Unfortunately good PVP and P2W don't mix.
Noone cares about p2w players. Every hardcore no lifer playing this game (and there will be A LOT in EU) will be much further in terms of gear and progression
game is horrid with the p2w and if they keep the p2w it will die as fast or faster in NA.
how active is it now? its a a big loss isnt it? they didn't even mention it during Q1 meeting.
p2w guilds will own everything and the rest will just struggle, get upset and leave.
It is dead and not making any money. NC think that the western launch will save it. They are very wrong.
Been on the Korean server for a while now. The P2W is not limited. It's real as is perfect block scripts, botting, etc. The bots are not gone. Anyone saying otherwise is blatantly lying or ignorantly passing on false information put out by other people lying. PVP is also currently a zerg-fest on most servers (or simply dead due to zergs), so servers are on a very short life span for good pvp. All that said, it's a very good game with tons of potential. I do recommend checking it out and hopefully developers will solve these very obvious issues. Some are easy fixes, some not....

Bots are eliminated in Korea. Whaling is not possible and very limited. Guilds and MMO content are the only ways to max your character in this game !

Yeah sure, people were saying the same thing about Lost Ark prior to the western release.
Also Amazon is not really good with bots, so we will see.
if this is true then the game will probably be decent - and then die quickly cause consumer friendly practices are unfriendly to the studios wallets. i'm expecting another lost ark case though
I've been waiting for this game since the announcement came out that it would be released in KR, but I announced that it would have a beta for us but until today I haven't received my key, I'm very sad as I see the same person in the community winning several keys and some people selling them... very sad. Really sad, I just wanted to experience this beta

With the anti-bot system I've seen a lot less bots than when there was no anti-bot system, so I'm thankful for that.
Also, I don't recommend people to go to these streamers servers, they are absolute whiners and server destroyers, remember they live off twitch and leave the game in 2 months.

i just can't get into it i played for 4 days on and off the closed beta and I am bored with it don't get me wrong its a beautiful-looking game but not fir me
Sounds like a great game, especially being a BDO main for like 7 years before jumping into Lost Ark. Visuals look fun, but I do hope the PvE is as good as you say it is. Sometimes it's just fun grinding mobs for cash. I'm just kinda worried about the time investment in the PvP though. It feels like there's going to be elite guilds where you have to be a big swiper and/or spend countless daily hours, while people like me may not fit in too well with a guild like that and join a casual or smaller community. But if I do that, then will I still enjoy the pvp scene being a "casual."
What I'm curious and I guess a bit worried about is that you were so invested in Thrones and your guild and had some great PvP content, but you just stopped all of sudden. What reason did you just drop the ball on the game? My main guess is that it was just viewer count and interest in the game waned on Twitch since it was a KR game only.

I was able to get a key for PS5 for the closed beta. Is there anyway to just simply get the guild info to join it when the game goes live? I am down to test anything needed both in and out of Guild. Hoping the game drops in Summer if this goes well.

Alliance hand holding is going to kill this game the same way it's obliterated BDO's large scale pvp scene. It's going to be fun for a month or so - then the try hards will ally the majority of the competition, it will stagnate and everyone one will *gasp* about why there's less to do later. There needs to be a VERY strong anti-alliance implementation into games like this.

A game with huge potential. Its sad how cheaters are ruining the gaming industry. First Shooters now mmos botting leaderboards. There has to be a way to hold them accountable and permanently ban those accounts. The AI revolution needs to bring an AI anti-cheat to get this under control or in less than a decade ALL games will be ruined by cheaters. Good video!
What if you're not a PvP guy? Is it avoidable or are you forced to defend your ass from random gankers who have nothing better to do while traversing the map?
Game look good but I like more free action combat systems.

Woop got my key, lets see if this game is any good. Have hopes for it as loved lineage 2 for 15+years, but hopes are killed by the 'no class' system :( we shall see tho
I'm still really excited for the game despite the negativity. I just hope AGS doesn't release the game during big expansion releases like Dawntrail and The War Within and just ruin the launch. Personally I want to go Crossbow/Dagger since I love that Diablo Demon Hunter fantasy.

The current pvp on TL is very confusing and chaos with no tactics at all.
They should add small and medium scale pvp.
Only siege is a big no for me because of the lag.
pay to win is a sliding scale how much do you have to spend? like how much like $1000 to $2500

im very convinced this game will be huge on release and then fall off massively after about a month and struggle to survive, BUT that first month is probably gonna be great so i'm excited to grind then ditch it

Amazon will not punish macro users, at least that is what i did learn from LA global. I did report a ton of macro boting player and after 1 month they still macro boting every day, pretty much on the same spot. -,-
They don't need to punish them. NC already implemented in-game punishment. There's an AI that works as anti bot. It's basically infinite HP mob that targets afk combat and macro users and simply bans them.

Region located all my online friends got a beta test key i signed up days b4 them in fact was the one who sent then the link to sign up for it. yet they got picked happy for them but they didnt even no what it ways untell i sent that link...kinda BS tbh

You forgot to mention that all that "grind" you talk about is very limited per day, you cant reliably grind lucent outisde of daily resets and time limited events. It's not like in Black Desert where f2p player can just grind mobs for hours to catch up to a whale, drop rates from normal grind are so low that it's pointless except for bots.
Game will be fun for the first weeks and then die bc of bots.

I'll only try it out if they bring back the auto-fighting. Time is precious so it would have been the perfect MMO for me with that system.

Why don’t u full commit to BDO and enstablish ur community there? It seems like ur going back an forth between mmorpg. Just get into one and go deep with that.
agree with u kanon , very mild p2w as it is for now especially cz there is a cap u gonna hit it sooner or later as a f2p player cz really mmos are not a rush but a marathon and lineage 2 community knows it well.
great changes to nod wars even if we want the big fights sadly humans always wanna abuse and exploit anything to win , so devs took the decision to ''fix'' it.
now we all know beta servers was a big open beta test , the multiple weekly changes , the frebies to rush u into end game showed that it was a beta test in korea and thats how ncsoft treated it , so i feel thats why they where a bit more soft on botters etc etc.
imo this is an amazing mmo , plays well runs well feels fluid but the most important its not a 2nd life mmo , u can skip a day or two or a week u wont feel the big gap like others mmos ! definetly respects ur time and in 2024 who has time to grind 12-16 hours everyday ?! not many so its a tryhard casual mmo if that makes sense that respects ur time , 2-4 times everyday its enough to be around everything plus some pvp events sieges nodes etc etc, u can keep ur gf wife childs happy and play on the side few hours :) win in my book

Pay to win is not the same as pay to advance quicker. Pay to win ONLY applies if you HAVE to buy an item and it cannot be obtained any other way AND it has to give a massive advantage. Not pay to win.
