I too was a crew chief on this airframe. I crewed two planes, both 1958 models. (1975-78) I also got the opportunity to fly in the back seat several times. These were great airplanes. I think Lockheed and the Air Force hit a home run with the T-33s. I think the same could be said about the Lockheed C141 Starlifter. I spent almost twenty years as a maintainer on them. Thanks for the video.
I remember seeing in person a T-33 at Spring Lake Park in Texarkana Texas U.S.A on static display behind a chain link fence. I wonder if it is still there today.
In the 1960’s I used to see them flying overhead almost daily to and from our local airport in Canada. The version the RCAF used for training had red wing tip tanks.
Nice plane. The Canadian airforce still had a few of these in the 90's. They were used to simulate the Exocet missile to train the navy. I talked to the pilot at the airshow and he really enjoyed it because he got to fly very low over the surface.
My dad taught Block 5 of jet engine mechanics at Sheppard AFB in 68-70. He'd sit me in one of these when he had to go in on a weekend to prepare his lessons.
I was at Sheppard AFB mid March till July 1968. Block 5 jogged the memory cells a little. Came back and did ANG Flight line mechanics. Kept me out of Vietnam.
I was a crew chief on F-4C fighters at Davis Monthan AFB 1966 to 1970, we also had a flight of 8 AT-33's ( they had guns and weapons pylons) and were used for training and dissimilar air combat. We had to help maintain them and I laughed every year that we had to preform a termite inspection . They had plywood floors. I became a pilot and tried to buy one later but could never do it.
Quick way to tell the ex-RCAF birds is the vent on the left side just ahead of the horizontal stab. Also, the "Update" aircraft had the one-piece curved windshield and strobes on the tip tanks installed just before we made the absolutely moronic decision to get rid of them.
Nice video. I especially liked the photo in the beginning of the Sabre and the Mig. As for the T-33, good trainer, but already obsolete as a fighter before the end of WW 2. Straight wings just don't allow for Mach speeds or maneuverability.
İlk göz ağrım.Tanıştığım yıl 1978 5 sene makinist olarak çalıştım.Çok güzel günlerdi.
This was my dad's fave plane. Not the F-86, nor the RF-4C, but this one.
Beautifully restored and maintained aircraft. Brings back fond memories of the time I was a T-33 maintainer.
Thank you for your comment , I am old-timer too like you, try to get better video next time.
@@parksair7575 gran avión 🛫🇨🇱 y video 👌

Always loved the P-80 and the F-33 T-bird .

@@mchurch3905 we were probably there at the same time
I love these old straight wing jets so much! I'm a crew member on one, very very cool aircraft, unlike any jet nowadays!
Nice footage of that old bird- really enjoyed it- thanks!
yes, it's, Thank you for your comment.
The 55’ Chev Belair of the sky :)
While an Air force T-33 crew chief I was flown in back seat of a T-33 to ABQ and back for an assigned task.
Wow! you got good time. keep enjoy with T-33. Thank you for your comment.

They flew a lot of T 33s out of Offutt in the 50s and 60s.
Lockheed's Racer! Oh, back in the day.
COOL!!!!😃
is this a trainer version of the P-80/F-80 shooting star?
The wings of the T-33 will be great on a Air Tractor AT-301
Beautiful video!
Thank you very much!
Very awesome, i draw T33 Shooting star
T-33A는 기체가 페인팅에 안되어 듀랄류민으로 되어있기 때문에 폴리시로 기체를 닦을때 힘들다
wow

Thank you, unbelievable still T-33 make the flight on Airshow.
In Soviet Russia, Mig-15 swoop down and shoot T-33
Wonder what the Turks did with their fleet of T-33's?
Unfortunately the video is half ruined by the disgusting loud music coming out of the speakers. Why do organisers admit this ?? I never understood....
Yessir nothing quite like loud shit music to drown out the jet roar...
The plural of aircraft is aircraft not aircrafts. Quit with making that mistake like so many others.
Thank you for your comment about my mistake, trying to fix next time.
