I can totally relate! My narcissistic brother married a narcissist, and their children are also narcissists. There was strife at every turn. I could not take the constant upheaval, and I finally cut them off. We have not spoken for many years, and they live just a couple of miles from me. I have always felt guilt over that, but Kris Reece's videos are really helping me to understand what is going on; it has been so freeing!

Seems like u r a little quick to label an entire family as narcissistic rather than see them as individuals. If a “child” is a narcissist as a result of a narcissist parent- is the child REALLY a narcissist OR perhaps they are actually TRYING to establish boundaries for themselves and u could be a sweet refuge for them rather than just walk away entirely. I have addicts in my family and I HAVE begun a journey and meetings for myself but if I have a meeting for my own self help and then one of THEM wants me to do something they don’t NEED me to do then it has been said that I AM being a narcissist or selfish for trying to look out for my own peace of mind or sanity. Clearly I don’t know u or ur dynamic I’m just asking you to be aware that “self preservation “ is not the same as being a narcissist

Deeply sorry you have been through this.
It is soul crushing. I know my own daughter who has been an everyday part of my life since her birth. I have had my grandson everyday since his birth. Until last march when my daughter announced my grandson was now her prisoner and I was no longer needed. A hard discard causing my grandson and myself to grieve. My daughter takes pleasure in others pain and it is a form of control.
My grandson was 7 at the time of my daughter's discard.
My grandson loves the Lord with all his heart, mind, body and soul. He adores Jesus.
My daughter tells him there is "No God"
This cuts me and my grandson to soul.
My daughter never married and has custody. My grandson's father has been out of his life for 4 yrs now.
Please pray for our circumstances. I am asking for the Holy Spirit to bring conviction to my daughter and that she repent, be delivered and come unto Salvation in Jesus.
Substance abuse is present too. She hides it well so she thinks.
I will be praying for you beloved.
Grateful we are here and praying for one another.

The one thing I noticed the most was I was completely pulled away from my relationship with God and even reached a point of questioning my beliefs. Looking back, the entire relationship felt demonic in the sense that I felt like I was under some spell. I prayed one simple prayer for God to save me from that nightmare and a few days later it was over and I was on my healing journey. God brought me back to Him and opened my eyes to the truth, not only about the narcissist, but my own disobedience that led me down that path. He truly is a loving Father. 🙏

I second everything you said. But I was so stuck that I had completely turned away from the voice and guidance of God and began trusting in man. He became a military chaplain and eventually stopped me and the children from going to church, reading our bibles, etc. so I can say I prayed and God gave me instruction or caused him to flee from us, but out of fear, I talked him into staying as my life had completely changed from the day we met. I was a mother of four at that point and was no longer just responsible for myself. My situation ended in attempted murder and a divorce. Now I am on my healing journey with my eyes wide open and pushing to obey the voice of God from here on out. Narcissist are truly on assignment by the enemy and are protected like a strongman. They seem to get away with it all. But they do have to face God at some point because every knee shall bow at the end of it all

    • @2mckeans
      @2mckeans 8 месяцев назад +4

They are protected like a strongman? That resonates with my experience with my narc..is there supporting scripture for that concept that I can study? I truly see darkness on him at times and sometimes I smell brimstone when his cycle of abuse begins. When he rages I call out for "them" to be gone undervthe power and authoeity of Jesus Christ and the rage turns to lecturing and asvthey leave it turns to his self insight on his own behavior. Tell me if tjis man has demons working through and protecting him. He ckaims to be a neliever, he reads scriprure constantly, preaches and teaches Me constantly but has very telltale habits that such a string believer would not have. Im a believer and I study and Im in trouble. I think Im supposed yo take care of him - long suffering, etc...but he has taken over my life in So Many Ways.

Narcissism also opens the door to angry out bursts because you can never "get it right enough" for them. The frustration builds up to a point where (and you are absolutely right), they use every thing against you despite knowing you did what they asked. But it is never, EVER enough. I was a people pleaser early in life with a narcissistic mother, and nothing pleased her. Then I married a narcissistic wife, between the two of them I was contemplating suicide. But God intervened! .until an anointed man confronts them with "it is written".
Then they'll use the pulpit as a bunker, hiding behind it, firing a machine gun spray of subtle, masked counterattacks against any man who DAAAAAARES attempt to enlighten them where they err.....
      .....relentlessly, until he finally leaves!

When I was going through my divorce a few years ago, my ex being what I believe to be a covert narcissist or borderline personality disordered person (which seems very similar); when I finally agreed to divorce her God gave me a supernatural peace that lasted for hours until I went to bed and as I was going to bed I was laughing with joy. I was very confused and asked God why would you give me this peace and joy right after I agreed to a divorce that I even at that moment did not want. Over time and through information like in this video I can see that God does not want us to live in turmoil and he wants us to be able to look to Him instead of a spouse for all our validation and needs. Good stuff.

It was like a huge weight was lifted off of me, and it was evident in my attitude and appearance. The love that God has for us is greater than we could possibly imagine, and He only wants the best for us, not a toxic, abusive relationship. I did not make my decision lightly, but by asking God for discernment and clarity. Keep seeking Him for the answers, and let Him direct your path. He will show you the way.

5:13 I suffered in two narcissistic relationships for over two decades and also had other narcissistic relationships in my life as well...
I could see the destructive nature of these relationships, but could never leave because though they put me through heck, they were the only family I had...
I remember crying out to God one day, believe when I was 40, (I'm 42 now), but I cried out to him "What is wrong with me, why do I love those who treat me horribly, do whatever to me and I quickly forgive them and without any apology, we just go back to normal, I wanted to know what is wrong with me that I love those who mimic they love me, but their actions say they hate me"...

Precious one, you're in my prayers tonight. In so very sorry, but once it is over, you will indeed soar like an eagle!! I know someone who is suffering too and I also grew up with covert and malignant narc parents and siblings. These narcs are a different kind of human. Half demon half human. Their only humanity is their flesh. I hate that, and I believe through the power of Jesus Christ they can become a new creature!! HOWEVER, a big FAT however, they must want to see their sinful ways and want to turn away from all of their self driven passions. It's like they're addicted to themselves and hate anyone who gets in the way of that. It's cruel, criminal to the heart, mind and spirit. 2 Tim 3 describes them very well!! God says, "of these, turn away from them"...
Love our enemies, yes!! But remember, Jesus NEVER made then His friends!!! Pray for them!! Oh God have mercy o them. When I think of this person spending eternity in hell, my heart is in great sorrow for them so I must pray for God's mercy!! I do pray God works a great tidal wave of convicting cleansing within them for theirs and their family's sake!! God does hate divorce, but He also hates when devils attack His sheep!! He hates willful lawlessness... we must do right, speak, right and live out right. Pray for one another. Give mercy and kindness to as many as we can... this world is getting worse bc people are " lovers of themselves more than lovers of God". However, "every knewe shall bend".... every knee!! Let us already be kneeling in our hearts to Jesus when He comes because their knees will have to be broken. Let us live in Christ enduring faithfully with our knees always bent to Jesus, now

Reactive and overly intense emotional responses to what I perceived as mind games, not being listened to, or my boundaries not being respected. It lead to bouts of rage and lashing out towards people, who meant no harm. I had to re-learn that not everyone was messing with me. There were also doors of doubting God that opened and it took a long time to heal back to Jesus, as the narcissist in my life was Christian but would use scripture against me and to justify his behaviour. I knew nothing of narcissists before him, so it took way too long to figure it all out. But by God’s grace & lots of therapy, you can get back to where God feels safe & you are yourself but stronger and wiser.

"...both of these mindsets leave God out of the equation". I needed to hear this today! I have been working in the "get my power back" mindset. It hasn't really felt totally right inside to do so, but believed I needed some feelings of victory. So... taking charge of what was in my world was the answer to letting the narcissist and her flying monkey (both formerly in my inner circle at work) know they no longer had power over me. BUT - what you said showed me this: while I have been talking to God pretty much nonstop about this journey away from the narcissist and her minion, I was trying to do too much of the physical and emotional detachment behavior by myself. I "knew" I needed to surrender and forget about it all, letting God take care of me, the situation AND them - but haven't totally done it. That element to walking away from a Christian narcissist is as important as walking away from the non-Christian narcissist, but harder because... "Christian". Still, narcissism is narcissism, no matter what prettier and more attractive label the narcissist wears. Thank you Kris Reece for this excellent video. The timing of it was absolutely perfect for where I am right now!

Running over the kind gentle compassionate people. Narcs are church leaders, worship leaders! We know someone who went to their pastor for help, he turned on her and actually supported thr malignant covert sociopathic narc husband!! He made life much much WORSE for her. Basically, this pastor gave her husband permission and encouragement to abuse her even more! This woman is precious, kind, gentle. Now she sleeps in another room with her door locked. Now she wakes up with a body so tense she feels like she ran a marathon the day before! Now she is nervous every time she is home. This was a happy, content, serving loving gentle soul that this narc trashed, berated. Oppressed, smashed smashed smashed every day all day long then turns to the world, flashes his "charm" , wears his Jesus T shirts, "reads" his Bible and wins an Oscar every day for acting like a sheep. Then he gets rewarded for it!! Yet, he I'd angry and angrier bc her spirit is NOT broken! He has tried to take her safe people away. He attacks her safe people, hoping yo destroy them too. This human is inhuman. He goes after her humanity to destroy it bc, he thought she would be his slave bc of her gentle spirit!! But what someone like him does not understand is that gentle does not mean stupid or CONTROLLABLE.
Bc he has NO identity he can't understand that her identity can not shaken or unmade. Bc she truly has Jesus, loves Jesus Christ's he can't destroy her or beat her enough to become a voiceless slave. Know who we are in Jesus Christ. They can hurt the body, but they cN not destroy the Holy Spirit within God's True Believers!! Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah!!!

That’s just crazy. Yes, I was abused by a worship leader I had to work with a long time who is a covert “christian” narcissist. I can’t imagine what his wife goes through God please help her. He seemed like a decent worship leader until he would act like a baby any time he wanted something until someone gave it to him. Since he wasn’t my boss I could resist ridiculous requests and eventually he let loose his character ripping, confusing, abuse when we were alone wanting to “have a conversation.” He turned those unaware of his narcissism against me and so no group meetings to solve any problems worked. So I cut him off, told him I don’t trust him, and stopped talking to him except when I had to until I left that church. The whole audio team knew who he was. If he gets any resistance to his wishes his nature comes out eventually. What is worse is that his fingers of narcissism is throughout the leaders at that place. There are so sweet then when you try to have a conversation with someone about something that can be improved or someone didn’t do what they said, instantly it’s met with a brick wall and you do what I say mentality. So sad.

I worry about the suspicion. I'm not ready to date yet after being out of a 7 year relationship with a covert narcissist. I've been single for a year and a half and still not ready.
The kind, loving things she said and did turned out to be lies. Tonight I found a stash of old Christmas cards in the Christmas deco box and had some from her in there.
In addition to all the other loving things she wrote, the last card said that she was excited to be able to spend all the rest of her Christmases with me. She had to be planning it out since she left 6 months later to the day.
One week before leaving she gave me a Father's Day card that went on about how much she loved me and how grateful she was to God for sending me and great a husband and father I was.
I'm concerned that one day I will find a legitimately loving woman but won't be able to trust her when she is telling the truth about loving me.

Yeeees!! Our daughter was a magnet to the one she married. Once he married her, ( was very covert) he took off the "nice guy" mask. He was never unselfish. But bc she does not need much, very content with herself and life, she didn't know the trap she stepped in was ALL COVERT AND, as she has learned and taught us, that he is a very malignant, wolf in sheep's clothing sociopathic narc. Came from very covert narc mother-- whom is interested with. And the father who is malignant. Women have no value other than slaves and swx objects. Deplorable and disgusting human beings. Everyone to these narcs are currency. Their value is " what they can do for me, what they make me look like and how they make me feel". When you don't fall into their unspoken/spoken demands, and demands to KEEP their illusions/facade-- you become their enemy. If you figure out who they really are-- they attack you, smear your character with zero respect care for the truth of who you truly are, how much love or generosity you have e given them. They will seek out your family, church, even your pastor to flash their "innocent" smiles, present themselves as sheep in a "victim" mask to the very nice, ignorant unlearned Christian leaders. Pull them into their tractor beam of "charm" and place a spell in these people to belive their every disgusting pathetic lying evil spirit. They must act like sheep to get near the sheep... but some sheep smell the wolf under their sheep clothes!! All TRUE believes must be watchful!! Especially leaders and be quick to say NO, GET OUT!! Jesus Did!! MANY TIMES! The problem is many church leaders are a bunch of cowards. Lacking faith. They let evil infiltrate their churches bc they are too afraid, faithless to stand and say NO! Many wives are being destroyed every day. Many children are hurting deeply. Wives go their pastors asking for help.but some who are either narcs themselves or just do not have Holy Spirit discernment actually fall into encouraging these demonic possessed spouses to ABUSE THEIR WIVES even M O R E. We know a pastor who told the husband "who cares abt the dog, just shoot it"!... all bc the wife said the husband locks the dog in a tiny room, is cruel to the dog... (just a small example of her husband's behaviors)... what did the husband do? Well, the idiot pastor gave him permission to abuse the dog further. Now the dog shivers all the time. Is afraid of its own shadow. So we are rehabilitating the dog with love and gentleness and acres and acres of freedom to run and enjoy bring a dog. This is also how he treats his wife. He imprisons her emotional. He bashes her opinions, her feelings, her needs and wants. He stripes her of her humanity. She is not allowed to spend money without fear. She has shown she is respectful with money, but he does not care. Yet he goes out and buys new things, spends a lot of money on himself. The list goes on and on and on. It's pure evil. Then he goes to church! Wears his Jesus T shirts and reads his Bible-- right after he bashed and berates her. Oh and he holds their two old when he fights her. Tells her she's crazy. Yells at her. Tells her everyone thinks she's crazy, her family, friends, the church people. She has tried to reach out ask Pastor to help her. Did he help her? NO! The puke is a narc HIMSELF!! So he helps the narc! Narcs always pal up with other narcs--"scratch my back and I'll scratch yours"... walk away. Draw the line. Dust off your feet!! Pray the blood of Christ over you, in you, around you!! The power of His Resurrection upon you!! No weapon formed against you shall NOT PROSPER IN JESUS CHRIST'S NAME!!! PRAY PSALM 50, 90, 90, 119!!! OUTLOUD!! In Jesus Name!! In Jesus NAME! Hallelujah hallelujah hallelujah!!!!

Goodness! I grew with narcissistic parents and a former marriage to a malignant narcissist with psychopathic tendencies. Only God got me out of that marriage safely. Thank you for teaching and guiding through the word of God.

What i see with a freind encapsulated in a narrcisstic relationship was violence. Henever realized he did anything wrong! I once saw his face change, brow drop dowb,&eyes turn black. I left there trailer right away. I had to get in my houseand settle down what i had just seen.

I think one of the doors is Fear. I find myself fearing to do things so my ex his ex husband wouldn’t find out what is going on in my life and with that wouldn’t find ways to harm me. And I know that those are devil’s tactics so I would live in fear! But I remind myself- God is in control! He promised to take care of us(my son and me) and He never fails His promises! ❤

I am a victim of a victim of narcissism who (talking about myself here) also developed some narcissism along with confusion plus not knowing who I am... but the Lord has given me my identity and has helped me overcome much of the bad traits and of the confusion and I'm still growing in Him and through Him. ❤🤲

Im learning that i have a lot of narcissistic traits and am learning where and why the behavior exists. I believe my partner and ai are both narcissist. I have been trying toget a close relationship to God and have been looking for peace but not really seeking help. It wasn't until the relationship imploded and I acted in haste and really did something stupid to where I realized that I seriously have a problem. Everything is there, the abuse, the trauma bond, the co dependency. I am the person who rants and raves and yells and screams like a toddler because i don't get my way and feel like no one listens. That's because as a child no one listened. No one taught me how to have human interactions. I wasn't taught how to cope. I watchedy mother rant and rave. I watched my brothers bicker constantly and consistently. I sat in the middle of a family of six and was never nourished properly. Half of my childhood was normal but the important part wasn't. I was the product of an affair, apparently all of us were. No dad in the house. My Mom married at 17 to a mich older man, got abused and left him. Never got divorced so there was never a chance of having a father. Our fathers were absent. There is an entire list of things.
I was told to work or go to school. I was never given the tools i needed to be an adult. Nothing. I worked straight out of high school feeling resentmentful and angry because we needed money. There were a lot of factors as to why i turned into this horrible person i am today and i never realized how my childhood had bearing on the person i am today. I still try to pray, i try to read my Bible, i watch these videos but I can't get my mind to focus on practicing these techniques. I know it won't come over night. My mindset is that i can't love, no one has ever loved me, no one loves me but God, no one cares but God, snd everyone hates me or dislikes me because i try to be nice and no one is nice back. I'm hyper sensitive to everything...i guess i do everything these videos say i do. I really do it's too much to list. Then to see people say god riddence, dont deal with those people, etc. what happens to us? Can we be fixed through Jesus. Is there any hope or do we just end up old bitter and alone? Im sorry for the long comment.

There is hope in Messiah🚪🗝. All things are possible with Him. He is the Deliverer. Repent for everything your guilty of. Forgive everyone, everything.
Develop a relationship with Him as your first love. Worship Him with your nose to the floor🙇‍♀️🙇‍♂️.. Fast from food and cry out in prayer.
I pray you encounter Him. Seek Yahushua/ Jesus and find Him. Read the Bible, welcome The Spirit of TRUTH to teach you. Almighty GOD is the Greatest Physician and Counselor. He will cleanse you with His blood and use you for His honor, you are chosen by Him and precious in His sight.
🙏 I pray we find our peace and wholeness in the ONE True GOD. In Yahushua's Name

Jesus can fix us. Just come to him as you are. We all have " the good, the bad and the ugly" traits but focusing on God and asking Him to remove anything from our lives and character that isn't pleasing to Him is something I pray for. He is working on me, and helping me develop character that honors Him. ( Love, joy, peace, patience , goodness, gentleness, meekness, faith, honesty, resilience, forgiveness, strength of character, no excuses! ) I appreciate these videos. Reading Galatians ( New Testament) has helped a lot, too! I'm sensitive too but I am not going to be a lightning rod! 😂 Learning to pray for those who are mean and prideful, and not be so quick to befriend others, until I see more of who they are. 🙏🏼💖📖✝️🌿

That's a good video to use as an inspection of our lives... In the area of Confusion, another reason I have seen in my life and others who are in a narcissistic relationship where people become confused, is that we recognize we are not perfect people and so we are constantly thinking that somehow it's us and yet there is nothing outside of the normal boundaries of relationship goof ups that you can point to. To this day, I am always evaluating what I may have done to cause it to fall apart. I ALWAYS land on the same thing that I did nothing to cause such a disastrous relationship to end like it did. And the next day, I'm back at it again. It can be real cause for confusion as well as the reasons you stated. Thank you for these videos. They are helpful!

I need prayers. Please. I was walking so close to God before that man came into my life. He manipulated me and did everything he could to pull me from Christ. He ran around behind my back, and when I tried to kick him out he called me a bad fake Christian and tried to convince me Im crazy. I didn't turn on God, but I don't feel as close, and I feel I don't seek Him as hard due to this traumatic distraction. I don't want thr man back, I just want to feel as close as I did to God. ❤❤

Likely, the further out of the narcissistic relationship you get, the more your zeal for God returns. There definitely is an aftermath from dealing with highly toxic individuals such as narcissists.

@@ld1238 I am glad it helped. I was dragged away myself and taken off track. I confessed it all to God, I disregarded the red flags and telltale signs I was dealing with a false convert. After things ended, I went from a sort of relief at very first, to heavy sorrow and stress. Then to anger, and even not being so pleased with God and I felt all my prayers were a waste. But one day it was put on me to confess, Lord forgive me I ignored your wisdom to be close with that person, then things started to improve. The stress and heavy sorrow began to fade. My zeal began to return and I am good with whatever He has for me now rather than seeking my own way (being so close to the wrong person). There is no linear path or set time frame, I am sure everyone has ups and downs after the narcissistic relationship. God will not just give you up to the enemy because you fell away for a time. Take it from me, I have done some awful sins against Him in my time as a Christian but He always took me back when I humbled myself before Him (Luke 18:9-14).

Let God heal you and stay close to God whether you feel His presence as much or not. Live a repentant life, no excuses, no "shortcuts." God will restore you, and give you the joy of your salvation once more. Never trade the presence and peace of God for anything! ( I did, and I never, ever want to again. God is sweeter to me, especially after saving my life from severe pneumonia in 2020. 😢 Asking God to help me discern, and make good choices. We all need God's wisdom in this life 🙏🏼💖✝️📖☕
