- Super simple and easy way to properly clean your mass airflow sensor or MAF sensor. This video should be the same for all Toyota 2UZFE engines and very similar for other Toyota engines and all other gasoline engines.

Thanks for this tutorial it fixed my starting problem
Love to hear it!
I would like to note that the CRC bottle specifically states do NOT use on ‘some’ 2006 Toyota / Lexus / Mitsubishi vehicles
Question: Must the MAF always be disconnected before cleaning? Looks like the previous owner of my car glued on the harness connector for some reason, probably the clip is broken. I'd hate to pry it open and possibly make things worse. I'm thinking to take out the MAF and spray it while it's still connected.
Hey! Thats should no problem. There is probably a minute chance of short circuit so to be safe I would disconnect the battery before you do if!
I got question here. My car really hesitate when i accelerate for overtaking but running well if normal driving. I find that if removed maf sensor connector my car hesitation gone. But engine check will appear and car bogging while in idle. Is this my maf sensor faulty?
If the car is running better without the maf sensor plugged in, it is very likely the sensor is sending bad readings and should be tested and possibly replaced.
This will not necessarily get rid of the check engine light, what one needs to do after cleaning the sensor is remove the negative power cable on the battery for 30 minutes to reset the computer
Thanks!
You're not blasting it with the MAF Sensor cleaner as you should . Hold it at different angles when spraying and shake it in between . I let it dry inside at room temperature for two hours before reinstalling .
Thanks for the comment! The consensus I've seen is around 10-15 bursts on the sensor. I would not want to shake the sensor, unless you mean the can? And definitely can't hurt to let it sit for 2 hours, I've always had positive results with at least 5 min, some say it is dry after 1 min. Can't hurt to be sure though!
@@cruisinwithgreg I just slightly shake it
