I feel for the Fairy Godmother EVERY time when children asks her to make their "bad stuff" (illness) go away..
Ikr! I think if I was the fairy godmother, I would probably cry, or never stop hugging them.
Thank you for mentioning about the being human part. I think a lot of people forget that the disney cast members are only human at the end of the day. I did read online where someone was complaining about a Merida taking several breaks during her meet and greets, yet she was doing these in sweltering heat in her heavy dress. I have so much respect for those of you who've worked as disney characters and still do.
I love that you got to play jasmine she's my favorite character in disney. I loved how Naomi scott portrayed her in the live action aladdin. It made me love Jasmine more so much. She's a strong girl and I've seen the sequels I grew up with them. Then descendants came I read all the books and found out about aladdin and jasmine's son Aziz. I'm happy you got to be Jasmine she's such an amazing character.
I kind of figured there was a rule against singing to the guests. Once Aladdin said to me, "I only sing with Jasmine". lol. In one of my videos, Cinderella sang with me. She had a lovely voice.

Enjoyed watching this video. My family and I were guests of Give Kids The World back in 1999. It was a remarkable experience for my then 4-year-old daughter. She had just gone through 6 months of chemo therapy and the meet and greets she was treated to really did a lot to raise her spirits. She got to meet all her favorite Disney Princesses, including Mulan & Jasmine. She is now 20 years old and still in love with all things Disney.

Thank you for saying that about Special needs people,I'm in a wheelchair so I don't think I could apply for Disney when i'm of the age to but I still love to watch behind the scenes of Disney
My sister was a Give Kids the World child in 2010, I believe. I wasn't exactly a GKtW kid, but Make-A-Wish did send me on a Disney Cruise last year, so I still call myself a Disney kid. I absolutely loved the Jasmine in the Aladdin show on the Disney Fantasy! Jasmine is my favorite Disney Princess. I was 16 at that time, and now I'm 17. My sister has type 1 diabetes, and I have chronic late stage neurological lyme disease and neuromuscular disease. GKtW kids really are special, and you have no idea how much it means to us to get to meet and talk to our favorite characters at Disney. I pray that God will bless your daughter with good health for the rest of her life.
I know my comment is a year late, but I still wanted to let you know that wish kids really do appreciate all that the princesses do.

Had to fight back the tears!! ;o; I just finished up a job in the mental health field working with kids, and this all rings so true and hits incredibly close to home. Sounds like you made a very heartwarming impact on a lot of kids lives :)

awesome video and answers. Its so good to hear about experiences you had working at Disney. I can remember one guy who uploaded a video 'visiting the princesses while trying to get them to sing', he was a guest and when he got to Jasmine, she was on point and kept saying 'I want you to sing for me' haha such clever answers to awkward or situations like this. I have seen that particular Aladdin you were talking about in some RUclips vids and he is totally epically awesome. I love seeing him interact with guests - kids especially. and even a little girl sung to him (Aladdin) and Jasmine, it was so sweet. Hope all is going well with baby Lucas, and you are doing well too. :)

I swear I have met that Aladdin before outside of Morocco. Maybe you signed my autograph book and left a space for him, and later, when he signed he said "Awwww, she left a space for me! She such a great wife!" ^.^ That was probably on my honeymoon in 2006. CRAZY! ha ha ha!

I've always loved the characters at Disney World and always try to thank them for what they are doing and the time they make for us!! But one time, my friend and i volunteered to be friends of Anna and Elsa for a little girl's party (she was meeting up with her friends and wanted to have a Frozen party) and my friend and I were only there for an hour as friends of Elsa and Anna and when we got home, we CRASHED. we were so tired! it was so rewarding though but it took so much emotional energy out of us and it was only for an hour, how did you do it for weeks on end??? Friends of the characters are incredible!!! Character attendants too!!! Love your videos
oh the crashing is REAAAL!! I feel that!!! often, my cheeks were soooo sore from smiling and sometimes things got very tedious, especially when you're entertaining kids, it's a LOT! lol. Disney had me do a few birthday parties and honestly, they're the hardest. I feel you! I'm going to talk a little in my next video on the Disney training and you'll see a bit about how Disney prepared us for conversation. lol. it helped! xo

I have to admit as a visitor to WDW I have very high expectations of Disney Cast Members. When you're there you're immersed in this magical fantasyland and if a cast member is having a bad day and spoils the magic for you it is heartbreaking. When I'm not in WDW I can look at it differently and see that cast members are human and I may have encountered them at a bad time. Luckily that is really rare, and I find that cast members are usually very nice and helpful and caring. I just wish that the guests were still polite. I get so fustrated with how rude people have become. I'm 59 years old, so I definitely feel like I grew up in a much nicer time. We were raised to treat others the way we wanted to be treated and I was raised with morals and standards. I'm horrified by the things I see people do. Sorry for the rant, but my last trip was especially difficult because of rude obnoxious people. Every time I go (about every other year) it seems like it gets worse. People, let the Disney magic take hold of you and enjoy your time there without spoiling it for everyone around you. Disney works so hard to make the magic happen, embrace it!
Kathy Goodman I'm a 90's baby, my parents taught me manners and to treat people the way you want to be treated. And all that good stuff. It's sad that not too many people really put the time And Care into teaching their kids all that. I know i will definitely teach my kids when they happen.

i just wonder, when applying for job as a charachter in disney world, is it completely them who chose which charachter you´re going to play ?
Yes and no. She got cast as Princess Jasmine and then asked if she could be considered for Pocahontas, and the casting director said yes.
Really great video Jennifer! I really enjoyed it especially since I'm considering auditioning to be a princess one day. I do have a question though (and anyone is welcome to answer!) I'm going to Disney World very soon, and in all my years of going I've never been able to see the Mad Hatter. This time I'm going to ask when he's going to be out and about. But my question is, can the hatter ride the teacups with guests like they do in Disneyland? I thought maybe if I got a chance to see him and Alice if I could see if they would ride the teacups, and if they're even allowed to.
Hi, yeah I read on somewhere online that characters used to be able to go on rides with guests. However this was banned for health and safety reasons. Sorry.

maybe you could just make a video talking about how the dining experiences work from the princess side? and what you loved/liked/disliked about it? i remember growing up and meeting the princesses at cinderella's castle was my absolute favorite so i would love to hear your outlook on it!
