Perhaps one of the best "this is how you use this product" videos I've ever seen haha
instablaster
I've owned a cuff for years and never knew about the magnet or the lock. It's always nice to have a product that I already like surprise me and make me like it more.
I had that same moment yesterday when I discovered there's a theft-deterrent locking feature on their capture clip system.
Love the Mentos analogy and the wink confirmed my decision to buy one
Bought it for the high-quality cuff, stayed for the extras. I didn't realize it had so many cool features until I read the embedded instructions in the box. This video explains everything perfectly and now I know how to fully utilize my product. Thanks!
Been using this Cuff for 2 years now and it saved me from dropping my camera into water and many other times, especially in nature when hiking, climbing and such. Thanks so much guys, Peak Design seriously has the best designs for everything :D Amazing job and keep it up!
I literally clapped alone in my room to the sheer brilliance of this design, I'm sold
I have this strap - have had it for like two years. Watched this video and learned two features! In a wrist strap! You all are seriously geniuses.
Even the details have details
Every time I see one of your tutorial videos I admire your product design skill even more.
I absolutely love Cuff! Paired with the Capture Clip is the best way to quickly start shooting.
And 🤯! You can move the magnet?! I’ve had it for two years and never knew that.
Maybe they updated the box, I just bought one, and on mine there are instructions and it shows how to position the magnet - great feature indeed!
I was just debating this combo for an upcoming trip. I'm really sick of the neck strap system and want to start using the Capture Clip, but I also want a way to securely hold my mirrorless when I take it off... this looks like a good option for sure.
That threw me off when I got mind, too. I thought I'd have to send it back because it didn't fit my tiny wrist. Took me about a week to realize.
i literally just found that out now. ive had it for two years also.
not many people can pull of a review video with no background music playing ... you sir knocked this right out of the park XD! well done XD!
Just bought the cuff, the slide and the slide lite plus some extra anchors. Now I'm set!
I have three Peak Design straps, the standard Slide for my Nikon Z6/Z7ii, a Leash for OMD 10 and I recently added a replacement cuff, I lost the original one. I have the side and leash for years now and used them on multiple bodies and are still as good as new. Keep making quality well designed gear. Its great to know what the magnet is for......
Thanks for this great tips video. I was somtimes frustrated by the close cinch of the cuff when I wanted security when taking a photo, but I was only shooting sporadically and taking the camera in and out of my messenger bag. I was looking at buying another strap. So much better when I can set it to remain open. Thank you.
Love this product so much! I've actually found it through a review, where somebody said they were totally unsatisfied with a cheap clip version in a similar style. I kept thinking that I want something different than a simple clip and this person wrote "I replaced everything with Peak Design products". I would've never found this without that review :D I am really surprised how well this works, although the bracelet setup is a bit too bulky for me as a woman with tiny wrists, especially on a mountain, I think I would prefer to have some kind of "click onto backpack" option instead... But other than that: this product is perfect!
Why can't you simply loop an extra anchor onto your backpack and use that to clip the strap when not in use? I believe they all come with an extra anchor anyways, which isn't really getting use otherwise.
Cause I can just put it in my pocket...? Huh? I don't get the question. I just said it's an option I don't use cause I'm female = small wrists, doesn't fit me well. I just don't use that option for anything, but it also doesn't really bother me.
Holy smoke, I just learned how to move the magnet to wrap around my wrist neatly. Awesome!
one of the best designed products!
Very clear description.
Funny thing is, I never knew PD Existed until a few months ago. I bought the anchor kit where as you can use your Existing camera strap, because the Slide and the Least camera strap just didn't work for me on my Sony A6000 mirrorless. The loop would always get in the way in portrait mod. My OEM strap just works better. Yes, the Cuff is AWESOME!!! I have the Ash in Leather. I really dig the ASH colored products they make. Plus I enjoy getting away from the boring black items that flood the market... I use it daily. I can use my camera in any mod, and have the Security that if I loose grip, I'm covered. I CAN"T wait to see what new products PD come out with next.
wow..the magnet trick completely blew my mind. I didn't know that the placement is adjustable. Been wearing it wrong all this while. A bit late from you guys..but thanks.
Very thoughtful wrist strap, perfect quality and pleasant to use. My compliments Peak Design, love it! 👍
I have both the cuff and the slite lite, and like the cuff very much. I use it the most. Also like the way it looks on my wrist. Works great with the Capture mount especially.
Perfect! I definitely need the video after opening🤦🏻♂️ thanks!
Your product is so awesome! I got the cuff and then of course I could not resist getting the leash strap. Such amazing design and really easy to use. Super quick to attach and detach. The packaging alone is to die for. You guys thought if everything! 👍
always enjoy your work Larry you make the videos funny and easy to remember
This product is awesome; have purchased this and the clip to hold the camera on your strap.
I didn’t need another strap but I do now thanks to the wink
I was wonder the magnet can be adjust to moved. Now I know . Thanks !
That wink sold me on the product... :-)
So relieved the black version isn't Leather having made the purchase, myself being vegan. Works perfectly, thank you 🙂
I got it today. It is amazing quality and good looking. 🥰
I am off to the shop to buy the cuff. On a completely unrelated side of: what kind of a shirt is the presenter wearing? Looks awesome!
Bracelet has me sold!
The cuff is pretty large if you have narrow wrists like I have. I can't wear this as a bracelet, just flops off ;-) Maybe my ankle will work better. And: to get the adjuster into the lock position, I had to pull really hard. Thought for a second I had a bad product, but it works alright. Thanks for the instructional video. Very helpful!
Awesome video! Mine is on the way!
And “Kudos” to Toni in Service... She took
superlative care of me!! 😎😎

Just got mine to use with a Nikon Z7. The video helped me understand how to use the magnet. Not sure why they designed it to be upside down on the right wrist, but that isn't important.
Can't wait to use my Peak Design Cuff. You are hilarious Lawrence!! LOL
This thing is great , thanks Peak Design!
this one was fun to watch
Great product video! 😊
I got one and it works very well, I was just wondering if there was an extra anchor housing to strap in my belt so that when I need my hands free I could disconnect the camera’s anchor from the Cuff and connect it to the one on my belt.
Right now I just disconnect ir and loop the Cuff in my belt and reconnect the camera but it’s a bit cumbersome and I need to place my camera in a safe place during the process.
Awesome design & thought poured into making this strap.
Buy one , love it , and here is the wishes. Go to 2:59 and you will see how the camera hanging far away from the reach of you finger, any chance that distance can be shorter?
nice products !
- some pro photographers advise to attach the cuff to the rear standard plate. what do you think ?
- in general, doesn't the red clip bother the connection to a tripod ? do we need to remove the red clip from standard plate when we use a tripod ?
- except QD feature, why do pro photographer advise on sony a7xxx, a1 to use a leofoto QD NP-65T 83 euros instead of your nice small standard plate ? when do we need another bigger plate than yours ?
peak design should put stickers in there products. I would defiantly use them. awesome products
I found that I don't even need the split ring for the small eyelits on my Sony. The anchor can go through directly with just a little extra effort.
Thanks for the magnet tricks!
Great design and love the idea of the Ash colour-way, though to incorporate a blue stitching, contrasting colour to the red on the anchors?.. Dear Peak Designs, love your gear - have the capture clips and tripods, etc...please can you manufacture some anchors that don't have the red accent... or select complimentary colours across all the different components :-)
Amazing product!
"the last mentos" got me good.
Hi I got myself a cuff for my camera. Unfortunately using it as a whist band doesn't work for me. I think it it is not made for slim female arms 😥 I made an unboxing and test video on my channel where you can see that I have to wrap the strap twice and the magnet is to weak to hold it. It would be great to have a "XS" version maybe in black with black leather matching most chic female handbags.
Menthos blink love it
2 questions
1. is there any difference in anker quality ?
like when you have a more heavy duty strap are those ankers also more heavy duty ?
2 is it not unhealthy to put magnets on your body ?
the anchors are all the same and they hold up to 200lbs. a 5 second google search answers your second question.
Thanks for that I am sold on it, I will be ordering one of them. Oh, the hitch on the anchor is called a cow hitch a bit of useless trivia maybe.
Haha the last mentos :D You make such good products! Cheers
Just got this in. Fantastic. Might grab the neck strap as well to stabilize while hand shooting video.
Love the video, informative and informal, an often hard balance. Love the product too!
This is impressive design, might pick one up
Oh no! I bought one for my iPhone...got to Croatia, and watching this just realized there has to be a loop on my iPhone case. ACK!
This product design is so smart and beautiful! Thanks for your great products, Peak Design! I ordered the Everyday Sling, I am sure I will buy this cuff and the V3 Clip later, too.... :-D
The tip about moving the magnet was so good! Was about to send mine back as my wrists are way too small for the default position
Hi! How small is your wrist? Is it comfortable to use this strap after moving the magnet. My wrist is 18 cms / 7 in. I'm not sure if this strap is comfortable in small hands.
@@martinohesse my wrist is the same size. Magnet sits in the middle of the strap, so plenty of room for larger or smaller wrists.
I bought this two weeks ago, and love the quality. But one thing I don't love is the fact that I cannot lock it in the open position, it keeps locking around my wrist - and that is extremely annoying … to me! Is there any way I can lock it permanently in the open position as I will never use the feature shown by Larry when dropping the camera etc?
best product ever
Just got mine 😁 great wrist strap! 👍
I feel like another great reason to have a cuff is so no one runs by and tries to take your camera. Or if they do they have to drag you a little bit but can't just swipe it from you
Loving the new videos!
Well, now I'm buying this
I see you have a different split ring on the camera lug. Can you tell us where you got it? That would obviously make all the difference to attaching to the Factory split rings. Was this that spit ring your using originally a Peak Design part??
I loved the wink. ehheeh
loving the cuff from minute 1 in my hand. and loving the wink, too :D
Thx!! The best gadget.
Okay, so it works when photographing Macaws, but what about with Sulphur-Crested Cockatoos? ;-)
Wyatt Russell doing a demo for PD? Sold! 😆
I really like the look of the peak design cuff strap and the convenience of switching between more than one camera body and I've been so close to buying it. What puts me off is the possibility of the metal slider clanking against camera body paint, screen, lens etc when being transported in camera bag .. I know this has happened to a few users... I could detach when not using and reattach it every time but this may prove an inconvenience . Surely a tough plastic slider would be a better option. Then I'd buy it.
Wym? To remove it you literally just push the attachment point down and slide out. Takes a fraction of a second. I’m not even being hyperbolic, it literally takes less than a second to remove.
Incredible presenter.
Is there any benefit of using this with the Clutch and the Slide, or would that just be complete overkill? I just ordered a Nikon D500 and planning on getting a macro lens so I want optimal support and security.
I really like these have three now
You had me at Mentos!,
Love your strap and clip. I just wish you guys would dump the "we're like Apple" thing and have stuff manufactured here. Don't need the Froo froo. Just my two cents.
Will the magnet corrupt the memory cards or the camera body.?
Omg theres a magnet in there??? Mind blown
Can you use cuff and clutch same time
The previous generation was so much better. Could wrap and attach it to way better around wrist using anchor.
What could be nice is a combination of the new magnet system, and the previous attachment system (for when not using for some time).
How do you keep it from getting too tight on the wrist? We have the cuff strap and hate how tight that it gets on our wrists.
can you use this and the clutch at the same time?
I recently had a camera body, lens, and transmitter fall into a creek and that was no fun. I was considering something like this to connect to my tripod as a failsafe. Do you think that would work or have any products for something like that? Thanks!
Wait, so which is it? That Menthos (r) are magnetic or that if you drop a PD Cuff into a bottle of Coke it will fizz over?
Can you please make a better cuff. One that stays locked in place. It strangles my wrist. Like add a clamp to the inside of the loop so it doesn’t cinch up when not necessary. The locking that you speak of isn’t good enough.
How do you get the split ring on? It’s cheap and bends and does not open wide enough…
Also, the little plastic piece meant to widen it doesn’t do it… do you recommend a tool that’s not PD and actually works?
The Sony ZV1 did not come with a split ring :(
it was the 😉✨ that sold me 😂
Mirroless Camera with grip can?
The wink lol
Lol I'm in Tokyo and ended buying this but I live in San Francisco😅
ya'll are magicians because I just got mine in the mail...
Question: Is the cuff long enough to be used when the battery grip is attached to the camera (X-T2 for instance)?
Any one with small wrist? How comfortable is it? My wrist is 18 cms / 7 in.
So CooL
It's good except for small wrists as you can't use the magnet
@@SYLventify Yeah I now but it's not enough 😅
I have small wrists and the magnet works perfectly.
I'll be honest, I was disappointed by the Cuff. Too difficult to get on and off. But now that I know about the lock, a better removal method and the other great tips, I'm going to give it another go.
Just purchased today at london drugs
