I remember a thew years back a lad on a reservoir near me had his pod, alarms and rods stolen. He got up made a brew about 5am and came out checked his rods , got back in bed after his brew for a couple of hours and when he came out at 7 am it was all gone , figured they'd turned his alarms off, cut his lines and just picked up his full set up 😮

I'd say your advantage group of scallies who are out to nick your kit will be 'tooled up'. So they'll probably take it away. The odd night trips I do are on gated waters, so I should be safe. Sadly, it's a sign of the times.

Some little rats pretended to be interested in what i caught at 10 o'clock at night a couple of weeks ago. They where shinning theres phones lights on my set up. I ask them if they came to steel my stuff whilst holding a big walking stick. They said they just came to see how is was doing and they fished there and ran off lol. Be carefull on banks at night made me think twice about night fishing..

It isn't 100% intruder proof, 1 place I fish the owner was x army and he used to have spec forces fishing it, it wouldn't of stopped them, apparently they had trip wires etc up coz they use to mess with eachother so one came into the swim in a wetsuit from the lake. 🤣

I wouldn't ever pay £1000 for a set of rods or reels, you can get a decent set up for far cheaper, the last 6 inches is where you should be spending time and money 😊
all this will do is make people start to ignore the fact you actually have a dog for all dog owners (once people get used to things like this) making them still tempted to pinch your kit (thinking its a fake dog) when they would not of if stupid shit like this was not invented 😡plus people will just start picking up the sensors and walking off, will be a very easy item to pinch and run off with🤦♂
