I'd still be using my PS3 if multiplayer for Borderlands 2 didn't dry up, the PC version of the game is a total blessing. Expiring consoles suck.
For me there's a limit to how far you can go wrong with PS across a whole generation. With Xbox, it can be a roller coaster ride.
PS gamers dont like games. Just 3rd person interactive movies. Easily pleased is what comes to mind. It means devs can put no effort into PS exclusives and charge full price so these sheep will buy them 🤣🤣

Microsoft themselves are telling consumers that they don't need a console to play Xbox games. Hardly surprising that their console sales are dropping off a cliff. Give it one more generation and Xbox will be out of the console space all together and fully third party like Sega.
I have a series x and I love it. I like xbox exclusives. I had a ps4 previously and I just didn't like the playsation exclusives.
You don't need a ps5 either. Good ps exclusive are also coming to PC. Sold my ps4 and Baught a new PC couple months back

Lucky enough to have them both now an xbox series x and a PS5. I think I prefer the PS5 for it's games and the controller but the xbox was the first one I got back in January this year and the PS5 is still in honey moon as I only got it two weeks ago. The xbox is quieter but I play with headphones on so does not make much of a difference but you can tell the build of the xbox is better, more sturdy and the cooling system is better. I got the PS5 digital only version in the Sony Summer sale for £350, I can always add the disc drive later on that model so happy days but I might think xbox for disc based games, PS5 for exclusives on PS extra exclusive games and games you can get cheap in the PSN sale. I got Hogwarts Legacy Deluxe for £30 in Sony summer sale, real bargain and currently playing Ghost of Tsushima that I could not get on xbox. I toyed with selling the xbox but having both is the best of both worlds.
I honestly regret getting the PS5. Im thinking of getting the XSX. I honestly hope that next-gen, Xbox gets their shit together. This gen is a bust either way.

Xbox is engineered to fail. Their SSD is no replaceable. It's the same with PS5 but at least you have the option to install a new SSD and run OS on it.

Don't get me wrong backwards compatibility is great but over half of Xbox players don't use so it's obviously not as much a selling point as they claim.

1) There’s not enough exclusives that are great
2) The graphical improvement over the previous generation is not a Great Leap Forward - diminishing returns at play
3) You can play the previous console generation with a huge library of games including back compatibility
they could have still refined the xbox controller. Horrible, clicky plastic feel - and i dont mean hori fight-stick clicky....i mean cheap and nasty plastic on plastic. D-pad is still and utter travesty when it comes to fighting games. I changed to PS5 due to being a streetfighter and tekken fan, simply because MS seem to think they have hit the peak of engineering prowess with their controllers. its got a great layout, but terrible execution. I'm amazed they still dont see this...

I am an xbox guy but never upgraded to xbox xs because there are no games. I could have been duped into buying the new console if microsoft filght sim was packaged in there and sold as the first game to include the world! wow would have sold a few xboxes there but they never did that. So I just dropped $100 on a PS4 with god of war and the last of us,unchartered etc. Its like an upgrade for me. loving it, great graphics - I also bought a 360 last year too. Still no new consoles tho. no real need no good games worth buying a new console for.

As Someone who’s been a lifetime PlayStation fan I absolutely love Sony I can honestly say I’m loving the series X more. This generation well Xbox in general got my first one which was a series x and man I’m blown Away with quick resume game pass is great even though most of the games I don’t play just the fact that if I wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and try different genres of games its there for me. the day one games in game pass makes it even better I just found out that for Xbox. You can go online on cdkeys and other sites like that and pay less then half price on games. Sony don’t let you do that lmao and as a hard core call of duty fan that’s all I play 90% of the time year round it’s now included in gampass that’s a super win no longer do I have to pay to play online then turn around and pay for every single game I want to play only thing Xbox is missing I feel is a better Home Screen and a controller with similar features as the ps5 one

As a person who have zero fcks given to exclusives and more fan of 3rd party games, Xbox is the better choice due to Gamepass.

Because this new MS hierarchy that are running Xbox into the ground are incompetent, and will never change under Nadella, Spencer, Booty and Bond. Terrible marketing, confusing messaging like "No Xbox console required" then releases 3 more Xbox Series consoles, Xbox first party releasing games on PlayStation and Nintendo, and saying "case by case basis" while Sony and Nintendo give Xbox nothing in return, and then the 100% focus on their Game Pass service, which you can now get pretty much anywhere, from TV's to fire sticks, to PC's. What is the point of investing in an Xbox?. I also hope Sony see the mistakes MS and Xbox have made and learn from it, and Nintendo are not that dumb so i don't worry about them.
Microsoft killed their own brand, no sympathy for them, and i wish they would stop acting like a victim with trillions of dollars, and stop preaching about shit that doesn't matter in this hobby.

With this console generation, for the first time it’s a perfect match. They are almost as powerful as each other. It might depends on your player profile.
The Ps5 is more for solo gamers who want the best gaming experience (great system UI, innovative controllers, great exclusive games), while Xbox is more for competitive/arcade gamers (better controller autonomy, perfect controller ergonomics, cross-plateform compatibilty)
Xbox is not competing with Sony when will you tin heads get that?
the business model of Microsoft is different. They rely on Game Pass services and streaming media, which I am sure most of people reading this comments has. The console model is actually hurting the companies because to manufacture they do it as a loss, hoping that games and adds on can supply for that lose revenue.
If there is no console, where will people play the games? Games have to run on some kind of device either its Console, PC or streaming servers. Atleast people are paying something for the consoles but the streaming servers are completely paid by the service provider company, and they sit idle when someone is not playing them. Also people simply won't prefer to play on streaming services if other means are available because of poor streaming quality and high latency of streaming services. Console or PC quality on streaming is still few decades away. Microsoft won't express but they are trying to overcharge people with subscription and streaming services which is backfiring on them.

With gamepass prices going up they are slowly putting the nail in the coffin for Xbox, Its the same as Playstation/Sony really, constantly making bad and anti-consumer decisions and not giving options to the players. The Xbox has a lot more options to it than the PS5 does with 60FPS options on a lot of titles and backwards compatibility.
i got a playstation 5 to play fortnite on bc i only had a switch and the reason i didn't choose xbox is because ps5 has a better feel it feels more premium

I got a Series S last year just for game pass and to play the Halo and Gears games. No need for the premium model as Xbox has not released anything that really warrants it. I have a PS5 and it’s just got more to play
