Since its Korean, and the Korean game industry loves P2W to milk their playerbases.. is this going to be P2W? And if 'no', why so sure? Amazon also isn't the most trustworthy.
One thing I learned from years of playing mmorpgs is that choosing a class you’ll enjoy the most in the long run, regardless of power scaling, will always be better than playing a “meta” you don’t enjoy. Also, the “meta” can change in the blink of an eye, so prioritizing enjoyment rather than efficiency can and will lead to a better experience.
@@Naicht I agree with you actually. Because me, currently playing Black Desert Online, ALL my favorite class choices are not metas but I enjoy them anyways because they are fun. But when times come like PvP and fighting metas, and my class having lower damage or defense or no self heals or self buff sure puts the FUN in my chosen class down the vault. Then there is PvE. My chosen PvP classes are I'd say average in PvE but requires more combos and skills and effort for the same amount of damage for meta PvE classes, though I enjoy them still, but seeing how some players legit decimate hoards of 700gs mobs in the matter of seconds with little to no effort makes me feel some. kind of way about my class choice with makes me feel like my experience is no longer enjoyable and that I should find a meta class to enjoy myself. At the end of the day, you'll wind up liking the meta at some point, might not get hooked on it fast but you'll grow fond of it eventually lmao
Meta is for sweats who don't actually enjoy video games. They spend their lifeblood and energy min/maxing gear and skills, abilities, etc. rather than just play the game because it's enjoyable. Those are the sweats who've destroyed gaming by making EVERYTHING competitive 24/7 so that dudes with real jobs. Not paid to vlog video games or twitch stream. And put in 30+ hour weeks can't catch a break
@@Seawolf69 I agree with you for the most part cause I hate this intense 24/7 competitiveness of modern "gamers" who are not gamers anymore but sweatlords... when I see people complaining about non-meta builds "slowing them down" in high end dungeons I roll my eyes... I am 34 so I come from an age where beating the game was the only important thing to us... when we succeeded at beating the last big boss we were happy no matter if it was efficient or not... Now, that said, when it comes to PvP I'm sorry but beating the other guys is the main reason for doing PvP and if you're using a class that doesn't work at all (say you play with a SnS and a Bow in Throne and Liberty) you can't expect to do well and people will naturally go towards classes that will do better cause winning is more fun than losing my man... Personally I won't call you trash or flame you no matter what you play but PvP has certain rules... some things work better than others in all games... I mean even in games that meta means next to nothing like Battlefield (I currently play some Battlefield V) there are still better and worse weapons... there is the best sniper in the game and the worst one... if you pick the worst one, you'll get less kills... that's a fact... Anyway, the fact is that e-sports and "pro" gamers have ruined gaming cause every kid out there wants to be a streamer, wants to be TTV, wants to be a RUclips sensation and plays games with that goal and not to enjoy the game... also they become extremely obnoxious any time they lose because you're "killing their dream" somehow...
I subscribed to this channel due to the attention of detail content of Throne and Liberty. Ive gained so much TL knowledge due to this channel. Thank you.
Not sure if anyone thought of this but when we get access to the weapon expression update, I plan to go hard with s/s + wand and maximize the bonuses and cooldowns of Bastion and Reflect Barrier to try to turn my tank build almost into a porcupine build. What I'm hoping for is that Bastion has the option of only effecting me but cutting the cooldown by a lot. Using the passive that grants bonus damage against taunted targets I can then taunt enemies, pop bastion to make my DR go out of control, then activate reflect barrier and watch as the enemies delete their HP when they hit me.
Its the same "class" but its not the exact same cause some skills require a weapon to be offhand/main hand to fully function, just follow a guide when it comes to what to slot where.
2 questions. Would sword and shield not offset the squishy up close of crossbows? And you mentioned staffs give higher chance of heavy hit. Would that work well with great sword? I know nothing about the game just theory crafting from watching your video. Thanks
How much does your skill, reaction speed, rotation matters for PvE DPS? Can f2p outdmg non-f2p in dungeons by executing everything nicely, or is It more p2w heavy and stats just matter? As outcome of previous question, is it better go Tank SnS+whatever or DD Dagger+whatever for f2p+?
wand also gives a shield to a friendly target when you use curse explosion and your target has your touch of despair on it. you can also aoe touch of despair with the wand block. i like wand / bow more than wand / sns. i can remove any debuff or cc using the bow skills, get some extra cc, or reset a skill using blitz (can do double massive party heals xd), get extra durability from passives while still one shotting players with stacked curses and explosion and healing myself or my team. don't need crit and I can get infinite mana from mana regen instead plus enough hp and defense to survive any combo from any weapon.
I realize this is an older video but didnt see it a few i checked quickly but would wand / crossbows not be solid? you said 15-20 seconds of downtime basically between wand set ups &with crossbows having crazy burst wouldn't it fill that nicely? Looking to play the game for the first time this week & this video has helped give me ideas for set ups but was curious about something like this
I will definitely start Dagger, and then leaning into comboing with Bow. Why? I want to be as flexible as possible with 2 weapons to later lean into 3: Even though it’s not the strongest combo, the Bow makes the PvE leveling/farming bit easy as hell and Dagger is the best combo with most, so always a good weapon to pick up. This will open up A LOT of paths to settle in at the end game. Depending on the skill expansions patch. And if Bow + Dagger gets wild I will definitely stick with that. I could pickup Staff and continue Bow + Staff with Daggers as a third spec for Staff + Dagger. Maybe Bow + Dagger gets wild. I could pick up GS for GS + Dagger. Could pickup XBow for XBow + Dagger (though I am not a high APM fan and they will nerf this). Heck I could even pickup Wand to make it Bow + Wand after the skill patch to become healer if I want. Could even pick up and then deep dive SnS with Dagger and later add GS. Then drop Bow altogether for example. Seeing some of the skill patch stuff I am leaning towards Staff + Dagger/Bow. Moving while casting, blinks, stealth, with fast casting times, etc. Are you kidding me? :D. I am getting WoW frost mage duking vibes here :D. With also a chance to throw in Bow… Maybe the good old GS+Dagger when everything else fails.
Planning on trying to play it for the first time today, would you recommend shield + crossbow for an off meta pvp bruiser/chasedown build or does it not synergize well enough to say stun and burst. (Maybe stun with greatsword amd swap to crossbow?)
I naturally lean towards healing in most games. but i love playing the bow. So im kind of glad that wand and bow can go together and make a viable healing class at some point.
Bow/Wand appears to be the way to future proof yourself. Gives good DPS options and allows you to heal as well when needed. Seems many are going Bow/Dagger for DPS so Bow/Wand is a good way to differentiate yourself. If you want to actually be effective with Dagger. Crossbow is looking better. I've never liked tank so this seems like the best option to actually be useful.
Honestly, I'm considering going with Wand/Dagger or Wand/Crossbow. I like the mobility options from both dagger and crossbow, and think they could compliment the support potential of the wand. Want your opinion on that approach though. I've been keeping an eye on the game, and can't wait to hop on for it's release next week.
I've spent about 5 hours previously and didn't take to the game but going to try it again see what I think this time. I am thinking either Crossbow+Dagger or Sword+Shield
Im new i know this sound nooby but if i wanted to make a main healer does it matter what your main hand is like does it have to be wand main hand then staff or can i put staff as my main hand and wand in my off hand ?
Is there a difference to weapon combination depending on which slot they're in? Let's say you do GS/Dagger. Is that the same as Dagger/GS? Does every weapon only have 6 skills? Since I'm seeing 6 skills on the left half of the bar and 6 on the right. Makes me think that, for example, GS skills are on the left and dagger on the right. Or are there a bunch of skills per weapon and you choose where to bind them?
So the only difference between GS/Dagger and Dagger/GS is that the mastery (masteries are passives that you unlock by level up the weapon, they are different from the weapon passive skills) of the weapon that is in hand is used. That means when you use a Dagger skill you use the mastery from the dagger, and same for any other weapon. (If you have a mastery passive that gives you 20 critical hit, it is active only when the weapon of said mastery is in hand.) Every weapon currently has 11 active skills, 7 passive skills, 1 block/Dodge roll with 1 counter attack for each. You can mix and match any of the actives and passives however you like in your skill bar (Is doesn't need to be 6 GS and 6 Dagger). And you can chose one block from any of the two weapon you're equipped with.
Great guide, will probably try out the Bow + Dagger combo (the dagger seems to be broken support weapon, hopefully they'll fix it so more builds are available)
Thank you for this, it has been so long since this game has been announced for western market and I didn't follow it at all because of how long it took. Now I know what I will start with.
just download it today and cant wait to try greatsword/sns which i played for most game. But will the mechanic be different when play on PS5? can you do a video playing this game on PS5? Many thanks
i have a question, if i play for example sns/gs but later i want to try sns/wand, can i just swap the off hand and level it or is better just use another character.
so u choose 2 weapons does that mean u have ascess to all of those weapons combat skills ? that sounds like allot of skills lol or is it the 2nd weapon just adds permanent skills and in combat u use the first weapons skills ?

Very good video. Have you left out the passive skills intentionally because of the incoming update with the tree skills like LA have and you will cover all of those in anuda video?

Don’t let them try to gaslight you, bud. You’re absolutely right. It’s a huge draw back and it’s something that devs aren’t smart enough to handle.
