- I am so sorry I missed our Friday Prayer Circle, but it was my son's 11th Birthday and he really wanted and needed the time with me. I promise to be back next Friday! In the meantime, I canned 15lbs of Jade3 Green Beans today, and you guys wanted to hang out with me as I walked through my first canning project of the season, and the very first one back......healed. All glory to God! I hope you enjoy this and let me know down below if you have any questions for me in regards to canning green beans. I will try my best to help!

I stick with my water bath canner, I'm too chicken to use a pressure canner😂 When I was young, my parents were canning beets and got distracted by a furniture delivery. The disaster that followed scared me for life!!Lol
you are not alone. I hear that so often, especially with women at my church. I wish you could come over and I could run through a pressure canning session with you. You can do this! I promise!

I am so happy to see you back doing your canning. You were one of my first “how to” can videos and I loved every video you made. You never fail to give very important steps to safely can. I always washed my lids just because I am OCD 😂 but knowing the reason why it is a must is huge. Love you sweet sister in the Lord! ❤

I think you look so good, the swelling has gone down greatly!!! So very happy to see your feeling well enough to start to can again!!! Your doing what you love to do and it shows!!
two more weeks and I should be healed enough to get new impressions done......my temporary dentures were way too big for me. They removed so much bone with all my teeth that it changed my entire pallet. So.....2 more weeks new impressions and another 1-2 weeks for my new dentures to be made. Until then, liquid diet! LOL But it's amazing to be out of all that pain!

Glad you told us about the can lids and vermin. Mice have infiltrated my shed and I have been so paranoid about using anything they've been on. So it's ok to just give items a good washing and they're usable?

So Happy to see you feeling well enough to can. It’s okay, you do what you can, that is why we have farmers markets or stores to purchase what most of us are unable to do. The past two years we have been dealing with much wetter summers and our crops haven’t done as well. It’s been quite frustrating, so I e been going to farmers markets to get what is needed. But it works and I’m grateful .God Blessings on y’all.
I'm so very happy to see you're able to can again. I know the joy you always had from putting up your own foods. As things in life happen we just have to make adjustments to continue doing what brings us joy. May God continue to heal and strengthen you and your children. Hugs and Prayers.

Just wanted to give everyone a tip to keep the beautiful bright green color of the beans…add a zinc tablet to each jar. 50mg for pints and 100mg for quarts.

I too started using my kitchen shears to "snap" my green beans for canning, my hands and fingers are a little more tender as I get a little more older!!
