Switch lite is a great way to play the switch. Yes you can still replace the sticks it’s just a bigger pain disassembling, and there’s an OLED screen replacement mod in the works for the Switch lite. The only problem is not being able to dock the switch lite

I've barely touched my switch, it's probably the one Nintendo console I've played the least next to the Wii. And I just don't like playing it in handheld either so oled isn't worth it for me. I wanna love the switch, but there is no games I truly enjoy for it. I don't think I've played anything on it for over a year now lol.

got mine (oled) for my kid last dec. bought a switch type hdmi cord since we travel to my parents house every weekend and carrying the dock was a pain in our bag. also my uncle also got my cousin the oled yesterday. my uncle already has the ps4, i have the xb1x. so yes you could still buy the switch since its portable and mario games are just fun especially for the kids.

I bought the original before the OLED was announced. But here's how I would determine which to buy using their different modes: TV? Original. Handheld? Lite. Tabletop? OLED.

Switch suck ass. I had one. Played my Xbox more than switch. And if you wonder what Xbox I have it is the SX. Thirde party games on switch run like shit. Ninte do games is still 60-70$ after 8 years. Shit shit shit burn it to the ground an force feed Nintendo with it's ashes.

I argue switch is the only remaining true gaming console In its 8th year it has multiple exclusive titles that im excited for including new pokemon, Mario , Kirby and Metroid And more wild wacky titles In contrast the other consoles are focusing on SBI , DEI slop or live service shit

I ended up buying the LG 27gr95qe-b this december after waiting for the price to drop a little. I ended up returning 2 of them because i wasnt sure if mines was fucked but the screen coating was grainy and shitty. What i had ended up doing was buying a LG C3 after returning the 27 inch oled monitor. I liked it but the same week i bought it i found someone selling a LG C2 for 350euros less so i ended up returning the C3 seeing there was no differences honestly. I ended up paying 550 euros for it after selling my IPS 27 inch and getting a 50$ cashback after buying the C3 that made my upgrade only 350 euros :D . With the money i saved by returning the C3 to get the barely used C2 i upgraded my gpu. I mainly play valorant and watch a few movies, series time to time . Even do i have a ryzen 3600x and a 3070 rtx . I play quite comfortably around 100-250fps depending on the game at 4k. The quality the C2 gives you makes you feel you're gaming on a 5000$ PC. Its literally the most important part of the set up. Sometimes im tempted because of the 42 inch size to go back to the 27 inch LG but the grainy shit coating and 1440p makes it feel so inferior. The 27 inch oled monitor itself is beautiful and now i can find one second hand with 200hrs usage for about 450 euros. If the 27 inch had the glossy coating that the C2 has i would of probably kept it at retail price , but having been able to purchase a C2 for 250euros less and throwing that money towards a 3070rtx which isnt the best but is the bare minimum you want for 4k i cant go back to a shitty grainy matte coating it takes away everything that OLED brings to the table . The coating on the C2 is probably the best . Im in a controlled light room mostly dark. I didnt really want to upgrade but couldnt pass up the opportunity to get a less then a few months old Oled C2 for just 350 euros more and dishing out 270euros for the gpu. It didnt break the bank and i got a fantastic media consumption / gaming set up. Granted i figured 32 inch might be better for gaming or 27 with a glossy display i figured the pricing would be crazy when they would release . They're still 800-1500 euros . So i cant see myself upgrading/ downgrading depends how you wanna see it. Its odd because 42 inches from far feels big but when youre close and get used to it after a month it feels almost perfect. 120hz on the C2 honestly felt like 240hz if not better . It might be the glossy coating clarity. The 240hz LG 27 didnt feel as smooth from what i recall . Maybe its just me but for some reason the C2 felt smoother even do its half the HZ. The only risk i took was buying the C2 second hand which at the time had less then a year on it . It came with the Amazon invoice which was 932 euros . I ended up paying the guy 550 for it. The guy told me he always had hidden taskbars and all the Oled burn in preventions . He was well educated as am i . Honestly the panel has been with me 8 months now and it feels like i just bought it today. Im hella happy with it :). I would highly recommend anyone to get the C2. Because honestly its fantastic for whatever you want to use it. If you have around 60-120cm viewing distance you should be fine .

Had oled in 2023, i never regret it. I mean the graphics with some of the nintendo games are awesome, but with other high graphics game like Batman, Hogward Legacy, Life is strange,… they look kinda fake, I mean i can’t expect much from a handheld console from 2017. The coolest thing is probably you can play with friends and family on tv, I did held a lot of game night with my friends in home and still can carry the console to anywhere. Though Ps5 would be so much better on graphics, I may sell my nintendo and changed into ps5 in the future.

I’m still playing my launch day 2017 Switch, and it’s my most used console! Handheld and so many retro Nintendo games to play anywhere, anytime away from the restrictions of a TV screen. The console may be underpowered compared to Xbox and PlayStation, but the quality of games are far superior!! Nintendo first party games are a work of art. They rarely require post launch patches. They’re complete from Day 1. They rarely use loot boxes and DLC. You buy the game cartridge and you get the full experience. They retain their value. Breath of the Wild is still £30-40 whereas most Xbox games are £10 a few months after launch. People still buy and value 30+ year old Nintendo games because they’re are great value and legendary! That’s why you should buy a Switch in 2024.

they could have still refined the xbox controller. Horrible, clicky plastic feel - and i dont mean hori fight-stick clicky....i mean cheap and nasty plastic on plastic. D-pad is still and utter travesty when it comes to fighting games. I changed to PS5 due to being a streetfighter and tekken fan, simply because MS seem to think they have hit the peak of engineering prowess with their controllers. its got a great layout, but terrible execution. I'm amazed they still dont see this...

I think the 3 variants we have is perfect for everyone. I use my switch lite at work and I work in warehouse I don’t want to lose the controllers and it’s so easy to pick up and play. Normal switch is perfect for children or for someone who just wants to play and doesn’t care about anything else. OLED for us gamers and people who care about graphics.

The GPU of the Switch cannot maximize the OLED screen. Your iPhone's processor has a more powerful GPU. The Switch Lite is the best for casual gaming

Great point! I love youtube on the gcloud with a kickstand. I like it on the switch, but it takes to long to jump from youtube to back into a game on the switch. I like it holding my place in game.

I got an OLED Switch at launch. The screen is amazing and in addition to having amazing-looking games it's actually really great to watch shows on it on Hulu or other streamining services supported by Nintendo. I decided to get a Switch Lite a few months ago (blurple color which reminds me of the GameCube and GameBoy Advance) and the portability of it is incredible. Really easy to throw in my bag and take it wherever I go. I use the Switch OLED primarily as my living room console.

two things i hate isnt even on the console but the fact that nintendo doesn allow you to use an sd card from one switch with your account to another that also has your account. it sucks that you need an online sub to transfer save data. that and overpriced physical games that i would still buy cuz i like the case.

The switch has proven itself to be the winner of the current gen based on sales and games. The new consoles are only good for playing old games with faster loading times.

I own a Switch Oled, Steam Deck, and PS4. All great consoles, probably with the Steam Deck being my favorite. Switch Oled is great, too, especially if you really enjoy playing handheld, even if it is a bit underpowered. That library of games, both exclusives and third party titles is enormous, and in real world usage, it's hard to tell the difference... most of the time... that it's less powerful than so many other consoles that are currently out.

Unless you mod your switch, the performance is not going to be the same,they have the same processor but Nintendo locked it by the software so that ,the Nintendo switch from launch is the worst but that can be hacked easily,the lite is second to worst,the normal switch is above the lite and lower than the oled

I have Switch Oled and switch lite but at this moment I am playin my Ps vita 2000 Metallic Red its Gorgeous compare to my switch lite and I also love the Ps vita’s games as well
