Im gonna add 1 that might upset people, financial success in trucking isn’t for everyone, the main reason I got into trucking is because free cost of living, in life you have to identify the problems and get creative and find a solution, todays cost of living is holding people back so I said I can live in a truck and make very good money at the same time that means I could save 80% of my paychecks rather than it all making someone else rich paying bills, so if you have family and people depending on you trucking is gonna feel like any other job except you’ll never be home so think about this
I agree with you 100% on another aspect I work at a trucking garage that fixes trucks and parts are getting harder and harder to get tires are through the roof engine parts are crazy priced and I’ve seen firsthand where it’s put a lot of operators out of business in fact, we’ve had three or four trucks left on the property. They had to be towed so they just abandoned, it’s a shame
Good evening, Tyler! Sage advice for success as you always do! I’m on motorcycle trip in Arkansas! Know this…Praying for you , your family and your O/O business daily! Roll safe out there!
@raider where did you get this information from? The drivers that I am surrounded by are some of the hardest working men and women that I know. . The consistently work 60 to 70 hours a week are away from their loved ones for the majority of the year and do it all over again just to put food on their table and try and make a life for their families... I think your comment might be one of the most ignorant things I've read on RUclips
I got a damn safety termination with werner. I can't even get hired by swift. They want 6 months clean driving. I been with Werner for 1.7 year and i hit a fence on the dollar tree account and i didn't report it to Werner so they terminated me for that. But i habe zero accidents on my my record. I had skme experience with Knight transportation but i think im just fucked. My dac report says "safety termination"
I think you did pretty well paying cash for yourTruck, but you’re not earning business Credit I think you should’ve paid 30,000 for your Truck and then finance the 20,000 so you get business credit that’s my thought

Going through a divorce now. Seriously tempted to get back in a truck after this is done. I quit trucking to try and save my marriage
Good luck brotha! Just keep moving forward and everything else well work itself out 👍

Thank you Jon I really appreciate you! Also stay safe as well!
Most drivers are lazy and have no 0 work ethic. They do the minimum required and expect maximum pay.
