    Yes, please for the bone broth, you are never boring~ I know you know this, but the time and canning pressure also depends on your/our states elevation charts, very important to remember when making your calculations for canning anything. I come in peace in saying this, sometimes as we can a lot, it just sometimes we forget to say all three of the things out loud. Beautiful work with your canning and very clean and a very good teacher of the ways to feed our families. 💕💕

      @TheKneadyHomesteader  8 месяцев назад +1

      absolutely! I hate talking down to folks and sometimes when you say basics, people get offended. If you are canning, you should know your elevation! Like step one. LOL I hope! Who knows! Greetings again from Ft Bragg, NC area! Heather, wait!!!! You are overlooking one of the most useful parts of your Freshtech! LoL. I carefully slide a handheld sifter down in the Freshtech and in front of the spigot. You can actually kind of push the screen of the sifter with a big spoon or something similar over the spigot on the inside to mold around it. Then, I use the spigot to pour the stock into my jars. To me, that's the best part of using the Freshtech! If you can't hold the hot jar, you can sit it in the sink below the spigot (with your Freshtech on counter by the sink) and let it fill from there. Put your lid and ring on while it sits in sink then lift to the canner. I'm currently trying to fashion alittle mesh screen for my spigot so I wont have to use the sifter. I don't know why they put a spigot on it and didn't include a built in straining device.

    *Homemade broths are always powerhouses of nutrition and love.* Love your stock recipe. Such a beautiful color. My method is so similar. I do use 3 clothespins to hold the muslin on the strainer. I do have a huge amount of garden onions I need to process somehow soon before they go bad. (Heather, if you'd like to, could you share which version Bible you use? I remember your video about that beautiful custom bible you ordered awhile back. I just want a modern version that is easier to understand.) God Bless you and your precious family. Your struggles and courage have humbled me deeply and you are truly in my prayers every day. We are getting sub-zero temps here in he N.E. in a few days. THAT is soooooo pretty! Never have done onion veggie stock. You got me wanting to can something the other day with your vid. I had a huge pot of stock in the fridge I needed to can when I got the energy. So I finally did it and got that pot outta my fridge and canned it up. Would up with 7 pork stock and 2 chicken stock. Then since I had to do another canner for that 1 qt. I decided to can some more beans to. So I got a few of those as well.
    Oh I know what you mean about that metal in your hands. I broke my foot really really bad back in Sept. and they had to put all kinds of metal in it and pins to get it back together. It took them 3 hours for it. Sometimes it's sooooo stiff.

    Thank you so much for sharing this. You made it look so easy! I’m psyching myself up to start pressure canning and broth is going to be one of the first things I try. I would love a video on the bone broth too. God bless & keep you & your family during the weather y’all have coming. ❤

    ❤😅 hi mama sorry I am Hispanic and we use mama a lot to get or to call someone, I understand your aches in your pants and your breathing. I also suffer from bronchial asthma and sodas, my son, and we’re in for an ordered arctic blast tomorrow and we’re getting things ready for my plants that I could put in and my two puppy Chihuahuas that refused to go outside and do their business so I don’t bring them in but they’re fine, take them to the vet all the time and they’re doing good. I also wanted to tell you that I myself was in a real bad car accident and was bedridden for a long time and I know how your body feels on my entire right side is damaged. I have to go in for an MRI on my heel in my ankle, my hip, my knee my shoulder everything on my right side and this was so much two years ago now and for about a year and a half I could not drive. I couldn’t even look up when I get in the vehicle to go to my doctors office. So God bless you Mamacita, that’s a sweet word in Spanish anyway to continue I bless you in Jesus name and I give him the glory. I lost my daughter 2014. She was 44 years old. Due to the Camp Lejeune Toxic Water we were stationed in Camp Lejeune for 3 almost 4 years. and her liver was damaged but that’s OK because when the god called her home, she answered by saying here I am Lord and she left, and I was very blessed to have been with her when she went home to be with the Lord, and I know she’s in heaven, she was saved. I miss her but she’s all right. I talk to her every day she might not answer me out loud. But I know what she would’ve said or answered me in return so, when I see Stu or is she something that I’m not supposed to I just look up and I tell her I know Joanne I know. My prayers have a always been with you and I’ve been watching your programs for a very long time and my heart goes out to all of you. God bless you sweetie and do know I love you and if you ever need anything from South Texas don’t hesitate to let me know, God bless you I have not put any new videos on my channel since my accident. As a matter of fact, I think my son took down some of them either accidentally or there was a reason I don’t know so God bless you and you stay safe whenever they do some kind of a surgery done on you just know when to stop ✋. my husband has had four back surgeries and he cannot straighten up very well and his neck is getting stiff so I try to work him by exercising his next time and getting him to walk a lot so keep him in your prayers. I had an awesome beautiful service here at home today and it was a blessing and has been a blessing always because I know God is with me and I know he loves me my Lord Jesus, my father, my son in my Holy Spirit three in one. God bless you darling. Have a blessed Sunday and yes, I’m watching you making your onion broth actually getting it in the jars.❤😅. please forgive me if I don’t put periods or commas or! Where they’re supposed to be long. I am 69 years old and I am old and lazy and I’m talking into the microphone. And it’s supposed to be doing all that for me but I don’t understand this brand new iPhone that my son got for me and he hasn’t taken the time to show me. I just pray that she does before he leaves because he is going to be attending Saint Mary’s university school of law. He wants to be a full powered attorney and going to politics he’s going to have his hands full. Please keep him in your prayers as well. His name is Jared, Jared Reyes, by the way, I go by Janie Reyes I’ve been married to my husband for 54 years. It will be 55 years in March so please forgive me and stop whenever you think you should stop. I love you God bless your mama.

    Darn, the cheesecloth is not available...I was too slow, haha! You always make the prettiest broth, Heather. I hope you are keeping warm and haven't lost power in this big storm. We haven't gotten any snow, just cold. I'm hoping to be canning pinto beans with refried bean seasonings in them on Sunday.

      We weathered the storm. We have over a foot of snow....maybe 18' total with the few inches we had before the blizzard. The guys are trying to shovel out the chickens now. LOL My chickens are not happy. hahaha Neither is the dog!

    I just canned my veggie broth and Caramelized onions yesterday. I would love to have 2 canners. Could have used them yesterday. But I don’t can enough or have the space to store them.
