    Suttons Daze is doing a Canuary Collaboration with several other homesteading channels. It’s crazy, I was binge watching them last night and thought of you. The very first thing I canned was grape jelly from your channel, back in 2017. I’m so glad to see you back and look forward to hopefully seeing more of you. God bless 🙏🏼💞

    Heather, you are healing wonderfully! Your moving forward in the midst of your healing and just being yourself is a powerful blessing and ministry to all who take time to be a part of your channel. As someone who has worked with those having traumatic brain injuries and having complex PTSD, you are doing exceptionally well. Part of your memory issues are related to PTSD as well. When I was first triggered with PTSD I went from cooking gourmet meals to it taking up to three hours to make a pot of coffee! I could not cook at all. It took me two years to be able to start cooking again. Again, you are doing wonderfully in your healing.

      Yes. I have PTSD when driving in the passenger seat. I get spooked and startled so badly. It’s like white knuckle. Working with a therapist through it. So is Mason. He gets nauseated from anxiety in the car. We still have healing to do. 🙏🏻

    I remember your bread baking video. Also starting over as a new widow myself, I could feel you pouring your grief into that dough, pondering the newness of your new reality and drawing comfort from the familiarity of a long practiced skill. You seem to have made many strides toward finding a new normal. You're sweet and very courageous! May God continue to bless you.

    Girl, i missed you on many levels. In October i suffered a Sudden Cardiac Arrest. They had to give me CPR and Defib for about 8-10 mins. I was on a ventilator for 3 days and was fitted with a pacemaker. My recovery is ongoing. I also have some brain injuries due to lack of oxygen. I have thought about you and peeked at your channel and your facebook when i had time or felt up to it. only 1 out of 10 survive and i was that 1. The doctors said i should not be here. GOD brought me back for a purpose. I love you and i have missed you so much. I am still here for you always and forever

    I lost my fiancé 10 days before our wedding 3 years ago. You give me a glimpse at how I can grow instead of staying stagnant. I was very angry at God. I’m not ashamed to say that. Grief and loss is personal and we get through it and we learn to live with it. It’s no one’s place to tell us how we should do it. Or how we should act or conduct ourselves. Learning from others is important and I’m ready. Take care and love to you and your family❤️

      @@TheKneadyHomesteader very true. There’s only one worse grief and that’s the loss of a child. I’ve never had that nightmare come to me but I know many who have. Your MATE is part of you. I’m not the same person since Mark died. The book “It’s Ok That You’re Not Ok” by Megan Devine helped me tremendously. It also helped my daughter to understand and accept me after Marks death. The book also helped her grief because she loved him like a father. And a dear friend helped me. She lost her son when he was 10. When I told her how angry at God I was, she told me she absolutely understood. She said time heals and it does. I am no longer angry but my faith is not the same. But I don’t worry about it. I keep walking this path I’ve been given. ❤️

    I always wish I had a slow roaster like my daughters that she roasts the turkey in - so I could make tomato sauce and bone broth to can. The "funny" thing is, I got a water bath canner like yours last year and never once thought to use it for cooking. I'm in the middle of canning bone broth and dry beans for homesteader fast food! SO GLAD I watched today's video and so glad you are dipping your poor broken hands back into canning. We missed you and welcome you back so much.

    • @wendyburston3132

      Is there a special type of canner to use for cooking also. I would like to learn how to can bit have limited space so a dual purpose pot would be great

    • @iartistdotme
      @iartistdotme 2 года назад +1

      @@wendyburston3132 The electric canner is only for hot water bath canning for food like jams, pickles which are high acid or high sugar products. A pressure canner is for meats, broths, etc. and is entirely different from the electric canner. So if you want to learn to can, I would start with water bath canning for jelly, fruit, pickles. So much fun. I didn't realize that I could cook in my canner before I saw this video and sure enough, the recipe book that comes with it allows me to cook, also. I wanted to make tomato sauce (high acid produce since you use lemon or vinegar) but takes a long time to throw the tomatoes in, cook them down over low heat, then put in jars and can. I have an electric water bath canner, a steam juicer, and a pressure cooker - all space hogs! But the worst user of space is all the canned items I've made and the unused jars stored up. However, those can go under the bed, in a closet, etc. Good luck and this channel is a great one for canning and bread making. She is amazing.

    Just let it flow girl ❤️ There are so many who love you and are happy with whatever you do 💗 Do you know the foil and celery trick? Wrap celery in foil and it keeps much longer, caught that tip from the Slow Roasted Italian 😉

      Hey flavorful home. Thank you as I've nerve heard that. And I've been in the kitchen under grandma's feet and my mom's since I can remember. I learned to quilt sitting underneath her quilt frame listening to her and the 5 other ladies cackling and laughing for hours. Oh how I miss that. I learned to sew on her peddle singer cuz he eye sight was bad so she needed me to thread the needle or fill the bobbins. What a joy

      @@marcwidner7526 I’d never believe it if it wasn’t something I do myself 👍🏻 It really works, I have celery in my fridge right now from the beginning of December and it’s crisp! The ends will start to brown, but I cut them off 😉

    I came to your channel tonight looking for breadbaking and pantry filling. I subscribed because I found Christ working so obviously in the life of a wounded sister in Christ. It is wonderful seeing the healing He has given you! When I saw you lift the bowl of batter a couple of videos ago, I cried. Our Lord is so amazing! Glad I found you. :) God bless you.

    Heather I have watched your channel for so many years. You've taught me so much, and inspired me, as a wife and as a Mother. I learned how to can by watching you, I learned how to make bread because of you. When you posted the first video after the accident, I literally sobbed, heartbroken for you all. And here we are, almost a year later and I'm watching again, with tears rolling down my cheeks, but for a whole different reason. To see your smile and the glow that comes from within you when you talk about your church family and Mina dancing, you all are not just surviving, you're thriving. And I'm so very happy and grateful for it 🙏🙏🙏 I'm excited to continue this journey with you ❤
