2 guys! I love what you guys do on this channel! Helpful is an understatement. I have a question, i am in California and i am looking at a truck in Washington and Texas. Is it possible for me to get in touch with a mechanic to perform a pre-purchase inspection and oil analysis in my place? Is it a good idea? Please if you get a chance can you do a video on no response to throttle, totally random, lose engine brake at same time, this happens for a few seconds then truck goes back to normal

Sachs aftermarket clutch is the same as OEM but without volvo signs on them. But it isn’t supplied to US officially

I randomly read a job ad where it mentioned that their trucks had this exact transmission, and that they were the "safest" on the road. I guess that was to lure job applicants in.
good video. but it is not a failed transmission. it is failing clutch cylinder, clutch, and flywheel

With my dads Ishift it struggled to leave gear at times. When you press on the brake pedal it’s suppose to disengage and go into neutral it failed to do it the one time and broke the output shaft. And almost caused a wreck truck was surging forward into stopped traffic and my dad had the brakes to the floor.
Yikes! Scary situation never heard or seen that happen. That bill escalated quickly! Hope all is well thanks for watching & keep on truckin 🤘🏽🤘🏽
@@thatdieseltech4666 this happens back in 2014, what Volvo did was Reprogrammed the transmission, and the truck sat outside at volvo for 5 months. The truck never ran right again. I hope it got scrapped lol

Clutch, clutch actuator, & clutch control valve along with the steel braided line suppling air from valve to actuator 💪🏽.

Hi guys, am from zimbabwe and we have a Volvo FH V4 truck, it keeps sending the message clutch malfunction, what causes that and how do we solve this problem, we changed pressure plate, clutch plate, solonoid Valve, thrust bearing, was there other any other things that we were supposed to change again and which part, ? Why haven’t you talked about the brake pedal switch? That will trash a clutch by giving bad signals to the actuator

i have a 2003 Freightliner 3 peddle auto shift. the driver said it started sounding like the pto was engaging, 20 minutes later the clutch appears to have went out. the thing is the truck is not equipped with a pto. should i pull the tranny & put a new clutch in? is there an Y,X shift issue? thank you for any info you can provide
I would drain the oil in the transmission & inspect for shavings.

Hello. Nice covering of issues. I have a error “neutral position not secured” truck wont physically engage in D or R. Truck won’t move at all, and when in D won’t accelerate. Any help I appreciate. Thank you
@truckyoo So the ishift operates on air . When you turn your key to start truck you are not starting the engine . Basically your starting the ishift . The computer won’t let you start truck if the neutral switch isn’t detected. You can figure it out like I did. I had to learn everything myself and I suck at trouble shooting but I was due to being broke
If you have low air it won’t start. If it’s under 20 psi your fucked . Buy a small 12v air compressor car tire emergency. There’s a tire valve on the fire wall of truck near bypass (air lines) fill that up and it’ll start. There’s also one on the tank underneath the truck on passenger side in rear .
#1Check your wire cable from shift through seat to floor. It can break inside from your fatass because it’s between frame and your seat.
#2 check for leaks , top of tranny leaks at fittings, check front air bags for leaks , usually the leveling valve leaks because old o rings.
#check for all air leaks basically

I-shift transmission, 630000 mi, stuck in intersection. Won’t engage fwd or rew. Towed the truck to delivery, than towed the truck to shop. Clutch and shifter replaced $5100.

Will it have a faulty code?. I just changed mine last year. And right now I have the issue the accelerating pedal sometimes won't work. J brakes won't work. Nor down shift. Don't have no faulty codes

I purchased all injectors for a Volvo D13 2015 VNL 670 aftermarket and I already have some got out what ridiculous about that is waiting for the warranty people to send the money back because of their aftermarket products I had to wait 6 months for the injectors that were warranted

Hi guys, I'm having error codeP10AE, which seems very similar to this one. I thought I may have parked my truck on a slight incline in gear. The air leaked out and truck did not want to start. Aired truck up with air compressor and it will start but it still seems like it is stuck in gear. Gear selector seems to work but I can't feel the shifts between R N D M. Also, the truck will not rev in neutral. I found TSB K64554358 but not a solution as I can't drive truck to service center. Also, I did jack up the drive wheels and they seem to spin freely, so I think the trans is in neutral but won't rev due to error code. Code persists after disconnecting batteries. I don't have PTT.
What did you do to fix this
@@timc8570 Hey Tim, its been a while, but I believe I did a battery disconnect for hours, then selected neutral before starting the truck and the truck's air compressor. Never, ever, turn off the truck in anything but N, in my opinion.
The driver caused this issue. He held the truck using the throttle instead of the brake. Heating the flywheel tells you that.
That's why hill start assist is important if you put drivers in trucks, especially if driver is a noob that's not paying attention to what he is doing
