Hey John, thanks for putting that together and congrats on the hard work result.
Looks like great fun! You guys aren't mucking around, got some pace there...
    Cheers from Australia.
    Good one mate!

Thanks for the kind words, and thanks for taking the time to follow our progress all the way from the other side of the world! It was a solid first outing, but we've got some catching up to do to run with the fastest guys. Going to try out something different on the rear suspension next week so stay tuned for that...

Another question. IFR or idle transition tuning. If you have a bung for an oxygen sensor. Bring the rpms up to just below the point the primaries start to trickle. Hold the rpms stable and look at your air fuel ratio. If its lean. Go up a thousands on the idle feed restrictions and rerun the 1700 rpm or so test.
Holley ships their carbs with 0.031" idle feed restrictions because they computer flow bench test every carb. That is the right size for a 327 to 335 engine. Too lean for a 355. Those need a 0.032". Primary IFRs

Good advice! This carb is a custom unit from JDR Carburetors specifically for running E-85 on a B mod open motor. Besides the basics of changing jets to account for weather conditions and making sure float height and idle screws were correct after rebuilding it, I've had to do very little to the carb to achieve good driveability.

Question. If running an ignition box. Do you know about running a ground cable from each head to the same place you ground the ignition box thick black wire to shorten the spark return path on the negative side. The spark does not just vanish into the heads. It has to make a complete circuit.

Makes sense - we run an HEI ignition in these B mods. I run the ground cable for my ignition directly back to the battery.
