I feel like out of characters who have been overworked, the only one that had it handled properly was Sucrose (mentioned in her Story 4), and that was only after Albedo got her to take a mandatory vacation, which Sucrose described as 'torture' given that after she regained her energy she had nothing to do lol. I really like this different approach but plz mihoyo, let these poor people rest, they're gonna end up collapsing D:

Our next nation will be Sumeru with its well known academia! One overworked female? Nah, take a whole load of passionate, mentally drained students! >:D

I literally don’t know why jean doesn’t have an assistant 😭

Jean works herself a lot because of her (ridiculous) high expectations as Grand Master, and wants to live up to the legacy of the Lionking. Which made me angry at Varka, while I didn't understand this man's skills focus more on battle, he should have been more aware of the duties as both knight and leader.

After becoming a father, I learned how bad you can feel from sleep deprivation. I understand our three travel companions

It was really sad when could retainer said Ganyu felt lonely in Liyue, so it hit me so hard that we just made her go back and completely gloss over that statement

    *SPOILERS*
For Jean's case, upon first arriving in Mondstadt and talking to many of the Knights of Favonius (KOF) NPCs I was under the impression that they were all simply less competent than the playable KOF characters for combat situations (like Amber, Kaeya, Sucrose, Albedo and Jean herself etc.). There are also NPC knights who say something to the effect of wanting to be stationed somewhere more exciting than guarding a gate or dozing off under a tree while keeping watch IIRC.
While I suppose patrols and keeping watch at gates and such is an important duty no matter how boring it is, I did also get the impression that Jean doesn't know how to delegate tasks and would rather take them all on herself because she so desperately wants to live up to the expectations of those before her who held the Dandelion Knight mantle as shown in her story quest.
As we've seen, Kaeya is completely willing and able to delegate tasks to the other knights around in her quest itself and many others so the point about her being unable to call knights away from their posts to help her is moot. One wonders why Kaeya doesn't just tell Jean to delegate tasks to the other knights like he does. Alternatively, he and the other knights may have already told her to do this repeatedly already only for her to brush them off. I'm just speculating at this point but she really truly comes off as the kind of person to do that.
As for a topic to branch off from this video's, why not make a video about how Diluc and Kaeya essentially have the same personality and goals? But one of them chooses to work outside the law and the other within it and the psychological grievances that led them to that deviation? No obligations. I just thought it was a cool thing for someone to talk about in depth. Great video series btw. It's so underrated!
Sidenote: For the part where Kaeya mentions that he has more important things to do and so many things to _prepare_ in Jean's quest, I suppose his part in helping Jean this time was in _preparing_ for the party. The specifics of what he did aren't exactly known but I presume he convinced Diluc to book the entirety of Angel's Share for the party and give everyone free flow of drinks. He then delegates all of Jean's tasks to some other knights like Jean should have done in the first place. Like in most of his quests, he does things behind the scenes while appearing to push his work onto others.

Thats exactly what I was thinking I was like Excuse me but let me tell you something!!! Its not YOUR fault its the PEOPLE like I question it myself like they cant take a break because people literally expect so much that they re expected to do it. Like people requested Jean to LITERALLY find a single cat like no one else can!???

When you do one of the quests for the current Lantern Rite, Keqing is the one featured with burn out.
    ||SPOILER ALERT|| Toward the end of the quest Paimon and Traveller come up with a story about a chef. It sounds good when you hear it first... then, you realize that just described her as 'arrogant' and 'selfish.' However, the Milileth guard was the one reassuring her that 'they've got this' and to trust them to take care of things. ||END SPOILER||
However, their subordinates (Milileth, Knighs of Fav and the Watatsumi guys - especially Gorou) are very willing and capable to share the burden. But these ladies ... just refuse. Could it be because of the expectations society and they themselves put upon them? Or the shame factor that deep inside they feel like failures and need to feel 'worthy?' I really hope that this is something that Miyoyo is bringing into light subtly to address in the future.
But I do agree that change has to come from the top of the corporation...not from the tier below the 'secretary.' Or if the higher ups are being butts...then at least, be aware that there may be others willing to help if you let them.

This is a good part. They are also at fault for not accepting help, but part of me wonders if that's because they assume that it's their responsibility, which is still the fault of the system itself.
Interesting insight... I'll have to think about this a little more :)

Thanks for the videos! Can you perhaps consider take the volume of background music down a little bit? In a part with Ganyu theme when the beat was going up I had a hard time hearing your voice. Good luck with future videos!
