Those aren’t mortal hands actually. These hands have been blessed by a power greater than ours for sure and I’m an atheist, so for me to acknowledge that means what we are experiencing is truly remarkable. I rarely listen to classical music apart from the odd piece I enjoy but don’t really understand why. However I can honestly say I could listen a whole day to their music and not want to switch off. I can barely believe what I’m witnessing. All of this amazing splendour and no batteries required. Imagine listening this music in full analog…..wow.
You know its a good rendition of the Waltz of the Flowers when they give that proper pause at the climax of the piece before the end. That small moment of silence between those two parts.
PaintDanceLive lol the early days? Lol this particular harp is spread out because it's made for 2 people. The glass harp was invented in the mid 1800's. Those were the early days.
@@user-jz3vc9kd2j What PaintDanceLive is referring to is Glass Duo's beginnings on youtube vs their more recent videos where they cluster the glasses closer together.
Even without a proper sound studio it's simply incredible. Just think how sweet it would sound under a controlled environment with even mic spacing and mixing. The glass harp is so underrated as a musical instrument. The tone is so rich, it sould be required in every orchestra.
I heard, they have yet to come close to synthesizing it. There have been some few attempts, but they could not duplicate the rich tones and quality. It just ends up sounding like pipe organ.
Spellbinding...The 'Flower Waltz' performed in glass harp radiates the finesse, the dynamics and the beautiful musical lyrical melody. The sound waves in physics vibrate beautifully through this medium. KUDOS to the artists!
Dieviska muzika...Ypatingai klasikos kuriniai skamba lyg sukurta taurems.Fantastika.
I’d go up there thinking I’m all cool being able to play songs on wine glasses and I’d get to it and try to rum one of the glasses rims but instead, miss and knock it over lol
If you were to add a harp into the mix it would be quite incredible - to prove that theory I put it to the test by previewing these artist's performance of J.S Bach - Toccata and Fugue in D Minor and played a clip almost in sync the performance of Amy Turk on harp playing the same piece - it was haunting and ethereal.
They vibrate each glass with a wet finger. Glasses are tuned with the exact amount of water (and size of the glass) to produce each note. After that you just need to know which note is which glass, and have a consistent touch.
It doesn't even sound like it was played by mortal hands; it sounds like the chiming of frost-rimed faerie wings~ Absolutely ethereal.

Such beauty can only come from the Creator ❤
Almost metaphysical!

I would love to listen to all Christmas carols played like this, it sounds so crisp just like snow and icicles. ❄️❄️❄️.

Words escape me. What beautiful music, technique and artistry! All I know is I had nine minutes' worth of goosebumps listening to that. Thank you!!!
Absolutely magnificently played by two very talented musicians.
It's interesting to see a video from earlier days when the glass harp was so spread out. What an outstanding performance! Talk about precision, wow!

This must be the result of a LOT of practice!
No words to do it justice - Wonderful? Fantastic? These words are really inadequate.
My favorite musical piece in all the world. Made even more magical by these virtuosos!
This was a beautiful rendition, I was so excited to find out that people can actually make music with wine glasses. Bravo

Without words...there is no one to describe the beauty of your art...thanks a lot for sharing. Jim
Some of my favorite music now
This really does wonders for my soul whenever I listen. I think the piece lends itself so well to this instrument!
Bravo, that intensity 👏👏
You are both talented. You can play any music you like. Please feel free to make more.
Beautiful sound. Love this new instrument very much.
A- Mazing. I am speechless and that does not EVER happen.
The power of music is unreal!!! This is sublime....
Absolutely fantastic.

Yes. A controlled environment like a sound studio. Without the coughs, sniffs, snorts, crashing chairs, etc etc.

Absolutely beautiful. 🤗🎶🎶🎶.
It's great how it's done with glasses and it really does soothe your mind so relaxing

Felicitaciones, realmente hermosa interpretacion.
Varázslatos!!!!
Masterful! Thanks for sharing.
Hermosamente alucinante melodía 😊
very beautiful!
this is very good They need to now compliment the shows with visuals as well
They don't need visuals. In fact visuals would take away from their performance. Their talent alone lifts me into a higher plane of consciousness.
"The idiot" that did not like it was a thirsty one, maybe a hangover reaction :)
Just a very stupid person that can't see amazing talent when it's right in front of them.
Meraviglioso!!!!
I’d go up there thinking I’m all cool being able to play songs on wine glasses and I’d get to it and try to rum one of the glasses rims but instead, miss and knock it over lol

Superbe !
"Did you spill my pint?"
"I doubt it, mate"
I Can scarce breath!
❤❤❤❤❤❤....
lol think of how long it takes to tune this...
Does it work only whit water? doesn´t it with wine?
Andrés Julián Camilo Monsalve nonalcoholic wine
it sounds like Benjamin Franklin's "Arominca" beautiful!
I keep thinking, Swiss bell ringers.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
impossible is nothing!!!
im not understanding how this works
