Well it is said that embracing the frenzied flame brings peace to the mind, especially to those who were suffering beforehand. The frenzied flame burns away all pain and suffering and leaves you with only chaos. Midra here probably suffered more than almost anyone in this world. So when he embraced the frenzied flame, he must have felt indescribable relief and freedom from his torment. No wonder his movements look so joyous and relaxed.
May chaos take the world! Also, something cool I noticed. How the entire song is all conflicting chords and weird chromatics, just for the end to be a single, solemn voice. Much like how the philosophy of frenzy flame is to burn everything down into one.

Its weird how i didnt make any connection between madness enemies and the frenzy flame until I've seen the flaming head. Definitely the best moment from the DLC for me since I've chose the Frenzied flame ending the first time and it made me say WTF with a grinn on my face.
I think one of the best parts about this boss is that even when you approach the old man, you can still leave, there is no fog wall even after you hit him. You don't HAVE to kill him. He has endured long enough. You did this.
She told him to "Endure", little did he know, he was played from the very start, a foolish and naive arcanist. Forced by a promise to endure so that later on his "unjust" feelings of suffering would be enough to power the Flame of Frenzy.
When I listen to this song, the feeling I get is that this is all just one big mockery. For example being a “lord of frenzied flame.” The way the song just announces the presence of chaos is a clear indicator. It’s as if it’s saying “you want a lord? Welp, here were are! Now come and dance with us!” In reality, chaos doesn’t adhere to any structure or hierarchy, it just wants to burn it all down, but it’ll certainly “play along” while doing so.
The way the chaotic pre-chorus melodies at 4:50 shifts into a singular chorus at 5:25 is so fucking perfect. It truly encapsulates the emotions of Midra and how much of a threat the Lord of Frenzied Flame is.
03:34 I can hear some kind of recurrence of the melody played by the frenzied flame merchant's before meeting the Three Fingers. It isn't very obvious at first, but I don't think it's my imagination. Also the choir kinda follows that old melody in some brief parts.
i remember i was trying to get to the cerulean coast and somehow ended up here lol, such a cool and memorable area. same goes for midra obviously, actual peak.
When I saw the Frenzied Flame ending I was like "If I fought that, I'd crap my pants." And I crapped my pants. Also it's my favorite DLC boss theme besides the final boss. It sounds like madness.
Its kinda scary to think about this fight. You accidentally stumbled upon a manse in the middle of the abysal woods which is already scary enough. Then you relize the litteraly lord of frenzed flame is just chilling and you HAVE to kill him cause if not might dest4oy the world.

Its weird how i didnt make any connection between madness enemies and the frenzy flame until I've seen the flaming head. Definitely the best moment from the DLC for me since I've chose the Frenzied flame ending the first time and it made me say WTF with a grinn on my face.
How on earth is that even possible
@@CarlNiemi I really dont know why it didn't click
Which flame are the most powerful lore wise?? Frenzied flame black flame giant flame? Monk flame or messmer flame?
Im not sure but frenzy being able to destroy the entire World is pretty strong
0:00 *SPOOOOOOKY MOOOONKEEEY*
Lmao now I can’t unhear it.
It’s so nice that fromsoftware made us our very own boss music.
Best upload of this track thus far; doesn't have the skip near the end of the song.
I think one of the best parts about this boss is that even when you approach the old man, you can still leave, there is no fog wall even after you hit him.
You don't HAVE to kill him. He has endured long enough.
You did this.
He was named wrong. Instead of Midra he should have be called Peakdra.
Does anyone know what that sound is at 3:12
It belongs to an instrument known as the "I have absolutely no idea"
Maybe the african rain instrument
i remember i was trying to get to the cerulean coast and somehow ended up here lol, such a cool and memorable area. same goes for midra obviously, actual peak.
Did not expect the bass drop for phase 2
Bloodborne OST is Elden Ring
When I saw the Frenzied Flame ending I was like "If I fought that, I'd crap my pants." And I crapped my pants. Also it's my favorite DLC boss theme besides the final boss. It sounds like madness.
Bloodborne sountrack got mixed up with this i see.
One of my faves from the dlc
Best fight since Ludwig
"I am the lord of chaos "
"NO IAMTHELORDOFCHAOS"
Its kinda scary to think about this fight. You accidentally stumbled upon a manse in the middle of the abysal woods which is already scary enough. Then you relize the litteraly lord of frenzed flame is just chilling and you HAVE to kill him cause if not might dest4oy the world.
Peak of Gaming Music, Elden Ring peak of gaming ❤🔥
gives me dark waltz type of vibe. Like a waltz from hell. i love it
Me: The Yellow Flame of Frenzy is bad. No one should ever use it.
Me: (Hears this track)
Me: MAY CHAOS TAKE THE WORLD!
I’m intrigued by the similarities between the character designs of Messmer and the ever-brilliant Goldmask.
5:24 best part imo
I was actually disappointed by this fight, I though Midra would pose a challenge but I beat him first try in under a minute
Bleed build
This OST is the closest we will ever get to a Bloodborne 2 OST
3:12 / 3:54 absolutely MASSIVE chills. This OST and fight are truly something else, and to think of how easy it is to miss it all. Let Us Waltz into Madness.
I think the only reason why this fight is peak is because of the fact that I’m literally just fighting a ball of flame on some old guy’s head
This Is my favorite boss of the DLC! What a fun fight
honest to god this boss fight was so refreshing after all the other bullshit fights
Imo the only bs fight was Radahn, and he was the last one I fought
Actually no, the Dancing Lion gave me frame drops on the xbox series s, as well as the camera. I still thought he was alright, but he was so much harder than Rellana but for all the wrong reasons
@@bombthing that guy on a pig honestly was worse than the dancing lion
@@bombthingdon't forget golden hippopotamus camera is a literal war crime
@@camarobro1897 My brother in Christ, YOU control the camera freely and can toggle it anytime.
@c0n33r yeah, and you've lost speaking rights
most evil ost in elden ring, I love it

Gives me some biiiiig Bloodborne Vibes!
In fact, the whole Area all of this play's in gives me massive Bloodborne vibes and I think it was intentional since Miyasaki and his team all want to do something with Bloodborne....
but Sony's a bitch and says no.
*Until all are one again.*
The theme playing at 3:44 is the same you here beneath the capital, give me chills every time
A man chosen by the gods against his will, left as the sole survivor of a tragic purge, rejecting his place as Lord in suffering hopes he could keep the frenzied flames buried with him in his hobbled tomb of a manor, alone. Enduring. Enduring. Always enduring.
But he has endured, more than enough.
The dungeon and boss fight were so peak, the area before that though......not so much lmao
The buildup with the "don't let them see you" had so much potential too
Mmmm I love rats and empty space and rats and empty space and stealth sections and rats
Anyone else getting bloodstarved beast vibes from this?
did anyone else notice The Song of Despair woven into the song?
