Great video. Thanks! 🙏
Dude this video is sooo good the research you did and putting things into perspective with the comparisons was amazing great job
Thanks a lot for this review video!
Could be great to compare the 3 cameras toughness and water sealing.
Any rumours about an OSMO Action 5?
Now THAT is the way these reviews should be done. Phenomenal work. Your manner is tailor made for this platform. Your approach and presentation inspires confidence and respect for the audience. Thank you very much.
Thanks for your kind words!
What a small and portable camera.
With the rapid and constant evolution of photographic qualities and engineering techniques in all electronic devices, if we always wait for the best to come we will never buy anything again.
And if you buy a previous generation one, you won't be badly served as a customer.
To be honest, there really isn't that much difference in video quality between the GoPro and the DJI until you get to low light situations. Then, it makes all the difference to go with DJI. Other than that, anyone shooting home movies or even indi. movies should consider GoPro. Now my biggest beef with GoPro is that both my batteries that came with my GoPro Hero 10 swelled up and died. No explosion but if I had left one of those batteries in my camera, I would not be able to get it out. Fortunately it is something that GoPro will allow you to send in for a replacement.
On another matter, even though 4K rules these days, if you are wanting to shoot in low light, consider an older camera like the Canon 70D. It only shoots in 1080 but you can take that video and upscale it to 4K. It looks just like it was shot in 4K. Just remember that you do need to right computer with at least 16 gig ram to run the upscale software. I'm on an old 2009 Mac Pro with 48 gig ram and dual cpu's. You also need a 8K graphics card as well. I put my machine together for about $600 and it is not as fast as the top of the line Mac but comes in a close second. Point being is that just because something costs lots of money, it might not financially make sense to by one if there is older and cheaper equipment out there that can do the same job but just a few seconds slower.
Most important is to mention that the best camera out there for anyone is the one you have with you. Do like me and remember to take your GoPro with you in your pocket (wrapped up in a micro-cloth). If it's too much of a hassle to shoot that way, my iPhone SE will record in 4K or 1080. But please, don't get wrapped up in equipment. Concentrate on learning how to shoot and consider an online course to improve your abilities. It will make all the difference in the long run and be lots of fun in the process. Photo clubs are also a great way to go as well.
You said those people shooting home or indie movies should consider GoPro but didn't say why. That's immediately after you agreed that DJI has better low light and before suggesting that GoPro has poor quality control. Seems like a strange recommendation.
And talking about not getting wrap up in gear is not the topic of this video.
iPhone SE takes horrible videos in every way. I would not recommend it for anyone who has a choice to use anything else.
Sorry to say this but saying "The best camera is the one you have on you" or any version of that phrase is such a cringe-worthy statement to use these days I'm disgusted at the thought that I just wrote it.
Just wondering if the 4:3 ratio on DJI cropped to vertical Reels/Tiktok would be almost equivalent to GoPros taller sensor given the wider FoV on the DJI (and less distortion)?
4:3 (or 8:6) is pretty close to a 8:7 aspect ratio. Obviously there's a loss in resolution with 4k vs 5.3k
yes if you shoot in 4:3 mode in the Osmo you can certainly crop it to vertical if you wish. It's close but 8:7 still has a slight advantage. Not a big deal for me.
Got mine last week but still looking for a silicone case, too afraid to get a lot of scratches on the body. 😅 using it for motorcycle riding.
Do they not make one for the action 3?
@@freelyroaming they do and it fits but I’m in the Philippines and all the sellers ship from overseas so it might take a week or 2. Plus i also need a helmet chin sticky mount.
I am new to your site.
how’s life?!yo. good dji~ 😇
Damn! I literally just submitted order, and RUclips recommends this .. 😂
Well if you got the Action 4 then you made the right choice!
For whatever it's worth, I bought the Action 4 & had a whole bunch of problems with it.. A long list of bugs & glitches, making the camera unusable. I have probably 8-12 different issues, everything from the camera turning itself off all the time to battery errors on all 3 batteries, screen turning orange, purple. or green tint, won't run off USB cable, says batteries are dead & shuts off seconds after it just said 80%, & a bunch of other problems. I haven't read a single person have even ONE of these problems so I'm convinced I just got a defective unit. I sent it in for warranty last week & DJI is sending out a replacement, at least.
Definitely sounds like you got a dud.
Two months ago, I bought an Osmo Action camera, since the beginning it had a focus issue. I took it to the authorized assistance, after inspection by the technician, he found that it had a focus issue, I left it under warranty, after two weeks they returned the camera without fixing it and did not give me another one. Advice, do not buy DJI brand camera, you will lose your money. Thanks
This is a well known issue with early versions of the Osmo Action 3. Plenty of videos on youtube about it. It is not an issue any more. You probably bought a camera from someone's old inventory. This advice is not one that people should follow.
@@freelyroaming I updated, and it didn't work. Manufacture date is September 2022
@@Fora-De-Casa.Mas-em-Casa Osmo Action 3 was released on September 14th, 2022. You definitely have an old inventory unit. Software updates can't really solve the focusing issue. In less severe cases it can help. It has to do with the distance of the physical placement of the lens to the sensor. My Osmo Action 3 was also purchased 2 months ago and it has no focusing issues. It was a refurbished unit and came directly from DJI. I assume you didn't buy it directly from DJI or a reputable dealer of DJI. They have replaced lots of these early cameras for people who bought them. Hence the large number of refurbished units available.
@@freelyroaming I bought it from an authorized store, assistance is attached to the store. I'm upset with the camera now, I'm going to try to sell and buy the GoPro now.
@@Fora-De-Casa.Mas-em-Casa yeah I am guessing your store isn't at quite the same level as buying directly from DJI. Not all dealers are created equal. It just means they applied to their reseller program and was approved. That's why they are holding on to old inventory and don't know how to replace it. Good luck with your GoPro.
You sponsorised by go pro 😂😂
Yeah that's why I say to NOT buy one. Perhaps you are not completely understanding the language used in this video.
Go pro sux
higher resolution is worse in low light? haha i think you need to do some research more 😀
Woah, you're kidding right? This is not a controversial topic. EVERYONE should know this: Bigger pixel = Better lowlight. When you finally figure out that you are wrong, I'll be here for your apology. But I won't be holding my breath. Sounds like to me you have a lot to learn.
