Bad advice. You're leading people in error. Sure, diet and exercise and lifestyle are important, but don't tell people to not get dialysis. It's a life or death situation, especially if you're stage 4 or stage 5. It's malpractice and morally and ethically wrong. Bad advice....

33 yrs old. Stage 4 CKD. I was told there is no way to reverse this. My nephrologist informed me on 2/15/24 that my GFR was 17%. I was then scheduled for dialysis class. That same day I removed all meat from my diet and had very little dairy. I completed blood work on 2/27/24. At my next appointment 2/29/24 my GFR was 22%. SWITCHING WORKED!!! I refused to accept dialysis as a condition for me. I knew that there had to be something I could do. I’m thankful that I had enough time to figure out alternatives. 22% is better but still obviously dangerously low. If you’re reading this and still have time, CHANGE YOUR LIFE! SAVE YOUR LIFE! No one can save you but you! I don’t know you but I am rooting for you ❤️

    I have a 6th thing:
Have a positive attitude! 18 years ago I was supposed to DIE from severe acute pancreatitis from 22,000 level triglycerides! All of my organs were failing and I was given 24 to 48 hours to live! The pain was so excruciating that my screams were disturbing the rest of the hospital so they put in a medically induced coma and had my husband call my parents to fly in and see me before I died. Well a miracle happened and I awoke from my "permanent" vegetative state 30 days later! And made even the doctors say the M word...lol. I was on dialysis for 4 weeks post coma, told was going to be put "on the list" 🤯 one day...went to the doc for blood test and back to diagnosis the next day and at check in the nurse looked at me funny and asked me why I was there... 🤨 so I asked her why do you think I'm here for an oil change? She said, no...your kidneys are completely HEALED! YOU NO LONGER NEED DIALYSIS! ANOTHER MIRACLE!!! THANK YOU LORD!

Check out the videos under the LIVE tab with Dr Rosansky - at 82, your kidney health will most likely be better than you think. Keep an eye on your blood pressure (keep it controlled), stay active, and focus on living a heart-healthy lifestyle. If you have protein leaking in your urine, talk to your doctor about medications to reduce or eliminate that. If you have no protein leaking - that is awesome!

If you take non steroidal anti inflammation drugs (like ibuprofen, advil, meloxicam, etc), you might be helped by stopping them. If your blood pressure is high, see your doctor and press them to help you get it as close as possible to normal (120/80). Are you diabetic? If yes, you need to make a serious effort to keep your blood sugar normal (such as avoiding food high in sugar or food high in carbohydrates).

Thank you, Dad Vice. I noticed (forgive me for this description of the alert of my situation) foam in my urine. I didn’t know what that meant . . . Plus, my back itched like crazy . . . I didn’t know what THAT meant, until Dr. Mandell posted an explanation of kidney problems on RUclips. So, of course, I started researching kidney disease for myself. Well, beloved Dad vice, I changed my diet . . . I still eat a Keto diet with intermittent fasting . . . But, I have reduced the amount of meat and fish I had been consuming and have increased my plant-based powders and whole veggies into my diet. After doing that for a couple of weeks, the foam and bubbling is gone! My back is no longer itching and I’m not urgently having to go the bathroom every half an hour or 45 minutes. I, now, can sleep for hours . . . Thank You, LORD Jesus . . . And am regaining strength. For this 75 year old woman, THAT is VERY good news!!!

@Viper-ms9eg , that isn't true. Too much protein, especially animal protein is harder on the kidneys. Everything in moderation. It's coming from those that are experts in their field of discipline and have wealth of experience, and knowledge. Dr Gundry, a cardiologist suggests to stay under 20g, if one wants longevity. I think a lot of the conflict with reversing kidney disease comes from the fact that you can not cure it or fix the damage. My kidneys are just as damaged today at Stage 3 as they were when I was first diagnosed.
I believe most don't see the difference between physically repairing kidneys (not possible) and learning to reduce the burden placed on your kidneys so that they can better keep up with you (very possible). I will have to stick to my diet for the rest of my life - but that is no problem and well worth it to live without any symptoms. I'm actually healthier than I have been in over 20 years!

All I can say is keep your diet as clean and pure as possible, no fast food, no frozen boxed dinners, cut back on sauces, dips, junk food period. Give your kidneys less to filter, keep tabs with your doctor, get your blood results, build a chart, a graph of progress. Keep your fluid in take low, avoid salt sodium salt and other sodiums and salts. Keep it simple, avoid salts.
Read labels find out what is in food, follow your treatment. Talk to your doctor, follow up with your blood work, avoid salts and sodiums. Yes I said that twice to make a point, follow up with your doctor, blood labs and avoid salts and sodium.

Best 16 minutes that I've ever spent. Thank you for the information. The last 5 years I've degraded physically due to numerous back problems. Scolios, high grade spinal stenosis, 3 bulging discs, 2 discs with no cartilage, causing the upper disc to permanently slip below the lower disc. Because of the excruciating pain I experience 24-7, exercise and motion in general, have been greatly reduced. I saw a surgeon 2 weeks ago and he said that I had the worst case of spinal stenosis that he has ever seen. He showed me the MRI and how my nerve core in the spine is completely compressed on the bottom discs. Recently, I have started having swelling and numbness in my legs and feet. It all happened very suddenly. The back problems I've had all my life. The medical industrial complex has become a joke since it was taken over by the government and I don't trust ANY doctors. I have a lot of research to do, but thanks to you, I know where to start. Cheers, Frank

Excaliber, I can relate to every single one of your back problems and I know it’s getting worse all the time. My sister was treated for her scoliosis when she was young but I wasn’t, probably because I was born with a rare birth defect and that was the only thing the doctors focused on, ignoring everything else. My scoliosis is so bad that I have Levoscoliosis AND Dextroscoliosis, meaning it’s like an S curving in BOTH directions. I’m 63 and I feel like I’m completely falling apart. I barely get ANY sleep because I’m in pain, even though I’m taking pain meds which I honestly wish I had never been given. It’s impossible to function without sleep! The pain meds are most likely causing more harm than good and I HAVE cut down a lot but not completely because I’m in so much pain. Also, I went cold turkey off Cymbalta (EVIL DRUG!) about 4 months ago but I know I’m STILL going through horrible withdrawals from it. There’s no way taper off the lowest dose (20 mg) without opening the capsules and counting the tiny little beads which a lot of people are actually doing. I didn’t think I’d have the patience or steady hand to do that so I just quit and I’m suffering bad. I HATE doctors and don’t trust them although my family doc is very anti pharmaceutical and he’s not afraid to say it. He’s also a farmer 😂. I DID NOT get a Covid vaccine and neither did he. But I JUST realized, after looking over some of my test results from a few months ago, that my eGGR was 47 and my doctor never even said anything about it 😡!! I was actually seeing his young physician assistant at the time so I’m gonna give him the benefit of the doubt for now because she didn’t catch it. I wish I had known 20 years ago what I know now, about doctors, Rx drugs, and so much more that I’ve learned in the last 10-15 years. I believe my whole life would be different now. I also have chronic Lyme disease which was misdiagnosed as fibromyalgia for years so I never recovered from that, even after long term IV antibiotics. I hope you’re doing better. I’m going to try changing my diet and doing some of the other things suggested in this video. Good luck to you.

Just focus on fresh fruit & vegetables, & much of it raw for good enzyme provision. You don’t need the fake highly processed vegan ‘meat’ products. There is plenty of protein in veg, beans, etc. but it’s protein (amino acids) that are much easier for the body & kidneys to process. Fruits, like lemon, grapes, melon, watermelon, etc are very astringent & cleansing for the kidneys.

No pork and beef just vegetables and fruits, fish and chicken breast twice a week.Super less salt .But most of the time just vegetables.I have breakfast and lunch together at 11:00 in the morning(rice, vegetables and sometimes fish or chicken breast .I make sure that I will just eat 35grams total of protein a day.I have fruits as my snack at 2:30 in the after noon and just light meal like salads and just vegetables before 6:00 in the evening..end of the meal for that day.Thats my everyday meal schedule. In just 3 months I lost 22 lbs!thats the thing I like the most!!it is so challenging, specially when I get to know the results of my blood test.If im not satisfied..I try another diet and set another goal.To keep all in balance.good luck

Great video! Totally agree. A few things that helped me big time were the following: nettle seed tincture extract - 5ml - 3x/day, astragalus 2000-3000mg raw herb per day, Rehmannia six formula 2 caps 3x/day, nattokinase 100mg/day, nettle leaf tea 2 cups per day, and 2000mg cordyceps mushroom fruiting body (not mycelium). It took 4-5 months but now I am 100% back to normal from borderline stage 3. I am kidney disease free now. My gfr basically doubled and creatinine levels dropped dramatically. Protein and blood in urine disappeared. Current creatinine score is 0.9, and gfr is 126. 35 year old Male.

Astragalus I got from New Earth Organics.
Of these I believe the nettle leaf and nettle seed tincture as well as the Rehmannia six made the biggest difference.

I love your refreshing message, which is the exact opposite of the usual mainstream health advice that we are constantly being force-fed today by the medical profession. Advanced liver disease is completely reversable they say, as is Type 2 diabetes and metabolic syndrome [insulin resistance], same with leaky gut syndrome, cardiovascular disease and a raft of other common conditions affecting a large percentage of the Western population today. However kidney disease is notably treated quite differently, and once the damage is done then there is no going back we are told; once your kidney function has declined to a certain level then your ONLY choices are dialysis/transplant/death with absolutely no other treatment options available. Thank you Dadadvice for spreading this seldom-heard message!

I’m a RN and have worked in dialysis for years. This is all good advice except for the diet and supplement advice. You’re kidneys don’t digest protein for one. Tylenol doesn’t effect kidneys. Avoid all nsaids, stay well hydrated, low sodium intake for your BP and keep your sugars down.

Being RN means you also singd the pact not to heal people by complete. Tylenol might not affect the kidneys directly, but affects the lungs . You don't even help the people get out off KD where you tell them a lie that you help them . You just break there lungs too and prescribe peg to help them soften their stools, where you lie and say you help them but peg dehydrats the colon and therefore brings colon cancer .
You should consider changing from lies to truth . You'll not find an excuse for following protocols knowing it's not the best for patients. You need to do what's right .

43 year old man here. I went to a clinic after noticing I was urinating more at night and they did a blood test, after which theysaid I had proteinuria and hematuria and told me to see a urologist. Also they checked my heart and said I had hyperlipidemia and hypertension and to see a cardiologist, and put me on high blood pressure medication. They said I was negative for diabetes which is at least one good thing. I can't say for certain that I'll be diagnosed with CKD however I want to prepare myself now in case that is what they find. Thanks for your helpful advice. The Kidney disease community is very supportive and caring which I greatly appreciate. I cut out all junk food, fast food and processed food from the grocery store. I'd like to find a list of things to buy from the grocery store every time I go. You're right that being proactive is extremely important.

My creatinine is about 5 right now and I've been doing dialysis for almost 2 months. I have hope that my creatinine will go down and my kidney function will return.

Great Video. One more important thing to add that you can work with dietitian to have your diet customized with no cost because all insurances cover this at 100% with no co-pay or co-insurance. You do not have to meet your deductible to see a dietitian if you have Chronic Kidney disease, Diabetes or over weight/obesity. All you have to do is ask your doctor to refer you to a Registered Dietitian.

Keep hoping! I helped my mother improve functionality by cleaning her diet. Limiting animal protein with occasional organic chicken or fish. Doc was surprised to see improvement from 13 to 22 functionality in less than 2 mths. Unfortunately she went back to old unhealthy eating habits. Now she's struggling with low bp due to hemodialysis. I believe she could have avoided stage 5 if she'd nourished her body healthfully. Good luck! 🙏🙏

Thank you - and you are very lucky to find out at such an early stage. A lot of what I discuss is from my journey from stage 5 to 4 then up to 3b - many of the restrictions I had at stage 4 or 5 won't apply to stage 2. My recommendation is to work with a renal dietitian - they will help you understand your labs and learn how to adjust your diet based on them. you'll also be so much happier and not over-restricting food. Keep an eye on your blood pressure and blood sugar - keep those under control. Do you know the underlying cause of your kidney damage? You'll want to work with your doctors to try and figure that out so you can manage it to stop further damage. Even without knowing your history, you have a very good chance of living an amazing life with CKD just from finding out so early and starting to look for ways to manage it. You're certainly on the right track!

@@DADVICETV Thank you for responding!! Unfortunately, my nephrologist doesn't really seem to know what is causing my kidney disease and she doesn't wan't to put me through unnecessary tests at this point. It's kind of discouraging not to know, but I understand and appreciate her not wanting her to do that, especially if everything is stable. All I can do is follow these steps, continue to do check ups, and be on top of this! Thank you for your advice!

I know it is scary and heartbreaking, but such a quick drop is most likely an AKI (temporary kidney injury). His doctors should be able to determine the cause and address it, which would bring his kidney function up to where it was. This was my problem when I was GFR 8 - I had an AKI on top of CKD. That was just over 5 years ago and I have made so much progress since then. I hope the same for your husband. He will need you to help him live a heart healthy kidney friendly lifestyle after this. Staying properly hydrated, eating healthy, watching sodium, and giving up any bad habits he may have (such as smoking). Getting and keeping his blood pressure under control will also be important. Check out the videos with Dr. Rosansky - he is a well know Nephrologist who is on here every month sharing tips and advice.

@@DADVICETV Hello TV. When my doc told me several months ago that I needed to go on dialysis immediately (EXACTLY per the open of your vid) I told him to give me time. And I did nothing. The latest GFR is 10....A slow progression. Yeah, I'm in shock. My problem was two fold. I have had a thing called interstitial cystitis (I have a book on Amazon about that.I founded a support group of 'armchair urologists' and we learned a LOT from each other!) for the last 40 years. And only one good kidney. So....lousy readings has always been there. I thought this was more of the same. I am diabetic, just over the line now. I'm 67. To date my only symptom is fatigue. Feeling pretty good, actually.
I had a growth, no-cancer, in the bladder which may have kinda stopped up the ureter (so the theory goes) which swelled up and damaged the kidney. It has been going on for some time before my docs got all their ducks in a row, removed the growth, and put in a stint from the kidney to the bladder. It was less than a week since the stint was removed that I had the last test. I'm hoping that GFR of 10 was an artifact. Long story short your vid has given me hope. NOW I intend to get busy on your suggestions. How I got here was different from you, but at some point we merged and your vid is crazy right on. Thank you for giving hope!
      Your plumbing challenged fan,
      Norm
