I thought it was obvious from the comment... the fact with top top guilds having mainly no-lifers is the simple fact that you can't be the top top guild without having mainly no-lifers... but people don't understand that... if they join a guild with some no-lifers but they contribute less than someone else would, why would they take you? No-lifers go with no-lifers, semi-hardcore players typically go with other semi-hardcore players and casual player usually go with other casual players... why? Cause it works... cause everyone contributes about the same and they're all happy... if you work 8 hours a day for the guild and I work 5 hours per week for it then I'm sorry but if I want to be treated the same as you I'm either joking or I'm stupid... People need to realize that in MMOs you're given what you're worth... if you wanna play a few hours a week or even a few hours a day then you need to find a guild that matches that cause no-lifers will think that you're not contributing enough to be useful unless you're some uber talented player in PvP that despite playing less you're shitting on people left and right...
I gave your comment a thumbs up, but you have to think different. Whales, HC or "competitive" ppl grab the Archboss weapons and pump money into a game, that on the other hand, lets you enjoy all other content and chill. They did say, that they will add equalized PvP in the future, if your into PvP and competition and having some Top Gear, that they hopefully add to the rewards connected to the equalized system. I gave up on competition in MMORPGs a long time ago...there are other games for that.
I'm sorry but mmos should have exclusive stuff for the most competitive people. Why would they grind the game all day if the normal Andies can get everything easily.

I'm the same way, played alone for years in garbage FFXIV because most guilds was RP Focused, felt like High School Musical, Drama Fest, or plain creepy or weird. I'm currently playing BDO, played this game for almost 2 years before joining a guild, I'm almost on my 4th year next year in March, and enjoyed the solo life. No guild means no responsibilities for having to log in or keep the guild happy or helping them out in their time of need. You can play like a literal Lone Wolf and do everything at your own pace without a care in the world
@@boneylockz3967 I hear you, however here’s the thing. I’m an old head when it comes to MMORPGs. Played WoW back in the 2000’s..when I was in guilds there were plenty of “lone wolf” players. Often times the Lone Wolf players were OP and it was a gift whenever they were online because they made the runs go smoother. There’s no obligation though…that’s why there are so many more guild members that are available. Now, when it comes to high level raiding for example that’s a little different. Where if you have scheduled with others to do a raid then make sure you’re there, If you don’t want to, don’t schedule with them. What I will say is that being a lone wolf is great because you can do matchmaking with people on the fly. However the bottom line is still you need other players to play with, thus multiplayer…not single player

How friendly is this game to someone who is gonna probably play few hours each day and maybe go midcore on days off? I loved playing lost ark but I eventually got lapped several times by the grind lords and got kept out of the game and just dropped it. Don't wanna put time into this game just to have it happen again.
Just got to find yourself a good guild there will always be people who no life the game or have slots of free time to play do what you can and have fun
The same thing happened to me, and I didn't want to swipe pretty sure this game goes down the same path, but it will probably be fun for hopefully for a few months
if you're not that into competing at the highest level, it's very friendly. Daily stuff takes about 2-3 hrs and even then you can put off a few days and not miss any aside from log-in rewards

I was intending on playing this game. I didn’t play any of the betas but I’ve been playing on the Korean server for the past week trying to get an understanding of things. The more and more I see videos like this and hear about the game, the more I am put off and probably not going to play it. The fact that a player’s power progression is tied to whether or not they are in a top guild is wild and this design is going to backfire here in the West. It’s not going to end well for Throne and Liberty.
@@SergeantSpectre The gameplay loop is not what concerns me. It’s the fact that I am limited in terms of my power gain by whether I’m in a top guild or unless I swipe. And I’m someone who has the means to swipe. This is a bad design for the West. The game should’ve just stayed in the East if they think this is going to fly in the West. Once the new game feel wears off, it’s not going to be pretty.

I played in one of the betas, and I have no intention of playing again because of the issues you mentioned. The guild I was in (can't remember the name its been awhile) was a top pvp guild. When they opened territory control, our alliance held the zones uncontested. We did the 4 hour rotations on pvp bosses. Unless they have drastically changed drop rates, I personally found it a waste of time. Each boss was dropping like 3-4 pieces to a guild of over 100. Game looked great, ran well, but the idea that unless you're in a top guild you won't get get experience the higher end without paying or much later on is dog shit design. Lets face the facts, not EVERYONE can join the top alliance. Not everyone is gonna be in the top 1%. I gave it a shot, and to be fair, the game is F2P so I encourage others to try it out. Just know, that you HAVE to be in a guild, it HAS to be active, and you HAVE to grind.

Hi, I seen your comments on a bunch of posts and you seem very knowledgeable and would love if you could help me with a decision between which class to play. I’m waiting for global release of game. I’ve narrowed it down to either sns/gs, gs/dagger, staff/bow, dagger/bow or staff/dagger. I mainly want to pvp but of course I will pve as I level up. Farm materials and weapons and gear so I need to also be strong for pve dps Of the combos I listed for PVE dps which one is best? Next question is in terms of 1v1 3v3 and if I want to try the bigger guild battles. Of the weapon combos I listed. Which do you think is better to 1v1 someone. Or in group scenario or more. Which combo can kill fast and stay alive well. I read that range is not as strong as melee but I seen some clips where range really does very good against people kills fast and seems to stay alive well. How would range compare to the melee gs builds if the range builds came into 1v1 or 3v3 etc against melee. Which of these weapon combos is easier to learn? Which has higher potential. And which is probably easier to go kill someone fast and pvp and pve idk.. Any advise please. Also which armor would I need and any info please. I seen tier lists and I narrowed down between those melee and range combos I mentioned. I rlly like idea of the staff and range etc. but I don’t Wana die fast and be squishy I want to be strong high damage
ugh i HATE gearing systems like this, its so bad. why cant we just have gearing like wow does it..... its simple, it works, higher ivl through pve or pvp... all this upgrade path with 100 diffrent currencies and fail attempth is the worst part of any mmo

how about you dont watch guides for a game thats not even out yet, the part of exploring and being confused in a whole new game is part of the fun. Then once you hit a wall or need help with something , look up guides or tips
Welcome to Eastern games. They know how to make games more interesting. Not just farm X item to do X thing like all western MMOs boring! More mechanics, more to learn, more to enjoy
Too simple systems will dry up the content loop too much and you'll have nothing to do after 1 month (or less) of playing the game. Blue Protocol was a good example of it and imo played a huge part of its downfall, you just max out stuff super easy and simple and you don't even have content to use these maxed out weapon in. While these things are frustrating and complex for people who don't play these types of games that often, this is actually pretty simple to comprehend at least for me. And yes I do acknowledge that these complex systems are sometimes placed to sneak p2w aspects as well.
Two main points. 1- you can upgrade your traits by using lower grade items. So check the market and compare prices against purple gear. It has a pity system so eventually you will get it. 2- You can sell items as a scroll in the market, however that's limited to one per week, so choose wisely which item you turn into sellable. Also, don't turn into a scroll items with good traits, extract them instead.
This game may repeat *Lost Ark cycle* all over again: - initial hype and a lot of players - quickly dries out due to discovery of p2w elements - losing bunch of playerbase but keeping stable one - bot inflows, which boost up numbers of online players - nothing being done with bot issue - rushing content so the casuals quit the game - spenders and whales form 1-2 guilds that can not be competed against and force casuals out of pvp content - afterwards game will linger in its limbo state of spenders & bots handshaking each other

Please rename this to "Trait 101" or equivalent . Honestly didn't understand how to do traits until this video. I was looking for something like this for weeks. 100% useful AF, because for some reason the trait system was hard to understand with my limited resources as a new player on KR server
I've watched the whole video and I feel like I learned nothing, I just don't get everything without having the game in front of me. Whatever, I'll just go blind and do random shit once the game will launch haha.

So we are limited to a certain amount of item we can sell but not limited to buy items if i understand. the limited amount of stuff we can sell for lucent seems to make an even bigger gap between a F2P player and someone who will whale. The top guild will be the whales guild for the first few months. i wouldn't be surprised that you wont be recruited in those guild if you are not willing to "P2W". I don't see how this game can succeed with this kind of approach, i hope it's not as bad as it sound tho.
You guys just need to come and watch the video when you reach the time to trait your epic gear. You dont need to understand it before you have it. You dont need to understand the situation before you have the task at your hand.

kanon plays these games at the highest skill level.... i would not worry about most of what he says unless that is how you want to play.. its an mmo... just play and have fun...
Okay so farm scrolls and ink every week and all the other stones we need haha then double check traits vs lithographs. Watch out for blues for lvlin traits because it can be much cheaper than going through the purples.
I hate backtracking and as a casual I atleast try to be as efficient as I can.. so the sentence "Pick a Class and stick with it or else..." is important to me. I am always struggling becouse I like playing different classes and builds to enjoy.. Im now mostly leaning towards Bow / Dagger but I also have SNS GS, GS/Dagger, Dagger / XBOW and maybe a Bow/ Wand for the supporting role.. and I really dont want to backtrack too much.. so the question: How can I test and when is it best to stick to a weapon and not change anymore? Like is there space to try out different classes throughout the leveling process and then decide at endgame or do I need to choose a class directly at the beginning and stick with it?
lolll half the shit on reddit about me is fake news. My alliance was on top and we won the first castle taking down everyone. A lot of people hate champions, not even glazing myself, it's just true. Half the server loved me, half hated me. I assure you, when/if you join a top alliance (especially if you're leading it) you're gonna be "the bad guy" for a lot of people. Goes with the territory of being at the top in a PVP game. Also large scale pvp isn't even ruined in this game, it's better..so that statement doesn't even check out.
If i gotta join a guild to save thousand of materials etc then i probably wont be on this game long, every game ive played that requires guilding etc always ends up be a game killer for me
The trait system reminds me of star trek online, you could have a blue item in the marketplace but because it has a certain trait on it it could be worth millions just cause you can extract that trait. So id say take advantage of the market early game cause later down the road those same items could be worth something
Appreciate the information for the game, but i luled when you said choose a top guild my head said so if you are casual you are fucked unless your willing to swipe and how as a new player would you even know who is a top guild; regardless i didn't plan on making this game my long term MMO but I will definitely enjoy that initial fun hype/grind

@trapazoidspl6075 What if you are a mid range player where you can't fully try hard because you don't have enough time you're forced to go casual and because from my minor understanding the guild is extremely important; do you just f it no point and go full casual because the top guilds just want grinders thats a double negative to the casual/semi hardcore. I want the game to succeed, but if there is too big of a gap between someone who has a ton of time vs. a someone casual/ semi hardcore it's dead in a few months, which, tbh korea has a big drop off from the videos I have seen. Obviously I am speaking from videos I have seen the top guilds destroy everyone and servers get forced merged because they die it's literally the same issue NW had; GVG games and hardcore guild that get rewards and benefits do not work in MMORPS you can't have massive gaps; all these massive incentives towards hardcore players don't work because they are the minority of your player base; it's just a fact and if you are going to reward the top guilds with important power producing items and currency vs those who are not in them it's doomed.
@@Cjbreezey mate a hardcore, a whale and a casual player have the same fcking amount of daily activities to grind/farm etc.. Every guild has a chance to get drops from PVE OPEN RAIDS. Top tier guilds are just going to dominate the PVP OPEN WOLD AREAS and the SIEGE nothing else. On the other hand if you dont have enough time to complete every day all DAILY activities then thats your "problem". If you believe it is fair for a 10 hours a day guy being in the same lvl/gear score/dmg as a 1 hour a day player you have to reconsider your thinking.

from what i have heared from other ppl playing t&l is that you can get the archeboss weapons from pve worldbosses too. so my question is, are pve worldbosses bound to guild participation too or why cant i just do those and not depend on my guild being in the top alliance?

The MENA pricing of all preorder bundles is utterly fukked up. 111% more than the Valve suggested price at every tier. Do they not want us to play their games? Their CEO stepped down and the play rate in KR is apparently dwindling. Shouldn't they bet higher on the success of the global launch and incentivise more people to shower them with money? $40 USD is too steep a price, at least for Turkey.
And this comes from a Genshin player and a once-dolphin. I spent more than $300 on that game despite it being free because the game was fun, and I wanted to support the developers (well, I used to). I can't say there weren't any impulsive spendings, but it was mostly controlled and calculated. Mihoyo figured this out so early, but an ancient company like NCSoft still hasn't? No wonder their stock prices dipped. Serves them well.
$40 for 3 skins and 5 day early access is too much IMO. I am able to pay it but the package content is not worth it. If it had local pricing around $15, I'd gladly get that for the skins.

I only found out about this game 3 months ago from a Turkish MMO channel and, since I wanted to keep the experience fresh, I purposefully stayed away from most educational videos involving efficient farming tips, endgame content and anything involving Sollent, except for Lucent because I figured the game was optimized to swindle the players as much as possible with cosmetic and upgrade traps and I wasn't wrong.
Everyone that complains about P2W on the AH in T&L must not be aware of people like me that have been buying gold in WoW since 2004 and buying all the AH epics. Or paying guilds for boss weapon drops and just AFKing raids. It's literally the same thing, except NCSoft is open about it and selling the "gold" (lucent) themselves instead of pretending it's 3rd party sellers. That's why I don't really take people seriously that cry about P2W in T&L. It's been in every major MMO for 20 years. They're just more open about it.
yeah thats true but the biggest difference is, that TL has a very restricted progression how much currency you can get/ how much you can sell, so the catch up is is limited/ you cant get much ahead by playing better/more

in other mmorpg pvp games (darkfall, shadowbane and ac darktide are some examples) big guilds and alliances destroys the fun of this kind of games.

I think you will be fine its sorta designed for casuals. Defiantly join a guild you will log in and just get massive free stuff.

As someone who has played KR and all betas for alpha give it a shot. So many people hate on the game without knowing the real gameplay loop.

I’ve narrowed it down to either sns/gs, gs/dagger, staff/bow, dagger/bow or staff/dagger.
I mainly want to pvp but of course I will pve as I level up. Farm materials and weapons and gear so I need to also be strong for pve dps
Of the combos I listed for PVE dps which one is best?
Next question is in terms of 1v1 3v3 and if I want to try the bigger guild battles.

I read that range is not as strong as melee but I seen some clips where range really does very good against people kills fast and seems to stay alive well.
How would range compare to the melee gs builds if the range builds came into 1v1 or 3v3 etc against melee.
Which of these weapon combos is easier to learn? Which has higher potential. And which is probably easier to go kill someone fast and pvp and pve idk..

ugh i HATE gearing systems like this, its so bad. why cant we just have gearing like wow does it..... its simple, it works, higher ivl through pve or pvp... all this upgrade path with 100 diffrent currencies and fail attempth is the worst part of any mmo

Too simple systems will dry up the content loop too much and you'll have nothing to do after 1 month (or less) of playing the game. Blue Protocol was a good example of it and imo played a huge part of its downfall, you just max out stuff super easy and simple and you don't even have content to use these maxed out weapon in. While these things are frustrating and complex for people who don't play these types of games that often, this is actually pretty simple to comprehend at least for me. And yes I do acknowledge that these complex systems are sometimes placed to sneak p2w aspects as well.

Two main points.
1- you can upgrade your traits by using lower grade items. So check the market and compare prices against purple gear. It has a pity system so eventually you will get it.
2- You can sell items as a scroll in the market, however that's limited to one per week, so choose wisely which item you turn into sellable. Also, don't turn into a scroll items with good traits, extract them instead.
This game may repeat *Lost Ark cycle* all over again:
- initial hype and a lot of players
- quickly dries out due to discovery of p2w elements
- losing bunch of playerbase but keeping stable one
- bot inflows, which boost up numbers of online players
- nothing being done with bot issue
- rushing content so the casuals quit the game
- spenders and whales form 1-2 guilds that can not be competed against and force casuals out of pvp content
- afterwards game will linger in its limbo state of spenders & bots handshaking each other

Please rename this to "Trait 101" or equivalent . Honestly didn't understand how to do traits until this video. I was looking for something like this for weeks. 100% useful AF, because for some reason the trait system was hard to understand with my limited resources as a new player on KR server

So we are limited to a certain amount of item we can sell but not limited to buy items if i understand.
the limited amount of stuff we can sell for lucent seems to make an even bigger gap between a F2P player and someone who will whale.
The top guild will be the whales guild for the first few months. i wouldn't be surprised that you wont be recruited in those guild if you are not willing to "P2W".
I don't see how this game can succeed with this kind of approach, i hope it's not as bad as it sound tho.

Okay so farm scrolls and ink every week and all the other stones we need haha then double check traits vs lithographs. Watch out for blues for lvlin traits because it can be much cheaper than going through the purples.

I hate backtracking and as a casual I atleast try to be as efficient as I can.. so the sentence "Pick a Class and stick with it or else..." is important to me. I am always struggling becouse I like playing different classes and builds to enjoy.. Im now mostly leaning towards Bow / Dagger but I also have SNS GS, GS/Dagger, Dagger / XBOW and maybe a Bow/ Wand for the supporting role.. and I really dont want to backtrack too much.. so the question: How can I test and when is it best to stick to a weapon and not change anymore? Like is there space to try out different classes throughout the leveling process and then decide at endgame or do I need to choose a class directly at the beginning and stick with it?

lolll half the shit on reddit about me is fake news. My alliance was on top and we won the first castle taking down everyone. A lot of people hate champions, not even glazing myself, it's just true. Half the server loved me, half hated me. I assure you, when/if you join a top alliance (especially if you're leading it) you're gonna be "the bad guy" for a lot of people. Goes with the territory of being at the top in a PVP game. Also large scale pvp isn't even ruined in this game, it's better..so that statement doesn't even check out.

The trait system reminds me of star trek online, you could have a blue item in the marketplace but because it has a certain trait on it it could be worth millions just cause you can extract that trait. So id say take advantage of the market early game cause later down the road those same items could be worth something
Appreciate the information for the game, but i luled when you said choose a top guild my head said so if you are casual you are fucked unless your willing to swipe and how as a new player would you even know who is a top guild; regardless i didn't plan on making this game my long term MMO but I will definitely enjoy that initial fun hype/grind

@trapazoidspl6075 What if you are a mid range player where you can't fully try hard because you don't have enough time you're forced to go casual and because from my minor understanding the guild is extremely important; do you just f it no point and go full casual because the top guilds just want grinders thats a double negative to the casual/semi hardcore. I want the game to succeed, but if there is too big of a gap between someone who has a ton of time vs. a someone casual/ semi hardcore it's dead in a few months, which, tbh korea has a big drop off from the videos I have seen. Obviously I am speaking from videos I have seen the top guilds destroy everyone and servers get forced merged because they die it's literally the same issue NW had; GVG games and hardcore guild that get rewards and benefits do not work in MMORPS you can't have massive gaps; all these massive incentives towards hardcore players don't work because they are the minority of your player base; it's just a fact and if you are going to reward the top guilds with important power producing items and currency vs those who are not in them it's doomed.
@@Cjbreezey mate a hardcore, a whale and a casual player have the same fcking amount of daily activities to grind/farm etc.. Every guild has a chance to get drops from PVE OPEN RAIDS. Top tier guilds are just going to dominate the PVP OPEN WOLD AREAS and the SIEGE nothing else. On the other hand if you dont have enough time to complete every day all DAILY activities then thats your "problem". If you believe it is fair for a 10 hours a day guy being in the same lvl/gear score/dmg as a 1 hour a day player you have to reconsider your thinking.
Ngl you give really useful information, and I think the reason your channel is not getting bigger is because your videos are WAY too long. A quick guide on how to save Lucents should not be a 30-minute video, and I see this pattern in all your videos.

The MENA pricing of all preorder bundles is utterly fukked up. 111% more than the Valve suggested price at every tier. Do they not want us to play their games? Their CEO stepped down and the play rate in KR is apparently dwindling. Shouldn't they bet higher on the success of the global launch and incentivise more people to shower them with money? $40 USD is too steep a price, at least for Turkey.
And this comes from a Genshin player and a once-dolphin. I spent more than $300 on that game despite it being free because the game was fun, and I wanted to support the developers (well, I used to). I can't say there weren't any impulsive spendings, but it was mostly controlled and calculated. Mihoyo figured this out so early, but an ancient company like NCSoft still hasn't? No wonder their stock prices dipped. Serves them well.
$40 for 3 skins and 5 day early access is too much IMO. I am able to pay it but the package content is not worth it. If it had local pricing around $15, I'd gladly get that for the skins.

I only found out about this game 3 months ago from a Turkish MMO channel and, since I wanted to keep the experience fresh, I purposefully stayed away from most educational videos involving efficient farming tips, endgame content and anything involving Sollent, except for Lucent because I figured the game was optimized to swindle the players as much as possible with cosmetic and upgrade traps and I wasn't wrong.

Everyone that complains about P2W on the AH in T&L must not be aware of people like me that have been buying gold in WoW since 2004 and buying all the AH epics. Or paying guilds for boss weapon drops and just AFKing raids. It's literally the same thing, except NCSoft is open about it and selling the "gold" (lucent) themselves instead of pretending it's 3rd party sellers.
That's why I don't really take people seriously that cry about P2W in T&L. It's been in every major MMO for 20 years. They're just more open about it.
yeah thats true but the biggest difference is, that TL has a very restricted progression how much currency you can get/ how much you can sell, so the catch up is is limited/ you cant get much ahead by playing better/more
