up the clouds making for a whole new light show experience. Definitely one of the best concerts I've ever seen. I'm 73, and I may be old but I've seen all the cool bands... I have the DVD of this concert and it's something you should see in full.

Wow, this is one of my most favourite Pink Floyd pieces of music - I downloaded the studio version a long time ago. Oh my God, this was phenomenal - yes, George I think it would be very difficult to recover from this particular concert and you certainly would never forget it. I absolutely loved Comfortably Numb when I watched your reaction to that song - that flower or whatever it was opening up at the end was just magic. The music is so amazing - to be honest I'm running out of adjectives, what else can you say? They should give a medal or something to the guy or guys who did the lighting etc - it added so much to this show. But Pink Floyd themselves, they never disappoint and this is just another example of their fantastic skills - they did an superb job with One of These Days. Wow, wow and wow again - I kept saying this all the way through! Talk about a performance blowing your mind!! Many thanks for this guys. Just love it, I really want to watch and listen to this again and again!
