I formulated an oil heavy bath bomb and it gives me around a 45 minute work time. I found especially working in a humid environment oil heavy mixture is perfect.
Thank you so much for this amazing informative video!! 👏 I love in North carolina and my house is multi level with the vaulted ceilings and I have dehumidifiers all over my house along with my A/C running 24/7. This is such a real issue. Lol This video is the best video I have ever seen!! Thank you for this!! 😊
Glad it was helpful! I find that this video is probably one of my most underrated videos (as far as helpful information). I swear I post a video thinking "this is going to help people tremendously- they're going to love it" & then the video tanks. On the flipside Ill post a video & think "OMG this is such a silly video - people already know this, it's nothing new & I'm not teaching them anything" & wouldn't you know that video will blow up!
Thank you for such great tutorials, i love your videos! Could you tell me in grams the amounts of powders please, i've got no idea about amounts in terms of cups, thank you xx
Thank you so much for all your information I just made 20 bath bombs and some where falling apart in my hands ✋️ but all this information I can now fix them all thank you again
I hope you see this, Dora!! It’s such a trip, was just getting overwhelmed studying this video wondering if I can do this or if I should keep working on my business plan at all… you gave me a sign!!! I’m sticking with it because, your “key” has my address on it!!!!! So crazy!!!
Thank you for this video. I have a recipe that includes powdered goats milk. It makes the bath feel amazing…silky. The first time I made the recipe, the bath bombs working perfectly. Granted they are to big in my opinion. I used a 3” round mold. Going forward I will use smaller ones. Months later these bombs are obviously rock hard/dry, but still don’t float. I think they are just to big. I have made my recipe 2 more times with no success. They wouldn’t hold together. Watching this video I think it was the witch hazel. So I took the mix broke it all up and sifted it. Then poured it into cute tubs and sold it as a foaming milk bath. Same effect of a bath bomb, just not a ball shape.
I made some today I wish I could send you a photo.... They were so pretty time I passed back I could not believe the shit I just made 😩🤧🤣🤣🤣. They swell like those little tablet napkins
I just found your channel and you have saved me.. lol 2 boos boos in 1 day.. my bath bomb mix exploded in the bowl and I have 1 that won't float.. so now foam no fizz.. just bubbles on top of the water.. 😂 they smelled amazing though.. 😅
I want to ask: if adding 15ml of wet ingredients, how much of dry ingredients should I use in grams?because I don't know how big is your cup and how much grams of dry ingredients goes into the mix😊
Love your video. Great helpful advice. Would you use Epsom salts, my recipe has it. They always cracked. Also, can you make and shrink wrap immediately
As ever Dora, you are the BEST at giving great instruction and advice!! One quick question: where did you get those formula sheets? They seem really detailed and would be very helpful!
I love the video and I learned a lot of things thanks for sharing this!!! I am from Ethiopia east Africa, one time I tried to make this bath bomb and I got so many issues most of them you addressed but I want to ask you how to make the life longer than this like one bomb for one day?
What kind of carrier oil do you use in the mix you make to rewet the mix? Or does it matter> Also I love your channel you so detailed about everything which makes it a lot easier when making products
Thanks for all of your videos!! I occasionally will have a bath bomb that once dry, is extremely light. What do you think might be the cause? Haven't made any in about a year, but I might try again. I got tired of being frustrated and dealing with the messes they make, lol. Love how cool they would turn out though when they did! :)
In my opinion a light bath bomb is a good thing. I know what you're talking about though. I don't know the reason why some are lighter/heavier. Like I said, those little buggers can be tricky!!
Hi Dora, could you tell me why my bath bombs have developed little white spots the day after making them. I have never had this happen before. I would love any advice you have .x
My bath bombs last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. The ingredients you add will slow down or accelerate fizz. Things like slsa, corn starch, and cream of tar tar slows down the reaction in your bath bombs.
All great answers. Go to this playlist ruclips.net/p/PLZ9mkRAAYRNMWeLwf1jGNE1v2W1RtNxOc Watch the 2 videos on "ingredients & reactions explained". It has EVERYTHING you need to know about speeding them up & making them last a few minutes or slowing them down so they go on & on.
I don't know how to avoid the bathbombs leaving a residue in the bathtub, looks like I need a binding/emulsifier ingredient but I'm not sure what to use. I don't want ps80
HI, I always enjoy watching your vidoes. I know the humidity is such a key factor for a successful bath bomb but Is it still good to make the humidity as low as possible like around 20~30%. Further, as you know a humidifier makes the temperature higher and do u think it plays such a role?
hi, im just watching your video's and i have a question. I want to make a Bathbomb with honey powder. Honeypowder is freezedried honey. Do you have an indication of what ingredients I should increase or decrease and how much honey powder is should use?
why don't you use epsom salts and can you put the wet ingredients in teaspoon or tablespoons please the recipe i used called for 2&1/2 tablesppons of coconut oil i used a liquid and i used epsom salt left 24 hours they crumble and you can see the oil float on the top how do i know how to change the amout of oil
I just made your rock hard recipe bath bomb. The wet ingredients thickened after adding the color powder to the point that it would not pour and it was quite dry. I was able to mix in all the ingredients and I put them in the mold but I forgot to add in the extra color powder so I did not have enough for 3 x 2.5" containers. Can you tell me why the wet ingredients would do this. Should I just add the color into the dry ingredients instead of in the wet ingredients. I live in Canada. Thank-you in advance.
Thank you for being the most straightforward and informative maker of these kinds of videos!
Glad you like them!
I’ve been all over RUclips trying to find a video just like this. To the point and very informative without too much talking! Thanks so much 😊

I agree. I don't use water or alcohol, just oils.
I did it like that for the past 3 years & a few months ago I started incorporating water into my recipes & the bombs got a lot harder.
But does it float? Mine sink and I can’t figure out why but I had a suspicion it was the oil
You give us a good information .. Big thanks for your help and advice ❤

I dont think it does matter. Unusually I use grapeseed, sweet almond, or apricot (i use the cheaper oils for this)
Great video
BTW YOU ROCK!!
when i released my bomb into water there were pores showing but it fizz and spin i liked the spin part it spun for a long time

Hi Dora, could you tell me why my bath bombs have developed little white spots the day after making them. I have never had this happen before. I would love any advice you have .x
Thanks for all the information. My bath bombs float but they take forever to finally dissolve. Is that from packing too tight?
My bath bombs last anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes. The ingredients you add will slow down or accelerate fizz. Things like slsa, corn starch, and cream of tar tar slows down the reaction in your bath bombs.
Decrease the amount of SLSA or just take it away so you can see the difference.

I've been really wanting to create a bath bomb using Coco Betaine, but can't find any. Does anyone have suggestions!?
the drying process is at air temperature or put in the fridge within 24 hours please answer miss

I was able to mix in all the ingredients and I put them in the mold but I forgot to add in the extra color powder so I did not have enough for 3 x 2.5" containers. Hey Dora I have been making them, is it normal for mica to stain your bath? My colors stain the bath. I don’t want customers to be upset
hi, please tell me exactly the grams of dry ingredients
Then I threw them in the toaster and they blew up🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂 OMG what a day
What is the best temperature/ humidity for making bath bombs???!!
A cool room around 75°F and probably about 45% humidity or lower
Could you make your recipe cards available to print? Or let me know where you got them? Please

One question could I use arrow root powder instead of corn starch due to auto immune issues and allergies?
Sure
@Creative Bath Lab perfect! Thank you! Love your video's! Keep up the great work you are amazing 👏
Where can we buy your bath bombs?
How much Cream of Tartar or Clay would you add?
depends on what you want.
i go back to this video 10th time
