I think the pro max has a natural draw due to the large screen and battery life, but for me not very practical day to day, and you notice this more as time goes on. This year I went with the Pro and 512GB. Coming from the mini it was a huge upgrade for many reasons. I really like the size, the weight and the dynamic island so much. I can still use 1 hand for most tasks. The battery life is impressive! With that mini I had to charge and re-charge my phone multiple times a day.The blue color is 🔥
Nope dude, for the second time, there is a camera difference too (this time it’s zoom range only, last time, for 12 pro and pro max, it was all over the camera setup )
I decided to try out the pro max this year. I’ve had the smaller pro for 11 pro, 12 mini, 13 pro, 14 pro, now 15PM. Loving the extra battery. I can’t one hand certain things but that’s ok. We’ll see what happens next year. Right now I’m enjoying the device!
You will probably return to smaller size. I had a small phone, then got a huge phone for the big display, then got the 15 Pro and my god typing with one hand again feels so good. Fuck big phones.
Since I'm trying to reduce the amount of time I spend on the phone, the Pro is an obvious option for me. The size and usability are bonuses. Also the 3x lens is much more useful for people photos. Based on my time of shooting professionally, something closer to 85mm equiv. is better for casual shots compared to something closer to 120mm which is quite a niche focal length.
All of Aaron’s points here are spot on. FWIW I went with the Max this year after several years on the smaller variant. Ultimately wanted more screen and battery for content consumption, following poor 14 Pro battery performance experience. Also the new camera feature(s) tipped it over the edge for me. Went with natural Ti inside a Pitaka case (for minimal added bulk). My wife got the blue Ti. Both look fantastic.

The fact the smaller Pro is the same everywhere else and still manages to have all day battery is just a plus.
After 2 years of 13 pro max I’m going to go with the 15 pro. I saw it on best buy and I knew I have to get it once the smooth rounded edges felt so good to hold in my hand and the camera isn’t much of a difference for an average person.

So the bottom line would be, if I were to be a person who loves the 3x zoom photography rather than 5x, it’s actually better for me to opt for the pro?

60hz is alright if you've never used a device with a high refresh rate, but it's almost unusable if you're coming from something like a 14 Pro. Apple does this intentionally to prevent Pro series users from moving to a standard model.
I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max in blue titanium:) I love my phone. I upgraded from my iPhone 11. I became an iPhone user last February and I will never switch!
I received the pro max two weeks now and I don’t see much difference then my 13 pro max that I trade in just the weight, and I never use my phones without a case so very little difference,I upgraded every 2 years .
Great vid Aaron! I went with the 15 Pro Max after 2 years on the regular 13 Pro -- I haven't owned a plus-sized iPhone since the 6 Plus, but after hearing that this year's models were lighter, that sent me in the direction of the Max. Thankfully it isn't a brick like the 14 Pro Max like I feared; it's very easy to use for a "big" phone. Very happy with the ergonomics as well as the battery life -- initially it was poor and overheated randomly often but after the 17.0.3 update, it's now functioning as expected. I also decided to rock it caseless this year
Thanks for sharing this! I’m thinking of upgrading to the 15 pro max from the 13 pro so this is really helpful to hear. How do you find carrying it around day to day like do you find it too bulky?
@@greggedman4282There was definitely an adjustment period because of the size difference but now it really feels just right. Note that my hands have definitely gotten bigger since I got my 13 Pro so mileage may vary lol. It’s surprisingly lighter than I thought and in most instances I can use it one-handed. I do find that it’s a noticeable weight in my pockets but eh, all things are so that’s no big deal for me. My advice to you would be to hit up your nearest Apple Store and see how it feels in the hand
@@theslacker29ify I recommend! Bigger screen and better battery were the things that appealed to me in the 2 years since I got my 13 Pro, since I found that, more and more often, I’d have to charge up halfway through the day in order to make it to the end without a dead phone
I have both pro models, I initially got the 15 pro back in October for the size but over the past few months I’ve felt myself regretting the 15 pro so I ended up getting the 15 pro max yesterday
I really love the bigger screen and battery, however I wish they keep the 3x zoom camera for the pro max instead of 5x. It doesn’t seem like a very useful length
Consistently good reviews 🎯 My iPhone 15 Pro Max Natural Titanium is arriving via Fed Ex tomorrow 🥳🍀🙌🏼📱 Upgrading from a iPhone 10 purchased in 2017…. Even at 64 years old I’m feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve 🎁 🎄😂
Have always had the Pro size but for the 15 iphone I went Pro Max and am kicking myself for not going with 6.7 a long time ago. It's almost unnoticeable with large hands and I never text one handed and the camera feature won me over.........
Photographers, beware. If you are going to buy a new generation of iPhone, I have one major warning: the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a five-fold zoom, but optically it cannot "do" the key portrait "3x" zoom (approx . 77 mm). So if you want to take pictures of people, it is better to avoid it.
Excellent review. Straight and to the point. Samsung 22 Ultra user deciding whether to go Pro or Pro Max. Decision day is this coming Friday. Reason - going to the Apple ecosystem. I'll miss the S pen.
Thank you for this nice little comparison! I got my pre-ordered iPhone 15 Pro Max in black titanium and 256gb of storage last friday. Before I had the 13 Pro (non-Max). Greetings from Switzerland in Central Europe!
The screen resolution is not the same as you stated at 3:26. The pixel density is the same, though, at about 460ppi for both devices. This means the 15 Pro Max has an higher overall resolution.
The iOS ui is terrible for big phones but I’m glad I went with the max For most tho I think the pro is better The pro battery life is super disappointing tho
3x and 5x telephoto comparison is good, but why compare 15x vs 25x? Can you just help compare 10x vs 10x and 15x vs 15x? most of people won't use 25x but 10x or 15x on pro max is definitely useful... thanks
I find the 3x lens more versatile cos of its 77mm focal length… 5x zoom is too close for portrait shots.. need to really move back from your subject which may proof difficult for street photography when it’s crowded
The 15 Pro just feels amazing in the hands. I checked the whole 15 lineup yesterday in person and both the regular 15 and 15 Pro are so nice to hold. But the 15 Pro felt a bit more compact and it look really powerful with that big camera bump. The Pro Max is just a bit too big but I think that it would feel better after time. I have the regular 12 that also is 6,1 and it feels a bit different than the 15 Pro. But it is a bit unnecessary that the Pro Max have an advantage to the 15 Pro in the camera.

I had the iPhone 15 pro for a day as I thought I’d change to the smaller screen but the battery life was no good as a power user. I managed to change it in the Apple Store for the 15 Pro max and glad I did. If the battery life on the pro was 8-9 hours of use ,I would go back to the smaller device

For now it’s actually none of the above. My 13 mini still going strong and even better now with the latest ios 17.0.3 update. Between my watch ultra and MacBook air M2 I get pretty much everything i need to get done without the bigger models. I know eventually I’m going to have to upgrade since the mini line up is dead(thanks for nothing apple) but for now i think i’ll get another year out of the mini. It’s battery health is at 98% after almost a year and just love the portability and punch power of that little guy.
I just got a used 13 mini going from a 7 plus. The 7 plus is basically the same physical size as the 15 pm. I was going to trade the 13 mini for a 15 Pm to get the $830 off because I thought I needed a larger phone. I’m actually thinking of keeping the mini !! It’s a great iPhone. Apple is crazy for discontinuing the mini.
I've never owned an iPhone but I'm considering buying the IPhone 15 pro for myself but I'm totally torn between the Pro and the Pro Max...I'm going to wait until September and get the 16
I purchased the black titanium iPhone 15 Pro 256GB cash from Apple and I’m definitely enjoying the only dislike I have is the “battery drain” isn’t fairly the best with all the settings tweaked out to save the most battery I can.
I too chose the Black titanium! Didn’t find the Natural titanium very attractive. The blue on 13 Pros and Purple on 14 Pros were really amazing colors, but the time there’s no such color.
I’ve heard that there is a huge difference in speaker quality between the two this year. Can you please confirm if that’s the case? I think this year I’m going for the pro max, even though I was using the regular pros in the past couple of years.
@@ranmasaotome2876 Volume wise they’re about the same. Clarity wise, the iPhone Pro Max because there is a speaker facing you from the ear piece. Whereas the iPad Mini 6 speakers are on the side.

Sticking with a 14 Pro Max. I’ve been upgrading every two years now since XS Max, and there’s not enough that excites me with 15 Pro that would get me to pounce a year early. Looking forward to bigger displays next year anyway.
It's boring but more practical changes than anything. The weight improvement / distribution as well as the curved sides with the 15 Pro Max to me was well worth the upgrade alone. Feels quite a bit more comfortable to hold.

I upgraded from an 11 Pro to a 15 Pro Max and I have mixed feelings about it. While I love the bigger screen to watch videos on and the battery life, I struggle when I try to use it one handed. It definitely feels more like a chore when I have to do hand gymnastics or just free up my other hand to use it two handed. Maybe I’ll upgrade to a 17 Pro next time. I have the iPhone 15 Pro Max in blue titanium:) I love my phone. I upgraded from my iPhone 11. I became an iPhone user last February and I will never switch!
You don’t miss the smaller size?
@@nick_aheh I do not, I prefer larger phones for my hands😁
Thanks for a great video. Looking at the photos, I actually thought the Pro were sharper.
You are amazing ❤thank you
I personally believe that the 128 storage is gonna slowly phased out where eventually the 256 storage will be the new base model
Well obviously
I currently have the 13 pro and I'm thinking about getting the 15 pro max 256gb..
@@anakinfan8 thanks for sharing your experience about the phone.. When I upgrade, I'm going for the 15 pro max!
Most helpful video I’ve seen . Thank you
I have both pro models, I initially got the 15 pro back in October for the size but over the past few months I’ve felt myself regretting the 15 pro so I ended up getting the 15 pro max yesterday
now update me i’m also about to get 15pm how’s the size nd how’ it feels in hands
I really love the bigger screen and battery, however I wish they keep the 3x zoom camera for the pro max instead of 5x. It doesn’t seem like a very useful length
then dont use it lmao its just an extra for you
I wish they had 1 3 & 5 telephoto zoom on the 15 pro max as I feel that 2x is useless for what I use it for
Helped me a lot
Consistently good reviews 🎯
My iPhone 15 Pro Max Natural Titanium is arriving via Fed Ex tomorrow 🥳🍀🙌🏼📱
Upgrading from a iPhone 10 purchased in 2017….
Even at 64 years old I’m feeling like a kid on Christmas Eve 🎁 🎄😂
I upgraded from iPhone 13 and my iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB Black Titanium is arriving tomorrow
That’s awesome 😎
Have always had the Pro size but for the 15 iphone I went Pro Max and am kicking myself for not going with 6.7 a long time ago. It's almost unnoticeable with large hands and I never text one handed and the camera feature won me over.........
Went with a pro max this time. I went from a 12 pro to 15 pro max and the battery is really great especially if you game on your device
The iPhone 15 Pro Max is the best iPhone I have ever used since iPhone 6.
I went for the 15 Pro Max mainly for the camera and battery life. I usually just get the Pro model.
Same here. Adjusting to the size still but the weight helps a lot.
Is it good
@@lilkarey So far no issues.
@@raylewis99 I'm thinking of getting a pm too.
15 Pro max black T , absolutely love it.
Photographers, beware. If you are going to buy a new generation of iPhone, I have one major warning: the iPhone 15 Pro Max has a five-fold zoom, but optically it cannot "do" the key portrait "3x" zoom (approx . 77 mm). So if you want to take pictures of people, it is better to avoid it.
iPhone X, waiting to see what the iPhone 16 Pro Max offers. I have one more year of security updates for iOS 16 too.
Excellent review. Straight and to the point. Samsung 22 Ultra user deciding whether to go Pro or Pro Max. Decision day is this coming Friday. Reason - going to the Apple ecosystem. I'll miss the S pen.
What did you end up getting, same boat
Love the 15 pro. Using it now. Great in the hand and camera
Which color did you choose?
black is best
@@KingTechHD how is the battery life?
Never been interested on the Max size!
Is 128gb enough? If you are planning to buy 15 pro ?
Thank you for this nice little comparison!
I got my pre-ordered iPhone 15 Pro Max in black titanium and 256gb of storage last friday. Before I had the 13 Pro (non-Max).
Greetings from Switzerland in Central Europe!
The screen resolution is not the same as you stated at 3:26. The pixel density is the same, though, at about 460ppi for both devices. This means the 15 Pro Max has an higher overall resolution.
The iOS ui is terrible for big phones but I’m glad I went with the max
For most tho I think the pro is better
The pro battery life is super disappointing tho
I love the 15 pro max and the blue titanium is gorgeous and the camera quality and battery life is amazing it’s an absolute amazing jump from the XR
15 pro is better
@@simonasisi9209 well for you in size yeah but for me the battery life and camera quality are better on the 15 pro max
I have a 13 mini ( for travel and foreign SIM cards ) and a 14 pro ( for everyday). Both have 512 Go. No need to update for at least 2 years
Do you want 6.1 or 6.7
Do you want regular or large
Do you want one hand use or two simple.
Already got my Natural Grey 1TB iPhone 15 Pro Max and absolutely love it. Coming from a Gold 1TB 13 Pro.
Should i buy 14 pro max or 15 pro,
And i am okay with the screen size and the battery
I got the 15 Pro 1TB in Natural Titanium. I love it coming from my 13 Pro 512GB in Sierra Blue. It’s the perfect size for me.
I been using the regular galaxy s23. Is the perfect size, easy and quick to use with one handed. This is why I am now buying the iphone 15 pro.
I enjoy using the standard pro these last few generations, I stand firm on Apple still needing help in the software department on the bigger iPhones.
I was using 14 pro max earlier now i am confused which mobile should i get i went to dubai mall apple store but i didn't get it because i am confused which one to get
I love the blue titanium
I had the iPhone 15 pro for a day as I thought I’d change to the smaller screen but the battery life was no good as a power user.
I managed to change it in the Apple Store for the 15 Pro max and glad I did.
If the battery life on the pro was 8-9 hours of use ,I would go back to the smaller device
Hi Aaron. Thanks for the informative comparison of the two phones.
I’m considering upgrading to the 15 Pro Max from my 13 Pro. Hoping to get it in the natural titanium finish
think i will too, coming from the base 13 tho
to be honest i like the iphone 15 pro camera better it looks more realistic
Thinking to stick with my iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB. I expected so much more development on 15 Pro Max especially for camera technology
thank you i was confused now i bought both 😂
Hi, I want to buy iphone 15 pro max but unable to decide coz of heating issues people are showcasing on their device can u please suggest me whether I should buy it or instead go with 14 pro max.....Thank You!!
I’ll keep my 13 Pro awhile longer. E sim is a deal breaker for me as I sometimes switch phones.
As always, great and fun content from Aaron
I've never owned an iPhone but I'm considering buying the IPhone 15 pro for myself but I'm totally torn between the Pro and the Pro Max...I'm going to wait until September and get the 16
16 pro or 16 pro max?
Nice detailed video
Thanks! 👍
I have both and can confirm that the Pro Max speakers sound way better. I also compared them to my iPad Mini 6 too
@@MatthewVlossakwhich has better quality? The ipad mini or iPhone promax?
@@ranmasaotome2876 Volume wise they’re about the same. Clarity wise, the iPhone Pro Max because there is a speaker facing you from the ear piece. Whereas the iPad Mini 6 speakers are on the side.
These two devices measures different temperature of your area . The pro max says 62 Fahrenheit and the pro says 61 Fahrenheit. Is it correct? How is this possible?
Is the 15 Pro zoom camera lens different from the iPhone 13 Pro zoom camera lens? 🏴
Sticking with a 14 Pro Max. I’ve been upgrading every two years now since XS Max, and there’s not enough that excites me with 15 Pro that would get me to pounce a year early. Looking forward to bigger displays next year anyway.
So your gonna go for iPhone 16 next year than I guess?
It's boring but more practical changes than anything. The weight improvement / distribution as well as the curved sides with the 15 Pro Max to me was well worth the upgrade alone. Feels quite a bit more comfortable to hold.
could you do a comparison between the iPhone 14 plus and 15 pro max.
I’m upgrading to 15 pro max from 12 pro can’t wait a little late but still excited
I have the 14 Pro Max in 256GB. No plans to upgrade until the 17 Pro. More than happy with my phone.
i have a 12 pro max and i'm still stuck between the 15 pro and pro max. my hands are small but i'm used to the big size of my 12pm since i had it since launch. but at the same time i wouldn't mind getting a smaller phone, idk 😭 cause here in EU there's only a 70eu difference between them so it's not much of a dealbreaker for me pricewise
Have a 12 pro max and was thinking to get the 15 pro to downsize on size 🤷✌️🙏🇨🇦
Same exact situation... what did you decide @gk9417
Thanks for this review 👌🏻
his "hiiii errone" in the intro is starting to sound more goofy with every video 😂
I'm leaning to the Pro Max right now...probably the 16
Went with the pro this year learned my lesson with the 13 max way to bulky imo but good battery life
I went with the 15 pro 512K, blue titanium.... Very happy with the look, and it feels like it runs a little hotter than the 13 pro I had. thank for all the info you put out.
What do you mean runs a little hotter then the 13 pro I have the 13 pro and want to upgrade to the 15😊
iPhone 15 pro max blue titanium 256gb came from a iPhone 12 black 64gb big upgrade for me love it so much
The only reason you would prefer the Pro over the Pro Max is the more compact size and lower price tag.
Don’t forget battery life there is a big difference in battery life.
More pocket-ability
Has the overheating issue been solved?
I upgraded from an 11 Pro to a 15 Pro Max and I have mixed feelings about it.
While I love the bigger screen to watch videos on and the battery life, I struggle when I try to use it one handed. It definitely feels more like a chore when I have to do hand gymnastics or just free up my other hand to use it two handed.
Maybe I’ll upgrade to a 17 Pro next time. I’ve still got about a year and a half to decide haha!
honeslty them making the bezels thinner by shrinking the dimensions of the phone was the best decision imo
I’m getting the I phone 15 in black 🖤💪🏾
i got 13 pro is worth getting 15 pro now 128gb ? and shouldi use pro res raw on phone for photos for social media
Wait for the 16
All are so good
I went from a 14 pro to the 15 pro max natural titanium. First time with the PM model and I actually prefer it
Went from Xr to 15Pro and at times I wish I went for the 15 plus. The battery just isn’t that great…. But then you go out with the family and take some photos… yeah the 15 Pro stays. 😊
For the battery I’ll just order a 200 gram 5000 mAmp anker powerbank to top it up
How's the battery compared to XR? Is it better or not?
@@ranmasaotome2876 The battery on my XR was exceptionally good. The 15Pro one is okay I guess. I keep it between 90 to 20 percent but it will get me through the day.
Where’s the screen protector details?
iPhone 15 Pro Max, natural titanium, 1 TB.
I am Getting my IPhone 15 Pro Max from iPhone 14 Plus from Verizon from the Early Upgrade Program and I chose the iPhone 15 Pro Max due to battery life and Camera features and The Larger Size 😊😊
