I can’t make any donations to this woman for all her family has been through because I’m on disability and I don’t make enough for myself really. So I am binge watching her entire video lineup and liking all of them so that she can reep the blessings of that at least. I am also keeping her in those two little children in my heart thoughts every day all day long praying for her. Please join me even if you are able to make donations this is another way to bring them the right energy and the right momentum to get well after this tragedy.
Still binge watching for them 🙏💕
Me too..
Still watching, but just send a thoughtful card to her.
@@deenichols491 me too!
That's really creative, have been doing something along those lines here as well. I've really grown to love Heather's videos.
running an commenting on your playlist.. PRAYERS
Me too. That and prayer is what I got to give so that's what I'm doing.
I'm doing the same. Combined with all the others I'm sure it will turn into a big help! At least I believe it will.
Same here. God bless this family.
I don't know what kind of an impact it makes, but I'm doing that, as well. God bless this sweet young woman and her family.
God bless The Kneady Homesteader
Prayers, hugs and tissues for now, and when ready/needed, tomatoes and mallets, pumpkins and hammers.

Sorry for your Loss Heather and Family
I hope this gives you a laugh as you are recovering. I watched this video probably end of November and I finally got to go to Sam's club around that time. I bought a 10 pound bag of onions to so I could can this but when I was ready to can them I couldn't find the bag. My husband looked, my daughter looked. I looked. We all looked for two months to find the big bag of onions. Today I am bing watching your videos and cleaning out boxes, guess what I just found???! Lol, that bag of onions and it is sprouting! Haha!
An early start on the garden, LOL.
Sounds like I’ve to plant some onions! I hate when things like that happen.
I had to laugh! that's exactly the kind of thing happens to me! lol
Did the same thing - have two sprouting in a pot on the windowsill. I'm hoping for onion seeds from the sprouts, so Heather not only got me back into canning, I think she may have started my garden too. HEATHER ROCKS!!! 😀
Wife made this .its awesome
Loved your viedos first time around... but will be watching them again till we see you again when you are up and around... and it will be great review any way.
Amen
💯🌈

Canning is an addiction once you get started. Love your videos.
Watching the playlists. Prayers and God bless you all.
I realize that I cannot can french onion soup because I DO NOT have a pressure canner, so here's what I did: I made your beautiful broth and let it cool and then I put it in ice cube trays and froze it and then I put it in freezer bags and sealed them with my food saver and put them in the freezer! I can use as much or as little of this wonderful broth as I like! Thank you for the wonderful recipe! God bless!
@@leowillette7120 Um...no. No amount of water bath time will reach 240 degrees and that's what is needed to prevent botulism.
Watch for sales.....storage trash outs, yard sales and thrift stores. I got a large one like hers on sale at JC Penny for 75$ and a free smaller one on a trash out.....I can't believe they just left it behind......but I have it now.
Great idea, thanks for sharing. If and when you do get a canner spend the extra $ and get an American Canner. It's worth the extra $, the quality is great.
Leo Willette we share the same last name! Unusual. What part of the world are you
@@dianebrady6784 great tips, thank you
Revisiting, yep I still love this one. Love and hugs to you and yours.
Oh, I ordered my 1st ever pressure canner yesterday! Can hardly wait for it!!! Your videos and great teaching gave me the confidence to get it. I'm 70 yrs. young and have wanted to can for years, but was always to intimidated to go forward with it. Thank you so much!!🤗
Oh great! Hope you are having fun♡
Ok Its a year later - how many canners do you have now? I'm 74+ and have three. I have slowed down but I love having two canners going at once. Saves time. Keep on putting food back.. especially in these days.
I'm 70 also. Just started a while ago. Good luck. Hint don't try to can broccoli. You will regret it.
I started canning using a pressure canner at 78 yrs old, two years ago so please give it a go, I love it.
Pamela, I know how you feel...I felt like throwing a party for myself and my new canner! I still carry a picture of the canner in my phone. I love watching several utubers every day. Hope you have as.much fun as I have had!!
Missing Matt 💔 they were a funny, loving couple. Prayers 🙏 to Heather and all her children. 💑
Playing your videos to support you and your family. God Bless you. Praying for healing for you and your children.
God bless you Heather and your whole family. Lots of love from South Africa and lots of prayers. May the Lord strengthen you in all things.
Wishing you the best, recovery prayers for your family.
Comments were off on the tater tot Casserole video, so I'm saying it here. I watched that video at work this morning, and I have one in the oven. Looks sooooo good!
Update: it was freaking delicious 😁
❣️
God Bless Heather and her children....healing prayers 🙏 new subscriber a few days ago and watching her videos and ads 👍for her videos ❤
I have had your onion stock recipe on the stove for the past 12 hours. I keep walking by and am tempted to cann it up. Lol too soon I know but...so now I'm going to make your onion soup.
My Daughter in law stopped by and asked what the wonderful smells were. I told her chicken bone broth and onion stock.
I received pint jars, quart and gallon baggies from her for Christmas...my DIL sure knows my heart. 🥰🌹💐🌻
Wanted to stop by with hope that you're starting to get well again and sending love and prayers from the UK x
I'm rolling through your videos for support and finding out I've been looking for these types of videos for YEARS! I really wish I found y'all under better circumstances. Blessings to your family. 💛
I’m new to your channel because of the caring in the homesteading community. Great content, well presented, you’re awesome! I’m sending prayers your way.
Call me crazy but I smell onions😂
Thank you again, Heather! So good!
Prayers to you all.💕
Until 2 yrs ago, I never had home made beef vegetable soup. A new friend said it was his favorite... so I scoured the Internet in search of a recipe. I found one that is the bomb! It calls for Better Than Bouillion, which I never used before, either. Such flavor!!! Now I always keep some BTB on hand. I LOVE French Onion Soup and cannot wait to try this. All the ways this can be used later is brilliant, too.
I found your channel looking for baked beans recipe to can and now I find myself binge watching. I never thought about canning so many different foods.
I made that beef soup the other day, thinking I'd can it. It was so good I've been eating 2 bowls a day, then froze the rest. Next time. 😄 Just realized this video is 5 yrs old... LOL. Oh well...
Nice! I need more soup ideas for canning. Quick and easy dinners! Thank you!
Little Mina and the sounds of home when my kids were all little is something I miss these days. Continuing through your videos, Heather, and supporting you in prayer through the days ahead❣️
Oh my. I juss ordered my canner today.. I AM SOOOO EXCITED.
YAyy!
I LOOOOOOOVE this soup on chilly rainy days!! Just warms you up on the inside.
Adding a little honey will caramelize your onions without adding so much butter
Good to know
Or sugar.
I know this has nothing to do with THIS particular thing you're doing, but I wanted to share with you, what I happened to can up today. My husband and I had stir fry last night, and of course, these days, I sit and think about WHAT ALL I can can up! lol. . I look at all the ingredients that I'm cutting up, and wonder. . What would Stir fry Veggies be like, with my soy sauce liquid in it? Knowing that I can thicken it all up, after I heat it to serve~ . . Next thing I know, my husband and I are chopping up a BUNCH of stir fry veggies, so I can blanch them all before I jar them up, and put on the Soy Sauce liquid. They just came out of the canner, and THEY SMELL HEAVENLY! lol . . Now I can't wait to try them out, and see how they did! I'll do a follow up with you, after I do! :) Thank you for inspiring me to do all this stuff!! lol LOVE your channel!
Love your video!
About 40 years ago at a restaurant I used to work at we served French onion soup and the customers went crazy for it. It was very similar to yours except on the top you would add a slice of mozzarella cheese a slice of Swiss cheese and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese and put it under the Broiler till melted and crispy. It Was divine!
you know, i wish more and more restaurants would serve this. It really isn't hard or costly to make. Much easier than a chicken pot pie soup!
Oh yes, I remember those days. The place I got it used to put smoked provalone on top and serve it with a side of chopped bacon and cheddar topped potatoes wedges. Oh yes, that was so yummy. Haven't had those in many many years, might need to do that soon.
@@TheKneadyHomesteader so true. I think way back then it was $5 or $6 dollars for that combo. But it was so nice with a bottomless tumbler of sweet tea or pop.
A perfect choice of soup for canning. French onion soup takes so much time. (I get the onion well caramelized and browned). I would prefer to have it all done once and enjoy it for a long time.
12:03....OMG, I am getting old !!! My eyes are not what they used to be. I was staring at the water in the canner, wondering why you put a white rectangle of something in your pan when I finally realized it was the reflection from your kitchen light !!! lol !!! I thought you could laugh with me !!
+Vicki Olson hahahahahhaa i have done that before while watching vids!!!! Hahahhahaha
Great video. I'm going to collect the ingredients and try your recipe. 😃 G-D Bless and mend quickly. Amen
Look into stainless steel stockpots, we love ours. I'vemade many a batch of chili for a family of 5 weekdays and 7 on most weekends and once or twice a year 9.
I made this today! I followed every step! I was hoping to have some left over for lunch after canning, but did not! But I got 7 quarts! Thank you!
This looks so good and I bought a 50 pound bag of onions. I got then f I r 16.00 and so I got the big bag. Now I need to use some of them. Onion soup and onion jam will put a dent in them. Then I will dehydrate some of them. I didn't have luck with growing them this year they were small and so I peaked and froze them for roasts.
Can’t wait to try this!
This sounds so good!
This recipe sounds delicious. Thank you and heal fast. Love and prayers!
I agree with you about pressure canning...it's SO much fun...seeing a counter top full of jars filled with delicious home made stuff is so rewarding!
Whosteshire sauce...hmmm...gonna try that in mine, sounds delicious!
I love making condensed cream of soup too. My pressure canner is almost as precious to me as my kitchen aid. I cannot wait to try this recipe!
I'm thinking about purchasing one, any recommendations? What to get or NOT to get lol
We always get a huge onion crop every year, so I know what I’ll be doing with a lot of those onions! Praying for you and your family ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
Thank you for this recipe, I have wanting to know how to get the dip for my beef sandwiches. Thanks to you I can make my own. You are so smart. I love hearing your children in the background, stay safe
I am also impressed that you can do this and keep your composure! I am quite the site when I cut onions!
I just made it and in the pressure canner as I’m writing this! Thank you for sharing!
To the broth recipe I always add 2 cups of a good dark red sweet burgundy wine. That puts it right over the top...imho. I then serve it with Grier cheese baked and melted over the top....
YUM!
I use a dry red wine.. it's not French Onion soup without it. Lol. I have to say that I think I'll make a batch her way to use as a jus in the ways she was saying she used it in. Great ideas!!
Thank you for your interesting video... I discovered French Onion Soup when living in Europe... so good! I think I would put two or three times as many onions in each jar though.
I made this last night. I add two tablespoons of cooking sherry...it definitely made added more flavor. I'm making sourdough bread to go with it. Thanks for sharing Heather.
Thank you..🌻
Such a busy home! 💖
it's never quiet here 😆
Finally got around to making and canning this. I used Red Onions and it is wonderful. I did the same, canned 7 quarts and had the rest for dinner with some crusty rolls. It is raining and cool tonight so it was perfect!
Yum!!
Boy do l miss canning l just can’t do it any more if l would not have gotten my hip replacement l would be able to god bless
🙏❤🙏👵
Praying for you and your family.
No matter how long I have been canning, I still learn , and you have been an inspiration to me, I always can something soon after enjoying watching what ever it is you can, LOL... You are a delight, and I absolutely love you and your family. Keep up the great videos, and take good care of yourself ...
Soup is cheap to make an can compared to buying, the price of store bought soup has gotten rediculous...more bang for your buck canning it yourself.
Looks so yummy, but I must admit my favorite part was hearing your little one laugh. That is the sound of angels! Love it!
You inspired me to make and can this with my daughter yesterday, and let me tell you it is delicious and so easy to make. Thank you so much for sharing.
This looks WONDERFUL!!!! My kids tell everyone my secret ingredient to everything is spit LOL
hahahah grosssss
@@TheKneadyHomesteader gross yes but very funny!
very good video I could understand the process clearly, very informative
I'm in the middle of making this right now. CANT WAIT for the final taster!!
+Erin Metzger let me know what you think!!!!! :D
Heather, this is AHHHHMAZING. Big hit with the husband too.
WOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh this makes me so happyyyyy! :D Now, next time you make loose meat hamburgers, dump a jar in! LOL
So cute to go back and see the little Mason. . Can't believe I have watched you for 5 years.
I use orrington farms soup base, it is in powder form, works best for me, the tones stays more cloudy
Perfect bread for Onion Soup
I love hearing your voice and can't wait for you to be able to bless us with your recipes again.
Looks really good. I’m going to try and can some. Thank you for sharing.
This is awesome! I made it this fall and it is so delicious! I will definitely be canning this again. Thank you so much for sharing.
This is a staple in our house! So happy to hear you enjoyed it as well 😁👏🏻
I made another batch today and it is also delicious. Everyone should try this! Thanks again
I love your video and that towel is awesome.
Enjoying your videos today! Wendy🐞🐝🧚♂️
I made a very small batch of this yesterday. I can't tell you how good it was. Lovely lovely lovely. When I'm not so busy I'm going to make a couple of batches. There are just two of us and I'm going to cancel half pints because some of my recipes call for four or five ounces. Tomorrow we will be using the rest of what I made and didn't use for lunch. My goodness what a wonderful recipe for my binder. Thank you thank you thank you. And I still love your wedding ring.
Came out wonderful!!!!!
I hope you are making tons of money from youtube because you deserve it. Love it
Hahahaha I make enough to treat my kids! I could make a lot more, I suppose, but I dont do anything youtube tells me to do and I refuse to partner with any company. 🤣 I enjoy my freedom and not being an infomercial channel. 😂
good for you
I know the video is from 5 years ago, and you might not read this but gosh this looks good! I have 50 lbs of onions coming and am definitely making this soup for my pantry! Thanks Heather!
That is awesome! I hope you love it like we do!
Made and canned the onion soup. Oh Wow was it great. 7 qts on the shelf and supper!
Ty for sharing!!! Yummy! Amazed at how frugal you are!! Absolutely love watching you!!!!
that looks so good. will be sure to can some of this. thank you. enjoy your videos.
Just made and canned French onion soup following your recipe. Had some left over to have for supper. Absolutely delicious!! Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful recipe. The A-1 Steak Sauce was just what "the doctor (cook) ordered." I am retired and have extra time so I have been watching RUclips homesteader videos to learn more about canning. I am enjoying stocking my pantry with lots of homemade & home canned foods.
that is awesome!!!! way to go!!!!! :D
Definitely going to try this recipe! My favorite soup! God Bless you Heather! 🙏🙏💔💔😢
This is soooo good, I've already made about 3 batches of it. Thanks so much, Heather - really appreciate all your knowledge and time you've shared with us through the years!
Hello! I’m a new sub, and will be learning to can soon. For carpel tunnel, see a corrective chiropractor and they will check your neck. That’s the part that controls the hands and arms and could need adjusting. 👍
Can't wait to try this!!
This looks so yummy! Will probably be the first recipe I can! Can't wait to see more of your videos.
I have carpal tunnel in my hands even after two sets of surgeries over years. I also have osteoarthritis in them and with my post polio syndrome causes cramps, severe spasms and nerve tics like dropping and flinging things to the floor. I sew and quilt for hobbies and I go through a lot of needles and pins. You are way more brave than I am. You are my heroine, girl. That toddler sounds happy and cute. I take things one day at a time and am thankful to still have some abilities of which I try to make the best. Peace and health and happiness for the year. Bless you and yours’!🙏🏻🎼💐😘
Awesome!!!! On my list to make!! Thank you!
Super mom !! Canning, making bread and dealing with kids. Great job
Can't wait to can this later this weekend. Thank you for all you do Heather. Continued prayers for your family
Making this today for the coming winter. Thank you for posting. This looks heavenly.
Oh my goodness ❤️ I love French Onion Soup. I plan on making this for sure.
It's cold and rainy here in SoCal today, so I made up a huge pot of this yummy soup. Gonna can up the leftovers later tonight! Thanks for sharing!!!
I made this today! Got a great price on onions. I have to say that this broth is to die for!!!! I was glad there was a little broth left over so I could sip on it!!!! Thanks for all your help and ideas!!!!
hahaha thats my fave part too!!!!! if you make Philly Steak and Cheese subs, you can use the broth as the aus jus dip!!!!! so good!!!!!
...What bread recipe was that, Heather?? Where can I find it??
