The Fisher Reno group just got service for our vehicles this week. It took a long while but we had a mobile tech from Portland provide excellent service (air vents installed, key fobs updates, Adas module replaced, etc). I have been in contact withe Fisker Lumins Auto shop in SAC and they are/ can service Fisker Oceans and complete regular maintenance intervals for our cars.

Police can't pull you over because the interior light is on. Lol. That's literally the purpose of the light - to see in the dark.

@@Aslash304police can only pull you over for committing a crime. As per law/case law. That being said police will lie and make something up to pull you over if you catch there interest and a light on in your car at night might catch some cops interest that is bored scrolling on TikTok. (Side note) To help prevent discrimination and bad policing California passed a law in Jan 2024 that if you get pulled over they have to state the reason right away and identify. Then they have to report your race and why they stopped you.
Absolutely they can pull you over. That is considered unsafe operation of a vehicle. Basically, the glare is the problem.

@@alananderson7903 Police can pull you over for many things. I for one have been pulled over exactly for this. They will tell you they pulled you over for unsafe operation of a vehicle. They probably won't give you a ticket, but it can be a reason to pull you over. Each state is different. Go ahead and try it.
How much better this car would be from the very outset if there was a properly functioning key fob. So much seems to stem from that one item, user experience to car functionality.
Would love to know how much an oem pays for a key fob per vehicle

great news and description how to get things fixed before EOL of Fisker.
KEEP in mind: If you can not get a more local one then take the longer route first cause now time will more matter than driving a few hours more but getting things fixed.
In germany Fisker is shutting down services or reduce those to a minimum and get rid of most of the rented space / clean that cause I bet they are not paying anymore.
Good luck with your appointment and that everything which can break on this car breaks before you arrive at that appointment to get it fixed.
The door panel should be solveable, looks like a usual tip used in the car industry an not like a new invention.
If you can try to follow the mechanic and let him explain what can be done and how cause here I have hear about a doorpanel issue on drivers side on the rear door.
Not sure, if you had the same issue, but he told me that he thinks that it had happened when he opened and close the rear door to get his jacket and suitcase out.

Great Adam, I’ll try. In LA they told me they do no service right now. I have the mirror fan issue and the rear door comes off like yours. I try to get it back but it doesn’t hold. What did you do to fix yours? Greetings from a old Bostonian
I went into the door and took out some of the padding. It held better. There are some foam pads on the inserts for the door hardware.

What did they do to fix the rear lights? Curious because mine do that as well. Of course, I have had a service request outstanding for months. Same for dash vent replacement.

Sounds like the tech that came out to you blew off someone else who had been waiting for service as well. It’s not like they have techs sitting around.
Technicians are not doing service. They are flash updating and preparing Ocean models for fire sale. But I appreciate your feedback
Same problem with my door as well and vents still not working. I have a ticket number but probably not a serious enough problem for them. Idk
It’s all about how badly they think it will go if you don’t get it. And it’s not cool at all
Does you mirror fan still stay off? Mine was fixed by service rep... and he said it would revert to on at first reset... and he was right.
Does your dome light still stay off.
My service rep said that was a software fix that was in the next update? Maybe??

The Mirror fan is no solution. Just resets by technicians until it decides to go away. I had the technician permanently disconnect all the rear lights. No more light issue
Adam - thanks for all the informative videos. I also have the right back light randomly turn on and the fan noise for the unit behind the rear-view mirror. BUT probably less leverage than you have for service... Is the fix something one could do on his/her own? Somewhat in the comments suggested a software fix?! My main beef with my FOE (beyond the key fob which everyone learns to deal with) is that it was delivered without the tow hitch and without telling me (in Dec 23). I am still trying to get that item shipped/installed. Would love to get any help with that? Anybody knows who makes the hitch for the Ocean (without electrical)? Maybe I can get it from that supplier directly and get someone else to install - that's how desperate I am!
I had mine unplugged. No more lights. If you are desperate for a tow package, I would encourage a trip to one of the Fisker dealerships. Ask them if you can take one off of the Oceans they have for sale. It’s not likely you’ll receive it from the company.

It is crazy that a car company that has not filed for bankruptcy is intentionally breaking laws denying service, while prioritizing safety issues. Just like them stopping roadside assistance overseas and telling customers that they need to pay service fees for things included with the car. Soon, they might charge you whatever they feel like it for service, depending on how bad you want it!
The desperation is real
I have the identical electrical/software problems with my vehicle. My case has been open for months and very frustrating. I am also waiting on the rear aero flaps. I will try your approach to help expedite the repairs.

Yes indeed. They were permanently unplugged on both sides. No more light issues. No more lights at all.
Temporary fix for a permanent problem. Hopefully another Fisker owner will dive into this problem and figure it out for themselves and share. Hopefully you get it fixed permanently Adam.
@@Aslash304 after the techs reset my overhead console and cleared errors the ghost light turns on so infrequently now that i opted to not unplug it during this weeks tech visit
Yep complained twice on the lights coming on randomly in rear. Thanks for this. I wanted to know if this was happening.
It’s a common problem
I spent nearly 30 minutes with the Albany, NY Fisker dealer yesterday. They were an original Fisker Karma dealer and now sell everything from Fiskers to Maserati's. He said they want rto do service but are waiting for approx. 1 month for the laptop from Fisker to plug into the car to do diagnostics and create solutions,. No laptop. No service. How can Fisker be THAT negligent?

Adam, thanks for speaking up on behalf of all Fisker car owners! They are legally obligated to meet the terms of the Contract. They are not bankrupt yet. Even in bankruptcy, the court may not allow them from unilaterally withholding service. I don't see anyway the court is going to allow chapter 11 with this wreckless behavior. It might not even be Henrik calling the shots. Those people in charge maybe illegally trying to protecting their self interests.

I got one question I don’t understand. I saw your 10k video. What advantage would fisker’s loan company get out of preventing them from being bought out? Wouldn’t it harm them, if fisker goes bankrupt they won’t be able to pay all the debt. The chance of a buy would provide them with the ability to get there money back?

Honestly... Unsafe isnt an overriding factor. I was told by cuatomer service themselves that they just drop a request in their chat and its up to the regional head if theu deploy a tech to your request... If being bricked, havibg break usues or front lights malfunction cant get them to respond... Unsafe isnt a trigger for them.

I really REALLY wanted to buy an Ocean. So many things I see going wrong. I saw one with a cracked solar sky due to winter and a piece of weather strip that caused it. I saw another with a damaged piece surrounding the solar sky potentially due to when the Ocean is on a decline or include the solar panel does not close well, potentially buckling the surrounding piece. When a 12v needs to be replaced you need a Fisker tech to recalibrate the back most doggie windows and all 12v will need to be replaced at some point with potentially no tech available. Multiple cars immobilized due to OTA updates that failed mid install draining the 12v and needing a tech to fix. One of which the tech is baffled and can't get it going. Brake failure on one where the owner offered me $25k with many many issues and he just wants out. Back cockpit lights that do not go on, Keyfob issues. Door handle with one owner in Arizona where the plastic white insert deteriorated. Minor accidents with no parts that total the Ocean. Alarms that go off and can't be stopped. Power loss on some earlier cars. Brakes that slam on which caused several injuries. AC/heat vents failing. And those are things off the top of my head, if I think more I could probably remember more. And with parts being an issue tech can't even ifx the Oceans with issues even if they could get to you. AND a lack of response on phone lines. I tried to call, out of curiosity. I was on hold for 56 minutes and got cut off. There is NO WAY I am buying an Ocean, absolutely NO WAY!!!!! AND I didn't even mention the likelihood of bankruptcy and lack of ANY followup information to potential owners patiently looking for financial updates.

@@Aslash304 I believe it is as expected right. The main sensor equipment is there and the fan is there to take off the heat. I believe it won’t require full speed always and they can limit the speed. I see sometimes it rotates slowly as well.

Adam in the pre-2.0 Version you could fix the light issue with a deep Sleep.

My Extreme is set to 10 minutes. The extra boot up time is no big deal to me. I'm not in that big of a hurry. I've been testing it out and without your car going into a deep sleep, you have a few things left on inside the car. It goes totally dark, once it deep sleeps. Genius idea to completely stop all phantom drains 👍.
The statement that a deep sleep fixes the rear lights is absolutely false.
I have version 2.0 I set all inside and outside lights to go off immediately upon locking the car. There is no delay, plus the car goes into a deep sleep in 10 minutes. None of us are experts, but we share things that have worked for our own vehicles. I spent 10 days driving each day for a cross-country anniversary vacation, equaling almost 3000 miles after buying the vehicle with 600 miles on it. The vehicle acted to me like a computer that gathers too much information and then can't process it all properly and efficiently. Doing as I described above made 95% of my problems go away! No more rear lights coming on, no more sensor failures during my daily drives. I am purposely making this my daily driver to see what works and what doesn't for my FOE. I also recommend disconnecting any app associated with the car other than the Fisker app. Optiwatt, phantom drained both our Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6 cars. Once we removed any app other than Hyundai app, no more 12-volt dead batteries. I DEFINETLY wasn't going to try it with the Fisker. It's not easy to open the hood at all on the Fisker to jump it. I'm passing along this information as I found it to be accurate (with my vehicle) and true. It may work for someone else's FO.
Can you tell me the number you called? I have open tickets and the tech that was supposed to come to my home did not materialize as was promised 4 days ago. I also have the lights in the back of the car that are often shinning. My vents,12V battery , sunroof and California mode are not working. Remote resets are not helping. I am going to find a dealership near eastern Pennsylvania as I plan to ask for a brand new FOE with all software updates and systems functioning.
844-FISKER1. I made it very clear I would do everything in my power to report the company’s negligence.

Thanks Adam. I have done many of the things that you have suggested but no service. I didn't threaten them but I did tell them my car was unsafe and that I almost got hit last week (absolutely true). I have put in several support request and call regularly. I agree your fast service just pushed someone else further down the list. I have been waiting over 5 months. Glad you got service but can you honestly say your platform didn't"t help the most?
I tried to help the community by explicitly describing exactly how I got service. Every owner that needs service and isn’t getting it has every right to be mad. You deserve to have service. I am trying my best to help. Part of helping comes with being the subject of criticism and negative feedback. I can confirm, with evidence, that those who have threatened the company with action have received service within a more acceptable time frame and with a greater sense of urgency. The fact that service isn’t being provided on a first come, first serve basis, is the actual problem.

I owe you a beer or another beverage of your choice. I just got off the phone, after 1:02 on hold waiting for rep, with a case number for Fisker to fix my FOO safety issues. These safety issues include un-commanded rear-seat light illumination and the car shifting into park while waiting at a light or stop sign. Another significant problem is that my car won't connect to wifi or cellular.
For the folks experiencing the car shifting itself into park issue - the rep said that was due to the car not recognizing the key fob. He recommend that I velcro the key to the NFC reader above the left knee while driving while waiting for service.

I have been telling you all for several months that since Fisker UK accepted my FOO back in January due to safety issues (well documented) - Regen braking not working , locked out of vehicle 3 times, Fisker have an obligation to refund in full.
Thankfully Fisker UK did refund in full.
Today, the FOO, which I purchased for £61,000 in October 23 & returned in Jan 24 for a full refund, was advertised on UK Autotrader for £31,000.

the route is the goal and the challenge.
As long as you own the car and can run it you have not lost money. If you can keep it running for 10 years like the Fisker Karma has proven, which was a far more complicated situation and car as a hybrid with suppliers that had gone bankrupt and a far smaller ownership (2400 cars compared to 10.000 built)., then you have not lost anything cause it will sell quite well in 10 years like the Fisker Karma cause it has unique characteristics some buyers loved so much that they went full in and ignored all risks and warning signals. And in 10 years there will be still people who fell in love with its shape, same with Saab from Sweden.
Just keep calm and carry on to make the best out of it and then the glass will be half full and not half empty.
I am not saying that the ownership of a Fisker Ocean will easy, rather challenging, but I bet it will have a better outcome than many think today. De Lorean had back then also stock for years to sell before back to the future hit the streets. Karma is also today a car with a higher residual value than other from the era with a similiar MRSP back then.

Tricky one here for sure. You have now convinced everyone to claim that everything wrong with their Ocean is a significant safety issue and the steps to take to escalate this to media and agencies. That's how Americans are, we want OUR place in line to be first. Although I do understand that everyone wants service AND everyone should absolutely get service, especially as time might be running out to actually get service, but now everyone and their grandmother will call with this approach. Not sure how fair this is, but to each his own.

@@Aslash304 Fortunately I didn't buy and with all the issues that I added in a comment here there is NO WAY in hell I'm buying. I lost a $2,000 deposit I put on one but I say I lucked out with that minor loss.
