    By the way, the pre eagle valve covers do, in fact fit on eagle heads. I just tested it, plus the guy from Reignited does it all the time and he's a Dodge tech.

    • @TheTazzman1968
      @TheTazzman1968  Год назад

      Ok.. if you measure the height of the valve cover of the earlier gen3 5.7/6.1 with the eagle there is a difference . It allows more room for the rocker assembly. The rocker assembly sets higher on the eagle heads this is why the valve cover have the double humps.

    Hey Al, I am between a rock and a hard spot with my eagle swap. I am running a 2007 Ram 1500. Bored/stroked/cammed short block. 2013 eagle heads. I did get all new pushrods, .070 cometic head gaskets, Mr. Gasket aluminum eagle valve covers (they bowed up in the middle when installed - I have bene told the Mahle valve cover gasket will fix this). My issue is I need to run the Holley Sniper intake. I don't believe it will clear the truck accessories. I have a car timing cover, and I plan on using the Holley 97-347 alternator relocation bracket. I'll make new lines for my a/c compressor. Looks like the car water pump is different - no fan clutch drive on the WEP pulley, and water outlets look to be in a different place. I know that means I assume that means I will have to run an electric fan. Am I going to have to do some hose routing magic with my radiator? Anything else I am forgetting?

    • @TheTazzman1968
      @TheTazzman1968  Год назад

      Not off hand.. we went a different route when we did the one in Ethan’s truck. He wanted to keep the alternator and a/c in the same location, so we went with a OCP intake from MMX.

    • @HellmuthsHotRods
      @HellmuthsHotRods 5 месяцев назад

      All I know is the pre eagle engines are 340 hp. The eagle engines are 375 or 385 hp. It may be slightly apples to oranges but a 40 horse potential gain is cool. Plus, if it bumps the compression, that helps a lot too. And if I was doing a head swap, I would do headers. Aw hell, throw a cam in there while it's tore apart. Damn, here I go again.........

    So, I wanna put eagle heads on my pre-eagle HEMI. I believe with stock head gaskets id be running around 11.75/1 compression. Id like to run 91 pump gas. How thick head gaskets would i need to drop the compression low enough to run 91 pump gas? Also, i would imagine with factor gaskets i would use pushrods for an eagle hemi, but with a thicker head gasket would i need to run custom pushrods to make up for the thickness? Or can the lifters compensate for the pushrod length? Just wanna make sure i get all my ducks in a row before buying parts.
