I do single bombs in a half sheet of iridescent plastic tissue paper(Or clear) then, 2 half sheets of tissue paper with a cute raffia bow and my label. I can wrap ANYTHING this way, it depends on the amount of paper needed is all. If I'm retail, once sold, I slip those in an eco-friendly paper bag with handles and my logo STAMPED so I save a crap ton....I use white ink so you can see it for miles against my dark purple bags. I order the bags in solid colors or seasonal designs(Christmas). I display the bombs in BIG glass bowls some on different length wooden pedestals to give dimension and design to my table. I use smelling dishes(had a potter friend hand make- about the size of a ring keeper??) in front of each bowl with a name card so, they can see, touch and smell before buying without damaging my PACKAGED products. It keeps dirty hands out of my sanitary bath bombs! LOL. My regular customers have gotten to know their favorite smells by its color tissue paper....LOL. Example: Strawberry is 2 red papers with white bow, watermelon is grinch green over red with red bow, blueberry is navy blue and white. I've even started buying more elaborate tissue papers like the iridescent plastic paper and still I'm good on the price. The only thing with tissue paper...buy a sample before bulk because you want quality paper. Check it out! If it's cheap and see thru it lowers your look to the dump! You want the good stuff...not the dollar store kind. I mean, I'm only using half a sheet and a sheet costs me like 2 cents! By the time I'm done I spend 8 cents on packaging for one bath bomb. I've found this adds festive value because you can gift it like it is. Once home, it's even cute sitting by the tub. It screams USE ME NOW and GET MORE once it's gone. Tissue paper is CHEAP and so is Raffia ribbon. Sometimes, I find a good price on little trinkets to put on the raffia that the girls use for pendant necklaces. Also, I advertise with bracelets the teens like wearing. "How cute...where did you get that?" kinda thing. LOL. Anyway, I've just written a book....LOL. I drive an hour to get tissue paper from my local distributor. It saves me all the shipping costs to do so since I get other supplies while in town. Win. Win.
This has been the most helpful comment! Thank you for taking the time to write it. I just now decided to start doing research for bath bomb packaging, this is the first video I found, and your comment is exactly what I was looking for! Much gratitude 🙏
☺I really love your packaging ideas, especially the clear bags with all the goodie inside. I'm looking for packaging for my retail shop as gift bags and your clear bag idea is so lovely and pretty. Thank you for doing this video and saying where you purchased them. So, helpful.
Thank you so much!! I honestly prefer the shrink wrap only packaging. It is the quickest and displays best for markets & retail shops! For smaller custom orders (for bridal showers, etc) I like using the clear boxes if I can!
So wild ... none of the farmer's markets where I live allow any kind of plastic packaging whatsoever. Everything MUST be paper and/or biodegradable. Cellophane is considered plastic according to the market management here in SE Florida. Because of that, I'm unable to sell shower steamers at market because of the insanely high humidity on a daily basis. Ah bummer, guess I'm still at a market-packaging stand still. 😫
I use just shrink wrap for retail & markets (more visually appealing to draw people in) and I use the clear boxes or Kraft bags for custom orders depending on the size of the bath bomb and what the customer wants.
excellent video. fully agree on it all. i do love the clear boxes, but the waste of one time plastic makes me unable to do it. but it sure looks nice. i also dont like the raw idea. i mean so many people are picking it up to smell it. it just doesnt feel fresh. ya know what i mean. anywho, thanx for breaking it all down!@@desertbathcompany
I stumbled across your video somehow and wow how neat love the shark bath bomb its cute, I did have 2 questions now that I've seen your whole video. Do you ship everywhere? And secondly I was wanting to know where can I buy those clear bags with the mesh those are super cute & I am looking for bags to give away as party favors for my daughter's sweet 16, & those clear bags with the mesh caught my attention bc they're sturdy and see through and cute. Do you know where they sell them or what are the named, or what company sells them? any info helps truly, thank you and God bless 😊
So glad you found my video! I no longer sell online but I used to ship anywhere in the U.S. and Canada. For the white organza mesh bags, I got them off amazon. These ones were size 4x6. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07T8L3PRK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Thank you so much for commenting!
It's not the mesh bags it's the white clear bag towards the end of the video that has all the lavender products it's a clear square bag and has like mesh on top , those are the ones I'm looking for just because they look sturdy enough to put all the sweet16 stuff inside and the mesh on top just adds to it to make it look elegant
