I left the Nash team about 5 years ago. I was only a team member for a couple of years but I soon realised there was more to my fishing than having the brand attached to it. I fish for me now
I would like to say that just Alan is something different than the rest famous anglers i meet him for the first time in carp den bosh this year and he was the person that gives you just the vibe being there and feel good to meet he just welcome me so nice like im friend of him and he is the only one that who didnt even tell me to check them new products or try to sell me something. He is the real person whos there just to have fun and meet his fans. Keep what you doing Alan, whatever you do we would like to watch you and support you and none of the rest cant even reach your level of being a good angler and really good person im just so happy that i meet you in real life and had the chanse to take a picture with you and talk to you. Thank you !
Got rid of my huge set up last year as lost my love for it all , got my buzz back now with 1 6ft rod and hitting the canal with my son. Lakes are not the same but enjoying it with my boy is better than chasing carp for instagram
im 30 and been carp fishing since i was 3-4 years old.. in my honest opinion social medias ruined it. i still have my love for carp fishing but i don't do it for pictures for the internet and i never have but the amount of people who do is ridiculous. fishing is all about getting away from the rat race life is and enjoying yourself i dont see how people enjoy catching a fish to then throw it all over the internet..
As a 40 year old whos mad for match fishing but does a bit of carping, always loved Alans vids. Actually started doing a bit of carping as i was inspired by urban banx and wanted a way to fish for a few hrs without being gone the whole day away from the family. Times have changed and the way we live has changed too. Producing tackle for short session angling or tackle that could help encourage kids and wives into the sport, can onky be a good move.
Whatever type of films you make Alan, there will be success and interest in them. Its your personality and enthusiasm which gets peoples attention and endears you to them. The fact you now want to involve your family in your filming is just another extension to your personality. And success and support for your films will inevitably follow. Just carry on being you Alan.
I honestly think if you went and made films similar to jurassic carp one that you did with Kevin Nash would blow up. That episode because was more fishing for the unknown was amazing I just wish it was much longer. Imagine fishing them lakes with your family and a couple mates
@Edge-of-Reason it's not that either tho that is a big reason but fishing is not relaxing anymore any decent day tickets are always rammed u drive miles to fish and no spots are available as owners lie and any syndicates are stupidly expensive and a lot off the fisherman in the public eye hog these lakes like Burghfield rh lakes Horton kingsmead Wellington Country Park is getting to the point I've lost love for fishing
I agree. It’s thrust carp fishing into its own genre. You either go fishing, which is by and large pleasure fishing, anything that bites to now just carp fishing. When I started fishing, you learnt the basics and got proficient and then you dedicated time to a species or discipline or carried on. All good carp fishermen I knew started fiddler bashing, moving onto the likes of tench, crucians and bream. Then it evolved into a more honed approach, these days. The learning curve has been replaced by RUclips, Facebook - etc. I belong to a club and I went to a water, didn’t realise the carp didn’t grow beyond 12 pound. The average was about 6/8 - everyone on there was bolt rigging. boilies. standard carp tactics - complete overkill for the quary. but experience would dictate that. The way these vids go on, it doesn’t matter if these carp are two pound. The way to catch them is - ledgering, coated braid, boilies, safety clip, leader… after all, this is a business.
DnB will last forever. You do what you feel best to do. Best of luck on your next adventure. I think the family fishing idea is a quality idea, and will reach out to even more viewers, plus gain more youngsters on the bank following their parents footsteps.
If Alan read the 10 o clock news I'd watch it! He's just great to watch it's his vibe! Finding someone else to carry that on is difficult Alfie is superb to watch but given the choice! 😔
Thanks for the awesome urban banx over the years Alan it really did inspire me in my own fishing I love watching the videos back ,they still give me the buzz, like the first time seeing them , peace & happiness is everything in life when you have your peace you will feel proud & happy ,i wish you that in your future fishing mate ,Team alan the real urban carper 👍
Wonder when people will realize making Nash rich & promoting the sport will be the death of the Carp scene. The carp have never cared what kit you use or what stupid boilie. Are boilies natural? Does a carp know what one is? All commercialism bs
I don't agree with what he says about the family fishing I never watch those too cringy. That should be a private thing. Who would want a cameraman around when on holiday.
Alan fuck the designer stuff in life stay humble family fishing work in that order 🤣🤣🤣🤣✌🏻👍🏻and it don’t matter what you do we love you fishing don’t where or how or what for
Thats fishing now people just want nuwest bivvys tackle rod's pods then say i cant afford to put 5kg of boilies in a day yet what do thay fink fish eat the nuwest tackle if thay put time in to prebait every day the lack thay fishing and wach the water and learn water craft wich is free thay be a better angling but thay just want to be on nuw phone all day which cost over a grand some of them. and just going to the lack every day to whach whats going on a put baits in its a simple as that bait every day and time but thats to hard for some people to do

totally agree, social media and the tackle industry have destroyed carp fishing. its now about camping and socials.
